"I was needing a new easy to use point and shoot and had been looking at the Kodak PixPros for awhile. Suddenly, when I REALLY needed the camera...stock photos for friends....every place I looked, they were suddenly sold out. It didn't matter WHICH version of the Kodak PixPro it was, they were gone and I was up a creek. I happen to stumble upon Cameta Camera and there it was. Just what I was looking for and they were in stock! And at a decent price...Hallelujah. My shoot was saved, and so was my ****. The camera is great, bit of a learning curve but takes awesome shots. "While I like that the d3300 has more features, it does not seem to perform the way I expected when looking at photos others had taken using the same settings in similar locations. Also, I find that both my old lens, while they do work on the 3300 as they are supposed to, are not giving me sharp images, somewhat blurred instead. Why I do not know, doesn't make much difference what shutter speed I use. Not a sharp focus.
The lens that came with the camera seems to do fine. Learning how to find the right settings apart from Auto.
Also, the shutter does not fire instantly all the time when I push the button. Sometimes it hesitates and I miss the photo I was hoping for. When using continuous mode, the 3300 might not fire right away, then starts to take off. It will stop after about five shots, wait a moment, then start up again. Maybe I need a card with more GB.

However, not to be completely negative, I am learning better how to use the more advanced settings for pictures that I need, which are mostly for the newspaper I work for."
