"Bad customer support when needing to return an item. RMA turnaround was horrible. Very long delay in responding to my cust.support e-mails. Had to call them directly to finally get help."
"Excelent"
"Oops, they forgot to mention on their website that they didn't even have the CPU in stock. I had to wait 1 week before they shipped the order. I asked them to upgrade the shipping for free because they screwed up - no deal."
"Very fast shipment, ordered on the 20th and recieved it today (the 22nd). Low price. Nice job! One problem i have is that why did they have to cut open my retail packaging of my 1700+ thoroughbred processor when it can just be verified by looking through the clear plastic backing of the packaging. Whats up with that? Other than that, no other problems.
UPDATE:
Thinking little at first of the hand written 1700+ label over the original AMD label on the inside of the package, i decided to look at what was really underneath it. Much to my suprise, the amd label said 1800+. Were they really checking for the correct core by opening up my retail package? Probably not. You can verify it by just looking at the shape of the core. (Palomino is square, Thoroughbred is rectangular) So i don't think that is the real reson why they cut open my packaging. I don't know why they did this, but its not very trustful because they knowingly lied on their website and placed a 1700+ chip in an 1800+ Retail package. I don't know if my chip is an oem though, there seems to be no way to tell."
"I'm very satisfied in every way with this company."
"I recently ordered a AMD 2100xp cpu from cbwnet and I am quite happy with my purchase. I was a bit worried about cbwnet when I came here because of all the bad things people were saying. Such things included; rma'd products being sold as new, really poor customer service, wrong products being shiped, and not being replaced without ALOT of hassle. However I have to admit, I am quite pleased with my purchase. It arrived on time, once ups got ahold of it. It was well packaged/protected, and my product (AMD 2100xp cpu retail) was in its AMD sealed retail package. I have only have 2 problems with the company, niether of which were very serious. One was the fact that it took longer to proccess the order than almost every site i have ever ordered from, but i did say almost, and nobody is perfect. Second problem i had with them was the shipping price, and inability to choose what kind of shipping method i wanted. But to be completely honest, It would have cost me almost double if i had ordered the same thing from a different company with "Cheap shipping". I paid just shy of $100 for product + shipping. I couldn't find any other site that could beat that deal, in fact, cbwnet beat everybody else by about $50! I'm more than willing to look past my small problems I had with them and look foward to purchasing more items from them if their prices remain that low."
"I requested computer built to my specification 10/17/02. I selected a 2.4GHz micro and 850EMV2L with 512MB RAM. Fancy video cards and a good sound card.
So far it was smooth, the web site ordering is great and tech support that I called was very knowledgeable and responsive.
Was told 2-3 weeks for assembly and testing, received on 2nd week. System works great!"
"I ordered my Athlon 2400+ from these guys cause they had the best price. Had no problems with my order and it shipped when they said it would. I just preordered a 2700+ from em - we'll see what happens. So far so good though."
"I did not order from this company, but did place an order. They managed a fast and rather easy order cancel (reason: out of stock items allways out of stock as well as reading the horror stories from here). Thanks resellerratings.com, you saved my butt!"
"Oh my God. This place is absolutely terrible. I got my Athlon 2200+ from them. It came nearly a month later and was a bad chip so I had to RMA it. Their RMA department is never reachable through the option in their automated phone system, you have to bug an operator to connect you to someone. They also had their "techs" test my chip and send it back to me, saying it was good. It was decidedly crispy. After consulting Asus(maker of my mobo) and AMD they finally agreed to take it again and RMA it. Again. It took them a week to "receive" the CPU after they actually signed for it from FedEx. I finally got fed up and demanded a refund from them. I'm not even sure if I actually got my money back yet. We'll find out when the next credit card bill comes...
