"I ordered a Canon G10 from Camera Giants. I was told it was going 3-day with UPS. The next day I received an e-mail from them saying it had shipped and they included a tracking number. The tracking number didn't show up in UPS' system and I still haven't gotten my camera. I've twice been disconnected from their customer service line and they don't respond to e-mail. I'll NEVER buy from these guys again."
"My experience is just as bad as everyone elses experience. I ordered a Garmin Nuvi 765T from them early in the afternoon. By late afternoon I received a phone call from them telling me that for an extra $99 I could buy a memory card. I wondered why I would want that since, they told that it came with no software or maps on the GPS. When I told him to cancel the order because they are screwing me, that operator laughed and asked me, "from the front or the back?". I got very upset at this point and told him to just cancel the &(** (&(*&(* order. "
"I had the same experiance as everyone else here. They are a scam operation and nothing more. I just wanted to post a review to see if I could lower their average score any more than it already is. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. RUN AWAY!"
"I went on line an ordered a Garmin 265 WT GPS. I received a confirmation, order #. I received a phone call the next day from Brian asking me which battery charger I wanted to order, the $7 or $99 one. I said it comes with one a rechargeable lithium-ion battery & it says so on your website. He said it doesn't. I said then send me the GPS as ordered without the charger. He said I can't separate the charger from the order. That means the unit that is for sale includes the charger! He was trying to get an additonal fee after falsely advertising his product. I told him I would contact the BBB & he said do what you want the order is cancelled. He would not listen & I realized this is just a scam. This type of practice should not be permitted. Cameragiants.com should lose there license & not be allowed to to sell on the interent under this name or another they may have.
As I stated previously, unsuspecting buyers should not have to tolerate this type of sales scam. He sells under everyone else's price to draw you in & then hits you with his line that the charger isn't included. If he gets 10 buyers & loses 6 he still comes out a head by scamming the ones you didn't want to cancel the order.Camergiants.com & any other name they are selling under should lose their license to sell on the internet or any where else.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE"
"Same as everyone else.
Bought item online one night. Next day found this website with all the awful reviews. Just like everyone said... I received an email stating I had to call to confirm my order. Phones answered rudely (no, 'hi thank you for calling camera giants, just a muffled 'hello') which was a tip off. After I confirmed my camera order it seemed to be going okay, then he followed with "so did you want the 4 hour or 6 hour battery". Nowhere did it state the $149 camera came without a battery. I was told if I wanted a "kit" with a battery and fast charger it would be $299. The same battery he was trying to sell me was at Best Buy for $40 less. Told him to cancel order and he responded with "fine, it's canceled" then hung up on me.
Complete waste of time."
"Received the email verification to call them. Did not call but sent an email to cancel this order based on the reseller ratings posted here. Surprising to me they cancelled the order a few days later."
"Stay away! Their salesman tried to convince me that I HAD to have a preformatted SD card in order to use a GPS unit. 69.00 more. Just a variation of bait and switch. Which is a variation of dishonesty. "
"Basically, my complaint with this company echoes the multitude of other dissatisfied customers!
Opinion: This company is horrible, with horrible tactics and workers.
Facts: I called and attempted to order the Garmin Nuvi 760 for the very cheap price of $139. I gave the worker my information and told him what I wanted, and then he asked me what extras I wanted with the GPS system. I told him that I didn't want any extras. He then proceeded to inform me that I needed the extra 8mb thing that came with it and stated me that the GPS system would not work without it - that I had to buy it. I had looked up the product the night before online and got information about it, and actually read that I would not need the 8mb extra. But the person I was on the phone with would not take no for an answer. He stated that yes, I "needed" the accessory, and that it would be added to my order. I told him no again, and then he informed me that the camera was on back order. Nowhere is this mentioned anywhere on the site.
So, then I went online to purchase the item. It went through fine (no back order, say what!), and I called to confirm my order. Again with the accessories that I "needed." After I declined again, he informed me that the item was on back order and that it would be 3-4 weeks for the item to arrive (after I had already added to my order the expedited shipping).
The "managers" were very rude to me and continuously hung up on me when I was trying to get information from them. I finally got my order canceled, and then I changed my credit card number. Do not trust these people. Do not order from them. Ever."
