"Very satisfied. Only dissatisfaction was in the preK class filling with no room for our age-eligible daughter who had attended the school for 4 years"
"Only minor complaint is communication- for instance, the asst teacher in my daughter’s classroom changed and we weren’t notified. This lack of communication seems to be an intermittent problem, but other than that everything is great and we’re very happy with our decision to stay with the center after the transition."
"The transition was tough at first but everything is starting to settle down and is working well. I enjoy all of the teachers and supporting staff. My child also loves his teachers and has learned so much int he 9 months he's been attending."
"Like the school and people, not sure the kids are prepared for kindergarten."
"Our child's school is filled with caring teachers who are wonderful educators and care-givers. They are active partners in our child's growth and give him endless opportunities to learn social, educational, and physical skills. He loves his teachers and they treat him with kindness, thoughtfulness, and compassion. They provide a properly disciplined, fun, and safe environment. As a corporation, Children's Courtyard purchasing the school has been a mixed bag. I like the new app for communication. I am very concerned that the company is not learning from what this school does fantastically and is merely trying to enact a cookie cutter set of policies that are prioritized from a what's our liability standpoint and not a what's best for children standpoint. I can't stress enough that it is the specific people who work and teach at our school that we trust with our son, and not the entity of Children's Courtyard. I hope that as a company, the teachers are being properly prioritized as your most meaningful resource and the reason parents choose to entrust their children with the school."
"The school is great but the snack and lunch change is not going well most kids don't eat the food and my son is always hungry when I pick him up. I'm all about healthy food but it should be something more in reason for little kids"
"I am excited about the changes being made through Children's Courtyard. I'm still not sure who the director is. I believe a new director (Phoenix) was named and she seems to do a great job, she comes across very professional and has been very helpful with any questions. However, it seems like the old director is still running the show. I haven't taken my concerns regarding the school age room to anyone unit this survey simply because I just didn't know who I need to go to."
"Overall, we have had a great experience, but there have been some significant struggles since the transition. The lunch and snack menu, loss of some staff, rumors of cost increases, and demeanor of some staff have left us concerned that this may not be the best place for us."
"The pre k class always has a bucket of scissors on the floor or a short chair in the front of the room which is a hazard. Most else is good."
"I have thought the school is outstanding at every level except one. We found the lead teacher in the infant room cold and uninviting. She was not warm and welcoming to us or our child. I feel this is a very poor first impression of the school and would not recommend anyone send their child to the school until their child is old enough to avoid having their child cared for by this individual."
"At drop off it’s small talk with teachers and at pick up it’s a good bye. I would love to have more interaction, what activities they are participating in or what meals are served. If they have a theme for the week for learning purposes. I miss out everyday and would like to know what her day is filled with other than snacks, lunch and naps."
"My 4 year old is likely to enter kindergarten next year. I was disappointed that as legacy members of the school, she is not in the pre-k curriculum because the class is full. I called the school and inquired on the difference between the preschool and pre-k curriculum because I'm concerned whether she will be ready for kindergarten. The person who answered the phone did not seem 100% confident in her answer to me and I still worry about my child's preparation for next year. Outside of that concern, I want to make clear I think the instructors are OUTSTANDING. Miss Becky and Miss Vicki are the reasons we enrolled in the first place and we have yet to regret that decision (with the one exception being the pre-k scenario just described)"
"I adore this school, but my son has been having extreme difficulties with the new lunch and snack choices. They aren't foods he eats, and as a result, he frequently doesn't eat enough at school during the day. He almost always comes home hungry."
