"I ordered a lighter from BugStores, Order #161205-***-***-****, Item# 161205-***-***-**** @ $34.99. On 12/5/16 and after numerous calls to a voice mail and emails to their "customer service", I have not received a lighter, a phone call, explanation, or refund from this company. Up to 10/10/17 I even tried to contact my bank and PayPal to file a claim and to investigate this business, but to no avail. Both the bank and Paypal said I'm beyond their 90 day period to file a claim, so I sit here with no product to show for it, and I'm out $34.99 that both PayPal and my bank paid on. Stay away from this company, unfortunately I didn't investigate them enough thinking with the backing of PayPal what could go wrong. Now that I've done my research, there are all sorts of complaints through websites like this and the BBB. Unfortunately, lesson learned.

"Ordered three lighters while I was in Florida for a month, They took over three weeks to process my order and sent it to the address after I had left. The home owner sent the package back to BugStores and they never forwarded the package to me. I spent the last six months trying to contact them by phone and email. Never a response - not once. By trying to work through them and not my credit card, I got screwed. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!"
"Horrible customer service. I ordered a lighter and it worked for about 25 clicks. The piezo sparker will not click to produce spark. I've left 2 voicemails and sent 4 emails inquiring about a return authorization in the last 3 weeks, and have heard nothing back. Sorry to say, these folks are not reputable. Don't bother."

"I have no idea why this online store has any bad reviews. It looks like one of their competitors is trying to put out bad reviews to damage their credibility! (Shameful!) They are definitely NOT a scam!
I have been ordering from this store for at least 5 or 6 years and I love their lighters! My friends are always trying to steal them from me!! The only thing I can say is that sometimes the shipping time is -sometimes - over a week - sometimes under a week. So I inquired about that and they replied with a reasonable answer. This is from an email they wrote me:
"Sorry about the wait. But we are not Amazon.com. You can't just throw lighters in a box and expect them to work upon delivery. Every single lighter needs to be quality checked by at least 3 specific quality assurance professionals for product defects. After that, they need to be very carefully packed so they aren't damaged during transit. This ensures a quality working product out of the box."
This is reasonable to me. They are a small business which I like supporting and they offer great products at discount prices. Also, they ALWAYS send me free extras with my order, as well with well-written instructions on how to use their products. So what if you have to wait a couple more days for your shipment. I know you're going to get taken care of when I order from Bug Stores."