"Absolute scam website. Have excellent prices on electronics, then have you call for "verification." At that point, I was told that the camera that Panasonic sells with the camera (DMC-FZ28) only lasts 10 minutes, and was told I would have to buy an "extended battery." When I refused to do so, my order was cancelled despite the fact that I told them not to."
"I just noticed the review from FAA saying all those stores on his list are rip offs right....
I looked at them and noticed they are using godaddy for their web server...
If we all write/call godaddy and tell them their company are being used to rip 1000s of people then just maybe we can help close down these rip offs or any other we notice hurting so many people...Just a thought ..I forsure am telling them ill not do business with them if the support these aholes...
THANK YOU RESELLERRATINGS.com for saving me tons of hassel (and money)..
I will forsure link this site to EVERYONE I know and to 1000s that see me on the net...YOU ROCK.."
"DO NOT BUY HERE!!! I ordered a nikon D90 at an amazingly discounted price. My father notified me when I got home Sunday that they called saying I needed to confirm my order. When I called they tried the same hard sell tactics your other reviewers warned about. They tried to sell me an unnamed "superior" battery for $299 and a charger for $249. When I asked why I needed a battery when the camera came with battery and charger, they said the packaged battery only runs for 25 minutes and the hi-cap one runs for 3 hours. I found a hi- cap battery at another store for $80 (with the Nikon Part No. listed). The salesman then got angry and very defensive/hostile and said that sites like this are liars and I was throwing away a great deal. He then offered to cut the price in half, battery and charger together for $250.00. I told him to cancel the order and that this would be reported. I've notified my bank to stop payment if they or a company called ABC tries to draft my acct. Thanks for the heads up. You all were right on the money, this business is bad news. DO NOT BUY HERE."
"I tried to buy a Garmin NUVI 785T but got a salesman calling me the next day to sell me accessories that I did not want. As indicated below the salesman got irritated and my order is now back ordered.
I have canceled my order and filed fraud charges in Washington state against the company as well as filed a complaint with the BBB against the company. Its time buyers started to police these companies and remove them as potential issues to those who can be taken advantage of easily."
"I ordered a Canon EOS 5D Mark II listed on their web site for $1749.00 body only. Listed under the Kit Contents tab were listed all the standard contents found on Canon's web site for the camera. I received an e-mail the following day asking me to call them to further verify my order. This is apparently their standard scam operation according to other posts. The rep tried to tell me the camera for $1749 did not include the standard accessories (battery, charger, strap, etc.) included as per Canon's web site but I could upgrade to that package for an additional $429. I promptly told him to cancel the order and hung up. I received an e-mail that the order was canceled soon afterwards.
WARNING - A few hours later I received a call from my bank's fraud alert that someone was trying to charge $5000 to a company called ABC. Not sure if this company was the source but the timing is very suspicious!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!
"
"Like everyone else, I placed an order and got a call the next day from a salesperson asking me to buy 4 rechargeable batteries for $50 and a 1GB SD card for $90! He also told me that one item that I ordered (a Canon lens) was plastic and the metal model was $230 more! I told him that all that I wanted was what I ordered and he seemed irritated. He said that the order would be placed and it was supposed to be 1 to 2 day delivery. I checked and it was back ordered! When I tried to check on the back order, my only option was to cancel the order. I am thinking about turning this site into my state's attorney general's office for fraud. I canceled my order and I am on alert with my credit card company to allow no charges. DON'T GO HERE FOR ANYTHING!"
"This is the most dishonest, rude, horrible place I ever had the misfortune of trying to deal with. Story exactly the same as everyone else has reported. In the exact sequence. They are the worst, DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR ADS ! They lie. Then when you call them on it , they say you are lying! I refused shippment when UPS got here, and then was worried they would say they didn't get it back. They did however refund my money. PLEASE don't try to save a few bucks , the stress of this ordeal was terrible. Pay the reasonable amount at a reputable store. I did and got the same camera, with no problems whatsoever. BEWARE OF CAMERA GIANTS. They should change their name to CAMERA SCAMMERS. "
