"I promise my review is not hyperbole. Without a doubt, this company is the most incompetent online business I've ever encountered. I honestly can't understand how this merchant is still in business.
I ordered a CD from this company because it was one of the few online vendors that listed it as "in stock." I checked Reseller Ratings immediately and saw CD Gospel wasn't listed, which I figured was a good sign. I also, mistakenly, assumed that since this company claimed religious affiliation that it would do its best to treat its customers according to the Golden Rule. I was sadly mistaken.
After I placed the order, I promptly received a receipt via e-mail as well as an order number. I also received a URL that would allow me to check the status of my order. This link worked for only a couple of days, and then it began redirecting to the home page.
After several days of not receiving my order, my wife checked up on it. The main phone number, she discovered, went directly to voice mail--that is, for the employees to check their own voice mail. She finally got a hold of someone, and that person couldn't locate the order but promised to call back. That return call never happened.
I won't bore you with the remaining intricate details. But we alternated between not reaching anyone because voice mail boxes were full and finally reaching someone only to have the person say he would check into the situation and then call back but never would. During the last conversation, he said the CD had shipped and we should receive it in a few days. It never arrived.
Unfortunately, I didn't discover until after ordering that this company has a bad reputation for treating customers this way. (I tend to check Reseller Ratings and not other ratings sites.) For a religious-based outfit, this company is seriously teetering on breaking two rules in God's top-ten list. This company fibbed about shipping the order but was perfectly happy to keep my money. In the end, I had to have my credit card company reverse the charges.
If you're ever interested in ordering a CD and actually receiving it, or if you appreciate competent customer service, do not order from CD Gospel."
