"Received an email promoting free shipping. Placed an order and when confirmation was sent it showed that the shipping was deducted then added back on the order. Less than honest."
"I placed an order for a tankless water heater and the parts that were required to install it, totaling $1300 or so. I entered my shipping address and my billing address, my cc number and CVW code. I received an email stating that I needed to "verify" my order, and that my order had been "put on hold"
When I called to "verify" my order, I repeated all of the information that I had entered to your operator. Since I repeated what I had already entered, I'm not sure what "verification" this accomplished.
What it did do was make me realize that I'd like to deal with a company that actually wanted to make the sale; and I canceled my order and intend at this point to purchase an equivalent tankless water heater through amazon.com. They'll also give me free shipping (love amazon prime) and they will accept my order without "verification", which appears to just be a way to waste time and delay the shipment.

"Placed two orders recently - a dewalt two tool combo and two hitachi nailers. Prices were competitive even before July 4th savings. Shipping were via FedEx and arrived within 3 days. Products are exactly as described. I would definitely buy from them again."
"I ordered a Dewalt air compressor 1.8hp 4.5 gal from CPO outlet (Reconditioned) ya right!!!!! The ordering process was great, unit arrived in 3 days (also great). Upon opening box and starting unit up found that the regulator was broken (unit will not hold air) The condition of the compressor is terrible. Not to mention AGAIN the unit is broken!!!!, the attempt at painting the unit was disgraceful. Does this company really want our buiness?? I just started a costom home building buisness, so I am looking for a company to provide quaility tools at a reasonable price. "After purchasing over $150,000 in toold from CPO in the past 4-years, we have had to call it quits. Every tool we receive is either, filthy,or FEDEX has destroyed it. Received another air compressor today that was was left by FEDEX on our frieght dock with no one there,and setting out in the hurricane driven rain. Opened the box, complete manifild was busted off the unit, and oil was everywhere. Called and spoke with one of the rudest customer service rep's I have ever spoken with, who told me to take it to FEDEX's Birmingham depot, which is 45-miles away, and I told her that was'nt going to happen,she then got very rude and stated it would be friday before they pick it up. I told her, no problem, I have filed a claim with Paypal,taken pictures,and notified you. If it is here when FEDEX comes for it friday, wonderful, if not, so sorry. Treat me with respect, I will return it. There is a better source for reconditioned tools-BIGSKYTOOLS.COM. They "want" your business. A week later I had to track down CPO through Buy.com to find out that the mower was actually out of stock with no firm ship date. Not only did NO ONE at CPO bother to email or contact me to this fact, they were no help at all with finding a solution other than to say sometimes they just get too many order through many resellers LAME LAME LAME. This borders on deceptive practices taking orders, indicating in-stock status, then tying up the consumer’s funds on the expectation that the product is in route without indicating otherwise!
TO CPO PRES ROB TOLLESON: You are in the wrong business if you call yourselves a fulfillment operation and you can't even track your own inventory and follow up with your resellers and customers in a timely manner. NEVER AGAIN

"I bought two Black and Decker electric screwdrivers from these people, from an ebay auction. This was a discontinued item and these characters were the only ones who had it at a decent price, both on their website and on ebay. I chose to buy through ebay because of their mediocre ratings on this site.
The items were shipped quickly as advertised and there were no problems with the order.
After the order had shipped it became obvious that my email address, as reported to them by ebay and Paypal, had been entered on their email spam list.
I now receive about 3 spam emails per week from these losers. I never requested to be put on their mailing list. I have clicked on the "unsubscribe" link on their emails about 10 times now over 6 weeks. Each time, the webpage responds saying that I have been "unsubscribed," but the spam emails continue.
I have complained to ebay and they are looking into it.
If you do buy anything from these losers be sure to use a disposable spam-catching email address, as they will add you to their spam list and you will probably never succeed in getting off of it."

"I ordered a Hunter ceiling fan on 10/26/09 and selected three day guarantee shipping at an extra cost. I received an email and phone call that same day indicating that the item was backordered but would be available on 10/28 and they would wave the shipping charges for the 3 day shipping. I never received any further shipping information. I made several phone calls after the 28th to get the status on my order. Each time I was told it was shipping directly from the Hunter wharehouse and would ship within a couple of days. I was charged for the item on 11/4, yet the online status still showed as "not shipped". On 11/16 after still not receiving the item I called and insisted on a status. The customer support rep fiinally called the wharehouse and found that the item had shipped and gave me a tracking number. The item was shipped on 11/13 and scheduled for delivery on 11/18. This was not the three day shipping that I originally selected or that I was told would be provided free of charge due to the backorder. Overall this was not a good online shopping experience."
