I said the one for 299.00 and he said it is the cheap one, the US built was 499.00. I advised him to cancel the order. I called and the sales guy mentioned that my camera came with a demo battery and that is the reason why it was so cheap. I felt a little cheated, but with the addition of a upgrade to the battery that I expected to receive in the first place, the price was about normal. I received the battery in the box, there was no indication that it was the upgraded battery, plus i received a silver camera when i ordered a black.

it was new, so no worries there, but i called to find out what happened. it was a mistake, and they sent me an 8 hour battery at no charge for the inconvenience. everyone makes mistakes, it's how they deal with it that matters. a happy customer here. "I just purchased a Nikon D3100 with a Nikon 18-55mm VR lens for $449.99. I took it out on a very important professional photo shoot and the camera shutter release only went off about 50% of the time. I can't tell how many great shots I missed!

After the photo shoot, I brought my camera into a huge camera shop that I've used in the past and had one of their salesman look at my camera. After testing it, he said, "Return it!!"

I just took it to UPS to "exchange" it after calling AJRichies. I had to pay $19 to have it shipped back (slowest ground service). I am exchanging the camera instead of returning it, that was the only choice I was given since I had opened the camera and accessories.

I think, after having read other reviews on this resellerratings.com that the camera I purchased was not new, but instead was refurbished and repackaged as new. I can only hope that the next camera I order from them for my exchange is in perfect working condition. If not, I will be extremely upset and will stop at nothing to get a "return" this time and get my money back in a timely fashion. In summary, don't be enticed by their low prices like I was. Don't order from them!"

"I purchased a camera using this companies on-line system. The showed the camera in stock. I ordered on 12/2' they have a commitmtent statement that you receive item in 7to 10 days. After 10 days i had received no updates. I tried calling their 800# to get a status, the phone line said it was out of order, i emailed to get a status and received a response to call during business hours, which I had. (during this time they have not charged my credit card). Next day call during office hours and got through to voice recording and stayed on hold for over 30 minutes. I next went to an on-line review web site and rated AJ Richies with a negative rating. Next day recieve a call from customer service manage Rob, he apologiesd and said they had phone problems and would get the camera shipped out within 24 hours if i would change my review to positive. I agreed, the next day i recieve an update with a UPS tracking that a package lable had been generated. They then charged my credit card. Four days pass and there is no update on the UPS tacking site. I called UPS and after they traced the package that they never picked up a package that the shipper AJ Richies had just generated a lable but had not tendered the package over to UPS. Since then 5days have past and i have called 3times withour success. And have sent 5 emails with no response. I tried to update my review on the on-line review website but your not able to update once you change it a second time. Apparently AJRichie knows that."
