"Here I need to mention the exceptions. I have based my answers in the experience of one of my children. My 2yo attending CCY has a loving and very professional teacher, Miss Jamie. Our son feels loved and the structure given is outstanding. We are very happy with Miss Jamie and her dedication and nurturing of our youngest son. In the case of our oldest son who is 5, we received a complaint about his behavior. After explaining that he is diagnosed as profoundly gifted and this means that he poses challenges when the environment is not adjusted to him (hypersensitivity mainly) this was taken as an offense by the teacher. I received a call where the teacher expelled my son from the classroom stating the he could not be controlled I had to pick him up at the directors office. This is a child that ha been followed by psychologists since the age of two, well documented and identified as profoundly gifted. It is unacceptable that the individual needs of a highly gifted child are not met because the teacher CHOOSES to discriminate the child. Furthermore, my son suffered a sexual assault by another child, IN THE CLASSROOM bathroom, during class time. We have taken this to the director but nothing happened. We are considering legal action against CCY due to the lack of response to the problem and lack of consequences to the teacher responsible. In parallel to this we will be going to the media with this if there are no consequences to the responsible persons for this incident."

"Teachers are very caring and warm toward children and parents. At times there seems to be a lack of structure and discipline in the classroom."

"We love this school. The teachers are great and personable and when a teacher seems stressed or I am not sure I'm completely comfortable with them, they have been moved before I have asked the administration about it. I would like for there to be more teachers for the 2-3 year olds, but it's not a situation that makes me consider pulling my child out."
"This school is absolutely amazing!! Besides the convenient location of it being close to our home and children's school, words cannot describe the staff. They take pride in the work they do each day. The director (Gerri) is phenomenal as well, she ensures that everything runs smoothly and addresses any concerns you may have very quickly. The staff keeps you engaged with what's going on daily. My children are now in regular school which offers an after school program at a much lower rate, however, since the staff is so good at this location and we were satisfied when they were there full time, we decided to keep them in the after school program. Great job CCY Grapevine!"
"Schoolage building has excellent staff and manager always greets me and engages in conversation with me. As does the staff on the big floor area."
"I don't think my child is learning anything. She only talks about her experience on the playground and nothing else"
"Top dollar school for average care"
"Generally good. But communication, consistency, and turnover are all concerns."
"I feel more time and energy needs to be placed on writing. It appears that my child was provided more assistance with this in the EPS rooms than she is now. Her previous teacher worked with children to learn how to write their names, now it seems their teacher gives them sheets but doesn't really work with them on it, as writing isn't as good as it used to be. This seems backwards to me as their are fewer students in the class now and they are needing to start preparing for Pre-K and Kindergarten. It is not uncommon for their to be an activity planned, but that the activity does not take place. I have been told in the past it was because they didn't have the supplies for the activity. If something is scheduled then there should not be a lack of supplies for it. Communication can also be improved. We are often notified at the last minute, including a time where we were notified via Remind at 7/8pm the night before for something that required planning. At this point families are at home and getting children ready for bed."
"We really like the school and teachers and have had a good experience so far. There are a few things we wished were done differently, for example, we wish they would fill out the forms to tell us what our child did that day. He can't talk yet and we can't see him all day and it would be nice to know a story everyday of something he did or liked."
"My husband and I loved the school! The classrooms were appealing to my children. The facilities smelled fresh and clean. The kids were very excited with the fish tank in the entry way. The prices are high but you get what you pay for in the area. We have toured other child care centers that are cheaper and it really shows! So excited to enroll out children!!"
"I love CCY. I'm very happy we chose this school for my son. The staff is friendly, the teachers are great with the kids and it's a great place to trust with my child's early learning. Thank you."
"Great experience so far. Love that diapers and wipes are provided so we do not have to constantly bring them; makes the price worth it. Love that there is a curriculum and daily activities, diaper changes and naps are logged so I know what my child did that day. Teachers are very friendly and always give me a warm and friendly welcome and goodbye. So glad Children's Courtyard was recommended to me and I will continue to recommendations to my friends and family."
