Arrogant Customer Service

"I have been a Camden Grey customer for many years. I recently complained (this is the first time I've had contact with them) to Camden Grey about signature required by Fed Ex to leave my order. This order was attempted delivery by Fed Ex at 4:30pm at my alternate location (I have 2 locations over an hour apart) on the Friday night of the weekend before July 4th (so a holiday weekend). I really needed these supplies so ended up driving over 3 hours that night to sign the slip as I was working at our other location. But FedEx had put on their tracking "unable to deliver" because nobody was there. I have NEVER had to sign for them previously or had delivery interrupted like this for us not being present to receive from any service. When I explained this to them I did not get a single "Oh that ****, I'm sorry this happened" or "That's a shame, we didn't request signature on our end but still, I'm sorry this happened. In the future do this....." I specifically asked what I did wrong with this order. The answer I got was an explanation how it was not their fault, it evidently was my fault because I couldn't know that my signature was not required since I could not see the slip that was left (even though a slip was left) because the driver did not check the signature required box on the slip. It was not their problem and they evidently did not care in the least when I said I would not be able to continue to order from them if this was how orders were going to be shipped. So good-bye Camden Grey - I work with a LOT of vendors and have had issues with orders over the years with a wide variety of them but have never received such a cold, defensive response. I can handle rude customer service but when she said "we reserve the right to request a signature upon delivery for any shipment and so does FedEx" I was like "Oh forget this - I'm OUT." I need companies who WANT to work with their customers to ensure the shipments are being delivered without a ton of drama - Camden Grey is NOT one of those types of companies."

Horrible customer service. 5/30/2020

"My package was never delivered and I reached out to Fedex but of course they arent taking the proper measures to figure out where they delivered my package. So I reached out to Camden and Grey because they can very easily use the insurance to have another package sent out to me. They are refusing to help me! Saying after the package leaves the facility it basically not their problem. Ridiculous, this isnt the first time ive had bad customer service from them either. I will no longer purchase my bulk items from this site. "

Bad Lavender 40/42 ruined two batches of cold pour soap.

"Made two batches of Lavender soap with the Lavender 40/42 EO. Both batches were garbage. I have been making soap for almost 20 years. I have sold hundreds of bars of my soap locally. I have made many batches of Lavender 40/42 EO soap. This is first time I used Camden-Grey Lavender 40/42 EO. All my ingredients were new and good. My formula was right - just made some Bay Rum with it and it turned out perfect. Something is definitely very wrong with their Lavender 40/42 EO. I have read that some companies dilute their EO's with alcohol or other fillers to get their profits up. I hope Camden-Grey would never do this, but something is definitely wrong with the Lavender 40/42 EO they sent me. Their price was significantly lower than other companies, and that is why I purchased from them. But now I am out A LOT of money (the EO, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Castor Oil, Palm Kernel Flakes, Lye) - not to mention the time I invested in making both batches. Very upsetting. "

Stealing from customers

"I ordered from them 8/22 for over $166 and $25 in shipping. We had a dispute from a previous order which we're still in negotiations about and I received an email today saying they are refunding the $166 but NOT the $25 in shipping for something that NEVER left their business.

They are in effect STEALING from me!

Follow Directions

"I've been a customer for over 8 years. Plugging other companies on these reviews? Really? Jeesh. Get your own blog. Here's the scoop. You WILL NOT like them if a) you are used to fake, watered down, commercialized "play" products and don't know how to handle or what to expect from truly natural essential oils; and b) if you can't read, comprehend and follow directions re: their terms of service or offers and you're looking forward to ripping them off in some way. If that's the case, just stick with your high-volume factory, pyramid scheme companies. They are there for you precisely because they KNOW you're ignorant. They can afford your chicanery because they're used to dealing with high-volume, low class fools. No need to bash Camden-Grey because YOU expect junk, didn't do your product research and don't know how to add a code again or re-enter the shipping method when you add or remove an item from your cart. I've never had a problem because I know the nature, properties, risks and how to handle what I'm ordering and how to order it using their site. Go on with yourself. Enjoy the smell of burning cooking oil when you mist or burn other companies' "essential" oils. As well, you seriously can't put other companies' crap in a perfumers alcohol and expect it to blend or age well to a mature stable parfum. I can even create amazing things with just the 3 small complimentary samples they send at my request with every order. (Again, if you can follow their directions, you'd know know to get free samples, too.)

Refused to honor promotion code

"Website removed a 15% discount promotional code, when I hit the back button to add more things to my cart. I did not notice it until after I completed the purchase. Promptly emailed customer service and got a salty reply referring me to a link that basically said “you’re **** out of luck”. Emailed them again and never got another reply. I found the same items I purchased on Camden’s website for significantly less on New Directions website and will be shopping with New Directions from now on. I will not stand behind a company with such poor customer service. Especially, when they have higher prices than other companies selling the same products! I am an avid online shopper and have never purchased from a company that refused to honor promotional codes that had been erroneously removed from my cart at checkout... even on the occasions where I was at fault. "

Quality EOs

"Camden Gray has been my go to source for EOs since 2007 or 2006. I make soap and skin care products. I had to stop my crafts for a few years due to family illnesses, and just recently returned to the world of crafting. Everything I’ve ever ordered from CG has been top notch when I first began ordering and my return to ordering. I can not comment on CS in terms of resolving issues because I’ve never had a problem with any of my orders. I can say shipping is fast to NYS and packaging to prevent damage and leakage of the EO s has been exceptional. Over all, the EOs I have ordered, especially Patchouli, have all been good top notch quality. I’m sorry if others have had problems and very surprised as well. "

Do not do business with them. Horrible Service

"Seriously. Do not do business with them. I notified them of an error in my order and the charge within minutes of placing it online. I requested that they either adjust the amount or cancel the order. I was advised that once an order is placed it cannot be canceled or changed. Lauren was very arrogant and after showing her the mistakes she sent this reply "As explained on our website and during checkout, we don’t allow cancelations, sir. ".

This treatment and lack of customer service has forced me to call the bank and initiate a dispute with the charge.

Nasty and unresonable.

" If there was less than a star, I would have rated them as less than zero. We had an order on our end canceled. We were not sure about adding another oil to our Camden Grey order. They held the order (Probably hadn't even packed it) and we we said we had to cancel the entire order they packed it and they shipped it anyway! They said the information about cancellations is on their site. Took me quite awhile to find it in a page written in a .3 size font! Who goes and looks for that info about canceling an order that hasn't even shipped? AND they have a 50$ minimum! Most companies have this information in large print at the check out, but not these people! We had to return or decline many oils from other companies due to our customer changing their mind. Everyone EXCEPT Camden Grey were gracious and kind about it. But not Camden Grey. This woman wrote me a vicious response! I do not know how they stay in business as Laura, little miss can't be wrong from there, is one miserable, sharp tongued a--hole. , who makes personal attacks, I hope she doesn't have any children or pets! We have been in the perfume business for over 10 years and have never had to deal with such an arrogant condescending person. It you want good oils at a good price buy from Sun Rose!"

5 year customer and going!

"High quality REAL Essential Oils! I have been a customer for 5 years now and I have never gotten a bad product from them. I have ordered from many different suppliers for my business but I stick with Camden grey for my Essential Oils. I've always had good customer service with them. And to the person below who said their shea butter didn't resolidify, hard oils and butters can take days to resolidify. This is a naturally occurring property. It has a fancy scientifiy name but I assure you it's suppose to do that. "
