"Bought 1 years ago & ok. Just received 3 new ones. Not labelled for which car. Customer service decoded #'s but did not match anything on car cover tag. Placed largest cover ("2XL") on Caddy and immediately ripped. Poor quality, poor materials, poor generic fit &sizing, poor customer service. Make matters worse, since they are "completely paperless", the link, for returns, adjustments, etc from original email thanking me; is broken. Imagine that. California Car Covers, I am coming home."
"AMAZINGLY bad. Basically a scam. Someone really needs to get the word out about these con artists. "
"Ordered a cover on Jun. 11,2018. It didn't fit. This was not made for our truck. I was also told it would protect golf ball size hail. What a laugh. I was very thin. I sent it back and they sent a second cover which also did not fit. About a foot and a half too short. I have requested a shipping label from them to send it back and they are not responding. They keep saying we will send it by email in about 20 min. I am not getting a shipping label from them and will probably not get a refund from them either. I have spoken to 10 different people and they all give me the same reply. Please do not do business with this company. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I also don't know how they are still in business. I guess because of all the scams they are pulling."
"Beware of this company. They claim that their covers will fit but will not stand behind their guarantee. I received two covers that were not for my car. I returned both requesting a refund. They sent me an E-mail that they were processing a credit to my PayPal account. They did n follow through. I am now in the process of a dispute through PayPal to get a refund. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!"
"Bought an auto cover and it was the wrong one upon delivery. Different from what the ad showed, and did not fit the car properly. Spoke with an agent... Sent it back, and asked for a refund to our credit card. NEVER happened!!! Could not get any cooperation! Decided to take our losses and rate this company for what it is.
Smart people should read reviews and take heed.
NOTE: This company is associated with "SelectCovers.com" also"
"Buyer beware !!! These people are running a SCAM...purchased the TOP of THE LINE cover for my 2014 Stingray Convertible Corvette. On website they described the cover as having the BEST PROTECTION , it "includes pockets for your side mirrors ( BS ) , it also includes a wire and lock to secure the cover properly ( ANOTHER BS). It took about 3 weeks to get to me , wrapped tightly in a vacuum sealed plastic bag.
I wrote them about the MISSING PARTS and was advised they would look into it and get back to me . To date I have heard NOTHING from these CON-ARTISTS . I will be asking my bank to retract the payment ( I paid over $140.00 to these SCUMBAGS ) and will be reporting their SCAM to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) for an investigation . Look for their website , they keep track of complaints by industry and seller so they have a very good tracking tool. Also file a complaint with your state's consumer protection agency . Lets put these SCUMBAGS out of business.. The CFPB doles out penalties in the millions of dollars , to the companies and the owners as well .
DON'T KEEP QUIET ABOUT THESE PEOPPLE ! THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS !! YOU'LL BE SORRY IF YOU PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM !!!!!"
"Purchased a Kimberly Clarke car cover with a 4 year warranty. Cover failed within 1 year, ripping and leaving my car covered in white residue. Company sent replacement which also failed within 8 months. Contacted company regarding a refund, because I now have no faith in their products. I was told I only get one replacement which voids the 4 year warranty. I informed them that both covers would still be under warranty since only two years has passed and each cover lasted less than 1 year before failing. Contacted the Better Business Bureau of NY. The company responded to my complaint by saying they sells thousands of car covers and they never had any complaints of cover failures; which as we can read on here is not true. I do believe they are selling cheap knockoffs, and not OEMs. If I were Kimberly Clarke I would investigate. They also are selling covers under the name of "Seal Skin" in which I believe is an attempt to defraud more customers."
"How they stay in business is truly a mystery. I really have to agree with all of the very worst reviews here related to service. They seem to be in the twilight zone when you are trying to get service. Shipping covers that don't fit, ignoring service requests, hanging up on you, ignoring emails and calls. It is a constant and they REALLY don't care that their service is so terrible or that you might write a bad review - AMAZING!
I lead an organization of more than 3000 car enthusiasts and certainly will not recommend this site/company to anyone!
I wish I had read these reviews before I ever made a purchase!"
"My order was never shipped. I contacted them by phone and was told a manager would contact me. Never heard from them. Again I contacted them by email and requested someone contact me. Never heard from them."
"AGAIN - worst customer service ever and the product is even worse. on my car under a car port and disintegrated and fell apart. I even upgraded to the better one.
DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!"
"I recently ordered a cover for my 2003 Chevy, crew cab, short bed. They shipped a cover made for a LONG bed. Since the product is sent shrink wrapped and very tightly bundled into a small plastic bag, it cannot be returned the way it was shipped unless you happen to have a shrink wrap machine at your house. It takes a very large box, a box I don't have. They are extremely hard to reach on the phone, almost impossible. When I finally got to them, they first said they'd just give me a full refund but did nothing. When I called back, they said to use a prepaid label to ship the large cover back (it's about 20' long, very bulky) but refused to ship me a box I could use to facilitate the return. So they want to be able to ship you something you didn't order, then try to force YOU to run around town to acquire and pay for a large box to return such item.
I strongly advise avoiding doing business with this company. I deeply regret buying from them. I will now contest this charge on my credit card. Based on my experience, credit card companies have little sympathy for companies like this that ship you the wrong item/size, etc."
"I ordered my cover and looked at reviews after placing my order. I was definitely nervous after reading some of these reviews, but my cover came last week and fit really well. I've owned several car covers because I don't have a garage and this is the nicest I've had. What really prompted me to write this was the experience I had with their customer service department, Chris. I ordered an extra accessory, and it was not in the box. I called and Chris explained that it was on the truck for delivery today, apologized for the separate shipment, and offered a discount on the new cover I was ordering. It is really rare to speak to someone who is that pleasant and knowledgeable. Thank you!!!"
"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I don't care if their product is perfect. What good is it unless they can get the order right? I ordered the first one in mid-September for my sister. Shipped her the wrong one. I called. They blamed me for error. Sent her out another one. Blamed me for ordering another wrong one. Shipped the third one to ME which I had to forward to her. In all shipments I was charged $15 to correct their mistake. Their phone number on the shipping label does is not a working number.
***BUYER BEWARE!*****"
"They are cheap and you get what you pay for. Just be advised that "custom fit" means it will fit a rectangle approximately the size of your car. There is no shaping of the cover to closely fit the shape of your car. I guess you could say this is a good thing, since with this cover on your car no one will ever guess whether it's a BMW or a tractor. A security feature!
Did not return because I needed it urgently, would definitely not purchase again."
"Well folks, here's how it goes. In fairness, the "4 weeks" will be up in a week. Even if they send me another, these 10-year warranty covers are cheap Chinese junk. RUN from this company and their crap products now!
6/9/15: Purchased a Superior Guard™ 5L Car Cover at the end of April last year and it is now disintegrating. Great water protection from the torrential downpours we get in Florida, but it can't hang with the sun. The inside white material leaves white powder all over my car when I remove it. One year? What's odd is car cover only gets put on for the weekend. Fit is way to baggy also, and water pools inside--no biggie--that's what you get with a non-custom cover. Warranty 10 years? This thing is shot!

Hi,
Just checking to see if you folks have made a decision on my warranty claim yet. Just returned from a week trip and the car cover has deteriorated at an accelerated rate. It is literally falling apart. I've got it bagged and ready for the trash, unless you want to look at it...
Regards,
Rick
