"I ordered a DEI Viper 791XV car alarm (with remote start) trough CBRStereo.com on June 29th 2006 for $189, left on vacation expecting the package to be with my roomate when I got back. To my surprise when I got back on July 8th 2006, there was no alarm waiting for me.
July 10th 2006 I emailed CBRStereo.com inquiring about my purchase and recieved a promt friendly reponse informing me the order would be upgraded to overnight, with a tracking number available, the next day at their expense.
July 14th 2006, again wondering where my order was, I asked CBRStereo what had happened. Their sales associate informed me again that it would be upgraded to overnight shipping and would be sent out.
By July 18th 2006 my order had still not been shipped and I cancelled it. Through a seperate vendor I ordered the alarm the same day and had it by July 21st 2006.
CBRStereo had great reviews and was shown as a trusted site on a couple of message boards I frequent, although there were comments about orders taking a long time to process. They did not bill my credit card. If you don't need your order quickly and can't find a better price anywhere else I would recommend CBRStereo.com, otherwise find another vendor."
"CBR Stereo had the best price on a Nakamichi amplifier I wanted that was listed in Froogle. I placed the order wary that the store had not yet been rated, but I figured it was worth it for the deal I was getting on the amp.
8 days after placing the order I e-mailed the company for a status on my order. They told me they were still checking to see if they had the amp in stock. I gave them one more day to ship out my order, then I cancelled the order.
The amp is still listed on CBR's website and you are allowed to add it to your shopping cart. Good luck getting it, though. At least they did not charge my credit card."
