"DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! I was misled, decieved, had high pressure sales tactics used on me and I ended up paying more than I wanted to because I was forced to upgrade to the US model, even though I specifically asked if the price was for a US model or grey market. I was told it was US model with US warranty and was called at work to upgrade. I have the email to prove they downright lied about the camera being the US model. Also, on their website in the customer service section it states that any international models will be marked as such and since mine was not, I assumed it would not be. Just in case, I did send an additional email to verify and they told me it was not an international model. The shipping charge was outrageous considering I live only about 300 miles from NYC. WATCH YOUR BACK WHEN DEALING WITH THIS PEOPLE, I KNOW I WILL NEVER EVER BUY SOMETHING FROM THEM AGAIN. FOR MY OTHER RATING OF THIS COMPANY VISIT BIZRATE.COM. YOU WILL SEE THAT THEY DONT HAVE ONE SINGLE GOOD REVIEW."

"I ordered on-line 12-16-03 a ZR70 MC digital camera from CCI.
$369.99 +$45.15 shipping (good price - 3 day shipping to get before Xmas)
On 12-21-03 I got the first call (they must confirm before shipping). He talked me into an extra 4 hr battery $149.
On 12-22-03 second call to confirm ... I'm confused & concerned it won’t arrive in time.
Camera shows up 12-24-03, in time but with $95.00 shipping & a 2 hr battery (like comes with camera).
Call & talk to customer service (NON 800# only!) wants to send a lens filter and not the battery ordered.
I have to send the wrong battery back before he will ship right one.
on 1-12-04 call to see when I will get the battery. Told it was shipped last Wednesday. I now complain about the large shipping charge I got due to their policies. He tells me he will send a lens filter ... I agree. 2 days later I get both in the same box!

"This company is a rip off. They quote you a price on their web site and after you place an order they call you back trying to sell you extras that you do not need. When you refuse I was told that all the instructions came in Japanese and if I wanted the American version I had to pay aprox 1/3 more than the quoted price. When the merchandise arrived instead of the camera I ordered they try to squize one of inferior quality with the hope I was not going to notice it.
My recommendation: DO NOT BUY FROM CIC CameraCity.

"Ipurchased an Olympus C5050Z digital camera & an Olympus 5 hour battery pack. Received items 230 December 2002. Timely delivery. The camera appears to be ok and is new with no known problems. Now the horror - the 5 hour $129.00 Olympus battery pack turned out to be an intelliget microprossor controlled rapid speed battery charger made in China labeled Digipak & having n Olypus connection what so ever! The identical unit can be purchased on the onlybatteries.co site for $32.00. This is a first class case of fraud! CCI Camera City does not have any e-mail addresses on their URL & when I called the first time they gave me an e-mail for another
Camera City in Virginia who answered & sid that they field a lot of e-mail complaints from them but that they are not associated. I fianaly found someone to give me the ****@**** e-mail address. I forwrded the complaint to them & a ronnie shy sent an e-mail that said he would give me a quality camera bag for the mis communication! I told them that I didn't have use for the quality camera bag but would accept an $87.00 XD 128mb card to even things up. They owe me right at $100.00. They shipped the $11.89 camera bag after I told them no & offered me a 64 mb XD card. I told them no & then they told me to return everything if I didn't like the deal! After many e-mails I filed a complaint with the IFCC - http://www.ifccfbi.gov Fortunately I read the resellers review before sending anything back. I saved a lot of stress & frustration. i am now waiting for the appropriate law enforcement agency to contact me so that I can turn over all the files to them.

"I made a big mistake. I should have checked this website about reseller rating in regards to CCI Camera City

They are really bad. When I call to clear up the issue, they just hang up. Tried several time but they always hang up.
At the end, I got busy tone.

I order the Canon S45 on-line on Dec 9, 2002.
I got the email confirmation of sale with order number 11022.
When I went home, I got a call from one of the salesman to confirm the order.
Guess what, he said that the price
$444.99 is only for the camera. No battery charger and memory card.
I thought I did check on the Canon company site that the new product comes with it. I was about to cancel the order but he told me that I can get the camera + camera kit (battery and memory card) + shipping for $540.30.
I didn't get a chance to check more on the internet. I thought that should be okay. So I did ordered.

On Dec 19, 2002, I received my order.
Here is the complaint about the product:
1) The box is nicely package in another box, but the plastic wrap on the cannon box is gone. It's
basically an open box.
So much for their FAQ stating that
their item are NEW.

2) The manual is a copied version.
NOT AN ORIGINAL. POORLY DONE.

3) The information on the cannon box was in JAPANESE language.
I guess they bought cheaper in Japan and sell it in the US.
When I first start the camera, everything is in JAPAN.
After going through the COPIED manual, I found that I can change it to ENGLISH.

3) I called their sales number at
1-***-***-**** to just test if I am being rip-off.
I asked "Does your camera Canon S-45 comes with the
camera kit?"
He said "YES"
I then asked "How much is the camera cost?"
He said "$499"
When I tried to explain about my situation.
He just HANGED UP.

With this comment, I hope that other people will not make the same mistake that I did.

"Purchasing experience was less than steller.

Salesman does his best to talk you into more than what you need and was very abbrupt when speaking to and gives you as short an answer as possible. The free tripod that came with the camera is a 4 inch tall POS. Shipping is a WHOPPING 8% of your total. So my shipping was $80 for a 5 pound package!!!

You have to call in the order to make sure you get the US version of the camera you are wanting. Otherwise, you take the chance in getting a gray market camera with no US warranty.

You have to call long distance to get customer service. The 800 number is only for sales. I am paying $80 for shipping and handling and then I have to pay for the phone call.

Plus they forgot the free film that was supposed to come with it, but they said they would send me two rolls because the "forgot".

The camera was well packed and came in perfect condition, but my overall experience when spending $1000 on a camera was less than I expected.
