"I ordered a child costume from this site oct. 2011. The quality of the item was so poor it could not be worn. Parts of the costume attached with stickers?! Never order from this company! The quality is extremely low! I will return the item, and never order from Buycostumes.com again!!!!!"

"Ordered a few Halloween decorations mainly because I had a dollars off coupon for the site. The quality was about what I expected after reading customer reviews on the buycostumes.com site. With economy shipping, my order arrived in 6 days, faster than I expected. The order was well packed, and in good condition (not bad for a UPS shipment!)
Reading previous reviews, I would have been very cautious about ordering from this site, but I did so because, after my coupon, the items were very inexpensive. Now that I've ordered and received my shipment, I'd be more relaxed about ordering again."
"Ordered a couple of pieces I needed in other to make a full costume with my g/f.
The items were in-stock (or I wouldn't be able to order them). However, one of the pieces (the most important) was no longer in stock. Which means they were not telling the truth of their stock. So, I wish to cancel the rest of my shipment but they had already shipped without my permission even though my order has technically changed. I would have preferred to not have been lied to about items being in-stock and now just left with pieces and no complete costumes! I wouldn't have ordered anything had I known that piece isn't coming in!"
"We ordered "Gold Witch Deluxe Toddler", product ID: #31011. The costume did not fit at all. It said a size 3T-4T, but was more to the size of a small one year old. The hat was way too small (it just fit our 8 week old daughter), and was not as pictured. The one in the picture was of the type with a wire hoop in the brim such as a traditional "witch's" hat. The one we got was floppy material for the brim. The said after receiving the return we 'might' be refunded the cost of return shipping (which has to be parcel post insured with delivery confirmation) if they deem it to be not as advertised. We will have to wait and see. Customer service usually answered right away (although it was Sunday afternoon), and were polite. The automated system only has 3 options so it is not too frustrating."
"I had an excellent shopping experience with my recent order, which was the first time I've shopped with this company. Despite the fact they were shipping my order from Wisconsin to Canada, I received everything I ordered in excellent condition in six business days. I can't speak about their customer service because I never needed to contact them in any way, but with my order everything went absolutely perfect.
The previous reviews were over two years old so I thought I'd give them a chance, and I'm glad I did."

"OMG, HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! Ordered kids Halloween costumes on October 10th, website said items were in stock and to expect 3 day shipping. Put in a 'drop dead' shipping date of the 21st so my kids could wear their costumes to their school party. (It's now the 26th, no costumes, and they missed the party.) Called on the 17th and met busy signals, finally got through, representative wasn't helpful at all, asked to overnight items and was told they couldn't. Emailed twice, received automated replies. This company is awful, terrible, the worst, I would absolutely NEVER do business with them again."
