"I ordered 32 very small, two-prong LED bulbs from BulbAmerica recently. I ordered double the number I would need so that in the future I could easily replace them. I paid over $150 for these bulbs; it was more than I would have liked, but their shipping was high for a smaller order, so I didn't want to do multiple orders. I figured since they were LED, they would last forever.
Boy was I wrong. Three to four weeks in, more than half of the Chinese-made bulbs had failed: switching on and off or simply going out. Six weeks in and I've exhausted all the replacements. Half the lights are empty sockets now (since I've removed them), and several of the remaining ones barely produce any light.
I previously had incandescent bulbs for these lights instead, although I prefer LED. There were no issues with those, and they lasted a surprisingly long time.
I thought BulbAmerica would do some measure of quality control for the brands they stock, but they clearly don't. I suspect in reality they're actually just a drop shipping company.
No surprise, BulbAmerica refused to stand by their product. They said that since the product arrived at my home and it was outside their warranty period, they had no responsibility for the outcome. What they don't tell you is that their bulbs might fail right around the time their warranty ends.
As a side note, the reason I ordered 32 is because they wanted nearly $20 to ship a box of 16 very small bulbs. This box easily fits in your palm and would actually cost about $5 to ship.

"I ordered three Sylvania 40w U-Shaped FB40 T12 4100k Cool White G13 Fluorescent Tubes. When I opened the package, I discovered that two of the three bulbs were broken. I notified BulbAmerica and after I provided pictures of the packaging and broken bulbs, they immediately shipped two replacements. that arrived within less than a week. I accept that accidents happen and applaud BulbAmerica for their rapid corrective action for this issue."

"I would buy more from, and recommend Bulb America if they would offer a shipping choice of the US Postal Service for orders to Canada. DHL charges way too much for their customs clearance service. I would much rather do it myself. I will not be ordering again. It's shame as your product choice is phenomenal. "
