"I've been buying blank CDs (their house brand), jewel cases, and jewel case inserts from CDROM2GO for years. They have always worked fine. On the few occasions when the product I ordered was out of stock they kept me updated with arrival estimates."
"Piece of crap company won't stand by their piece of crap product. I very carefully researched what I needed and I was very clear that I needed a maximum 20mm outside thickness (to meet postal restrictions). Their measurements along with their assurances meant it would be no more than 19.55mm. I ordered 1000 pcs and they arrived and are 22mm. They are useless to me. On top of that, a major feature to me was the self-adhesive, which is SO WEAK it won't stay closed under its own spring tension... just pops open. Piece of garbage even if I could use them. Sure they said I could send them back, but their insane shipping charges now make sense... they won't refund the ship charge plus I have to pay to ship it back, meaning it is literally cheaper for me to burn them. All they did was laugh and said I should have bought less. Some business... wow."
"Mr. Richard Moore went above and beyond to help me out.
Its great to see that their's people out their that really care about their customers!!!!"
"Diabolical product, and NO customer service. I am surprised that they are still trading.
Some of their generic, inkjet printable disks (specifically the USDM Pro Select CDR Silver Inkjet Hub Printable 52X) are dreadful. They have such a thick coating on the print side that slot-loaded players (such as are in most cars and the Bose Wave) not only fail to play the disks, but may need expensive professional service to have these awful disks removed. Their claims of "The best compatibility with writers and players" are ridiculous. Furthermore, CDROM2GO do not answer emails or bother to get back in touch when complaints are raised with them about product. Go to supermediastore.com and buy Taiyo Yuden. OK it's not a silver/silver disk but in my experience it's 100% reliable and does not destroy players. I'll not be returning to CDROM2GO/USDM.
You'll note below that the vendor replied. It's unsurprising what was written. Same old schpiel. I crafted a STACK of emails, even had addressed one personally to Mr Mance who wrote this response. No response to calls either.
Please don't waste your time, buyer. Go elsewhere."
"Absolutely terrible company. I placed an order for a DVD overwrapper (alternative to shrinkwrap). I got a call from RICHARD MOORE which was very helpful, making sure I wanted two different sizes of plastic sheets for the wrapper that I ordered. Two business days later (why hasn't it shipped???) I got a message on my VM from someone else saying the product was not only out of stock but they wanted to charge me more money to ship to Hawaii. This is typical although it doesn't really excuse that their shopping cart should have calculated this, or that Richard should have said something when we first spoke. They wanted a total of $133 for shipping, and Richard said they get an amazing UPS discount. I went to my UPS account and was quoted a price of $120 for the same service with no discount. Plus, they were offering free continental-USA shipping, which I calculated would have cost them up to $32 depending where you live. I confronted Richard about this, and he was pretty rude, saying simply that shipping was $133, take it or leave it. I told them to cancel the order. It wasn't so much the money, but the fact they were so committed to not being reasonable. If they were so inflexible and borderline deceitful during the sales process, I can't imagine what post sales support would be like."
"CDROM2GO were the only company that had what I wanted, so I ignored the mixed reviews and ordered. My order arrived promptly, and it was just what I expected. I can't report on their customer service because my order was handled perfectly."
"I didn't experience any of the problems described by the previous reviewer. I placed my order online, received a confirmation e-mail moments later, and received my packages five calendar days later. Everything went exactly as it should. Professional transaction and I will use them again next time I need CD mailers and sleeves. Note: I did NOT order any media so that may be why my transaction went smooth and the other guy's didn't. Don't know. What I DO know is that I am very satisfied with MY experience with cdrom2go.com."
"I have been using CDrom2go for nearly 5 years without any issues at all. In Dec 04 I purchased 100 dvd's. They were shipped in four separate packs of 25 each. The last pack I opened was defective and would not play in various player we have in our office. I called my salesman who advised me to request an RMA from customer service. When I requested the RMA the Customer service department (Denise & LaDonna) treated me as if I were some kind of low life. They simply refused to exchange the last pack of dvd's for new ones. If a company can't back there product I will not use them. My advise to you is to try one of the other great media companies out there."
