"This company sucks! Wanted to order the Nikon D50. got an email confirmation for an overnight delivery. Nothing came. Called company, got put on hold 5 times, call dropped, called back put on hold again 3 times. Tried Bait and switch.

"I ordered the Sony DSC-H1 camera from them. I was contacted by phone a week later with a "bait and switch" deal to upgrade to a "much better" camera for about $200 more! The sales associate spoke broken English, there was extreme noise in the background and he chastised me for not returning a message from the day before (my machine was broken.) I canceled my order!"

"Pressured me into purchasing products I didn't need such a high priced 1 Gigabyte memory card for $200, an extended warranty for $300, and switched out a premium product with a generic one. Product had already been opened before shipping, manuals were in Japanese, accessories tossed into box, unwrapped. Gave me a Hassle when I called for a return authorization, offered me "valuable" products to prevent me from the return, has yet to credit my card even after receiving return. Stay Away!"

"I tried to place an order and ask a couple questions. the "salesman" was indignant that I did not buy the upselling he was attempting and HUNG UP on me. In a half century this has never happened to me.

This gives online businesses a bad name and is most insulting and misleading to give a price and not hold to it

"I feaked out reading all the negative reviews AFTER I bought my Canon Digital Rebel XT BUT I am more than pleased with my purchase. I needed it the next day and I got it just as requested. I never got an email to confirm as stated in some people's reviews which would have been a problem since it was Saturday and the store was closed. I got exactly what I ordered and love the camera. Kevin was fabulous and actually talked me into a less expensive more "user friendly" camera and I am so thankful!!! It's a dream camera and he was so right. I will definitely order from this company again. A perfect transaction!"

"Ohh no! I wish I found this site before placing my order. My experience so far is the exact same. I'll have to wait and see when I do get my order and if it is everything I ordered.

So as the ususal experience I ordered a camera online: a rebel xt with a package deal and I get the next day air shipping (I have an instant gradification complex). Well the next day when I think I should be getting my camera I get an email to call them and comfirm the order. That's not very next day to me but ohh well I call and get the upsell. This actually worked out for me becuase I wanted two lenses instead of one so for the upsell I was not too concearned though I did take notice that was the intent of the email to confirm. Oh well as long as I get my order the next day and it is every think I need I am ok. (or as it may turn out I will be the sucker :( )

So the next day my order is not here and I have no email confirm that my order was changed but my card is changed allready! I start to worry a bit now, I just spent 1400 buck, my card is changed and I have no invoice. I sent a email reply and got nothing back. I call and am xferred around and finally get someone to email me an invoice. I reply back to get the tracking number and when I punch it in the UPS website it is invalid (and is at the time I am writing this).

I call them to confirm the tracking number, they said it was sent today and will arrive tomorrow. Still the tracking number does not work. It is a valid number but there is no info avail for it yet. Seems my package should be scanned and in transit if it is to arrive tomorrow.

So I'll wait to tomorrow and verify I get my package.

I have to say that I dealt with MAX and it was not entirely unpleasent. I was suckered into the upsell and when I refused polarized lenses at first he lowered the price. Who knows I am afraid to do research and find out I still overpaid but who knows.

I'll also say that I called CS a couple times now and the can go bite my ass.


Right now I just want my camera and I want it to work. Will keep you updated!

"Ordering from this store is a complete headache! I do not recommend ordering anything from these people! This company has two names TCS camera and CCI (camera city). The customer service is horrible! They are very rude and give you the wrong information trying to sell you more crap!

I orginally placed an order for a Nikon 70s body (invoice 3663). I then received an email saying to contact them:

"Please call Max @ 1718-627-2289 ext 216 or ***-***-**** ext 216 to confirm your order.
Thank You,
TCS Camera"

I initially called the 1-800 number and was directed to someone who was very rude and told me that I should call customer service. He then gave me the number for an insurance company. Not customer service.

I then called the 718 number and got hold Max. He was questioning me why I called him. I told him that I was just responding to an email. He seemed very annoyed by the fact I was calling him. It seems like they have no idea how their own company even works. If they are going to send an email out telling customers to confirm their order, the customer service reps should be aware!

I initially just had a question regarding what came with the camera but due to the attitude of Max I decided to cancel my order.

I looked on the internet again and placed an order with CCI camera for the Nikon D70s body. I then received another email:

"Please call Max @ 1718-627-5600 ext 216 or ***-***-**** ext 216 to confirm your order.
Thank You,
CCI Camera"

After receiving this email I was already discouraged. I called Max once again and he seemed even more annoyed. Yet again he had know idea why I would be calling him. He told me that my order was canceled. I asked why since I never cancelled this order (3801). I told him I originally cancelled my order (3663) through TCI camera the week before. He then proceeded to tell me that I was playing games with them by ordering camera's and canceling orders. I told him that I didn't cancel my new order and wanted to proceed with it.

Max then tried to tell me that the Nikon camera won't take third party memory cards and wouldn't let me simply order the D70s body. He then told me to do my research and they aren't there to walk me through things. What the hell is customer service for then?

After dealing with his attitude for 5 minutes I decided to cancel my order again. I do not want to support a company that has such terrible customer service and tells you lies.

Buyers beware! Do not order from TCI camera or CCI camera!

"After going through the same thing everyone else seems to have done (bait and switch) I called back and spoke to a manager "Peter". He tried the same thing, but did finally sell me what I had asked for originally. He was actually petty nice, but still tried to sell me stuff I didn't want. I thought everything was good till I discovered the charge on my bill was 250.00 dolars more than the purchase price. I called to inquie why, I was told the postage is 6% of the purchase price, something I didn't think to ask during all the bickering over what I wanted. So if you're buying expensive equipment you may want to figure in 6% for shipping when ordering your equipment. "

"Total dissastifaction with this vendor! If prices appear too good to be true, it is because they are. "I ordered a Sony DSC-N1 for a very reasonable price after checking it out on their website. I was then Emailed by CCI stating I needed to call them to verify the order. I called and verified my credit card information, then was asked if I wanted to purchase a battery and charger for the camera. I was told it did not include a battery or charger. I told the gentleman I would purchase one at Circuit City using gift cards I had received at Christmas and was informed that it would cost me a lot more elsewhere. Then he asked me if I needed a memory chip. I told him I had one. I then was asked if I wanted to purchase a USA warranty. I was told the camera was a foreign model and did not include a USA warranty. I said that wasn't noted in the ad for the camera on their webpage. He told me it was stated. I told him I would just cancel the order and he said fine. I ten checked the website again and the only place it mentioned the foreign warranty was on the page regarding returns where it stated: "Some items carry international warranty,USA warranty may vary in cost." In my opinion, this company is a total fraud and should be prohibited from doing business in the United States.

"This place is a real load of crap. Do not buy from them. Total rip-off. If you are up for a laugh then call and talk to one of the sales people, it is freaking funny how rude and obnoxious they are. It is the same with all these budget camera stores in New York..They are so rude it is hilarious. I got hung up on cussed at and called an idiot. At first thought it was some sort of joke, but no. I tried to buy a Canon 20D at the price on their site of $749, something like that. The guy not only tried to sell me a non us camera, but also tried to sell me numerous crap lens' and a warranty for an extra $1199.00 I said what?? Forget it. You can buy the camera for that price, but more than likely you will just get the camera, a Korean version with zero extras, not battery no nothing. Oh yea, they also try to sell you a 300 dollar 512mb card which is absolute crap and made by a company I have never heard of, something like electrictech memory. Stick with B and H photo, stay away from these full of crap New York cheap camera stores, I have seen many and they are all garbage."
