"This will be our last year at Courtyard, since our son is aging out. We moved him into Courtyard over a summer break, and have never looked back. The staff at this school (Coppell, TX) is amazing, and I have never worried about my son in their care. I can't say enough good things about them."
"I like a few teachers, but it seems the more tenured teachers are less accountable for their actions and let important issues slip through the cracks as if it’s not a big deal-gossip is unnecessary and unacceptable. Cleanliness is not important it seems, from carpets to changing tables and high chairs, they need to be cleaned not just barely wiped down. The toys are not clean either, some smell like mildew or just sour. I’ve had to change out my own child’s crib sheet because it was visibly soiled and just not changed. The kids will have food/spitup/dirt all over their clothes and will still have the same outfit on all day"
"We have loved the school mainly because of the tenure of the loving staff. However, recently Management decided to change the wonderful Director of 14 years. I’m trying to give the new Director a chance, but she hasn’t even introduced herself after weeks and I’m not sure who she is. We’ve been customers for 6 years and 3 children. Because of this poor decision by Management we are looking at other schools."
"Everything is good... trying to learn new things..keep moving"
"This experience hasn’t been all bad, but one typically ruins it for others. I just wish the issues that are brought up would actually be addressed and corrected."
"Since COVID the quality of the care and education dropped drastically. The price / value equation does not make sense anymore. The quality of the teachers is far below acceptable levels. Some teachers are good, but most of them are not."
"we love the Director and Miss Sandya, both are great in their roles."
"It's been up and down, honestly. Timothy was awesome and really cared about my child. The next after school teacher just didn't seem to be doing a good job. I kept hearing negative experiences. My child was hangry every single day at pickup time. Once the new teachers took over, things improved right away. It seems much more positive although I am not seeing some of the activities Timothy originally described when I enrolled my child (STEAM challenges come to mind). The structure is there and my child's loves the choices from the different stations, but I would like to see more enrichment and directed activities take place."
"Overall, we have had a positive experience at this school. My older child has made friends with other children as well as the teachers. The education provided at each stage is impressive. I’m very happy with my child’s readiness for kindergarten. There are quality teachers/staff that care for the children. My toddler rarely gets upset to be left because she feels safe and happy to be there. Recently, I’ve seen a change in the consistency of staff/teachers. My younger child goes back and forth between rooms, teachers and routines. My older child has had 3 or more teachers this year. The lack of consistency has been a growing concern. It seems like the focus is on student/teacher ratios instead of providing a consistent environment and teacher for the children. I hope to see that improve."
"My son seemed happier last school year at CC than this one. It's really hard to know much with limited access to the school due to understandable Covid precautions and not being the primary pickup person. I'm hoping, once the weather cools off, he can enjoy more outdoor time which should help. Everyone is always nice and pleasant at pickup but I have no idea who is who in terms of teachers, directors etc. I don't hear any anecdotal or other information specific to my child on the occasions I do pick him up. We are generally okay with the school day to day but our intention in switching from the YMCA program was to give him more engaging experiences than we were seeing there and I'm not sure that is happening. It very well might be, but I am not seeing/hearing about it."
"Both of my children love it!"
"I can't say enough good things about this school. They have had such a positive affect on helping to raise my child. They genuinely care for each child and the parent (s). My children have learned not only educational items but also social abilities. My son has for sure been challenging for teachers but they have stuck with him and I can't not believe the amazing little guy he has become."
"The school provides a safe and adequate space for my child. However, I do check on the live stream, and depending upon the teacher in my classroom will keep it on during my work day as each of the teachers interacts with the kids, and my child differently."
"Loving, caring teachers! I never have to worry about my child or his safety. He looks forward to going to school!"
"In general, we have had a positive experience. However, my son tells me that his teacher tells him that Santa is going to put him on the naughty list and not give him presents because he isn't following directions. That is absolutely wrong and not the correct way to motivate a child."
"I've had a pretty great experience i love the teachers and the director is great. I feel like I can speak freely with each and every teacher and not worried about the daycare scary stories you hear"
