I ordered my Pioneer 104 DVD drive from them over one month ago - received a drive that was DOA - sent it back and it has been in their hands for over one week as of July 9, 2002. I had been assured verbally that my replacement went out immediately. I am appalled to find that it still has not shipped to me. This company is disorganized and their primary support person, Walter, (referenced in another highly negative commentary on this website), has not made one single thing come true that he has promised. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE - BAD COMPANY - IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG YOU WILL REGRET THE DAY YOU PURCHASED ANYTHING FROM CALIFORNIA DRIVES!"

Monday afternoon asking tracking number when item was shipped. I received an email saying it would be shipped within 2 days.
I sent another email Wednesday, and received UPS tracking number. I received the drive Thursday.

"I ordered and returned unopened a dvd player. I decided I was not technologically ready for this item .I immediately called the company and spoke to Walter. I explained why I refused delivery, and he said he would credit my account minus the shipping charges. That never happened. I then called 3 weeks later, and after a very troublesome wait, Walter got on and took all my credit card info again and said he would issue the credit and call me back in 10 minutes. He didn't. In fact he reinvoiced me for another purchase of the same item! When I cllaed to complain, he told me he was "...doing me a favor..." by not charging me a 15% restocking fee. He failed to cancel this 2nd invoice, and now I have had to call my cc company. They will do a whole investigation, and I'm sure I'll be vindicated. But in the meanwhile, I cannot use the card. I distrust this man so much that I'm going to cancel my card number so he cant levy other spurious charges. Please be careful if you deal with him. He is not to be trusted!"
