There was a seat in the advert. I had to purchase a very basic seat for $ 35 .00. It's been a week I'm still waiting for a seat. The prices are great but you have to wait forever to get your merchandise."
"i ordered a jacket from their website to get here (in Australia) for winter. 1 month later the product still hadnt been dispatched. The delivery component of the order was US$57.80, and was promised to arrive within 14-25 days.
26 days later I wrote an email complaining, as I had now missed a good portion of winter. I was given a $15 discount (which is around 11% of the order total). Felt this was fairly poor customer service and refund in general for having failed to live up to their end of the deal so blatantly."
"It is rare that I feel impassioned enough to write a negative review for a company, but in this case I cannot contain my disappointment and frustration with this company. I have had slow order delivery in the past and especially around Christmas you expect this. However, when you place an order for over $135.00 dollars, and on the 6th day after ordering it still hasn't processed, you know there is a problem. I come to find out my entire order was being held because a clearance item that was less than $3.00 was on back order - until sometime close to a month after my order. They would have actually held my order for another 2-3 weeks until that item came in. Madness. To make it worse, I am still waiting 3 days later for UPS to get my package. I won't get my package in time for my hike and I ordered within the 10 business days but Campsaver failed. Needless to say, Campsaver has lost another customer."
"The business model at Campsaver is messed up, they sell gear that they don't own. Their customer service told me that there is notice somewhere on the order page of the fact that the gear you order from them is not in stock, apparently tis is easy to miss. I ordered a pack from them. They sent a confirmation. Then a few hours later they sent another email saying that the estimated shipping day was 10-21 days out. Then I called customer service and they told me that shipping of the item was actually about 6 weeks out! Most modern online backcountry gear retailers ship gear within a day or so. If Campsaver doesn't get with the program, their future looks pretty grim to me. "
"Ordered my gear and they told me it would be around 20 days to fill the order. That's fine, everything was from Japan. 1 month later they still don't have it. 2 months later they still don't have it, and tell me it is going to be another month. 3 months (maybe longer) just to get stock of the items I ordered. Don't waste your time. "

Moment of choice. Desire for consumption v. common sense. I figured I could always cancel my credit card charge if there was a problem. Consumption triumphed over caution.
Ordered place on 2/26. Confirmation the next day. Charge to my account later that day. Confirmation of shipping that day as well via UPS. Product received 3/2 exactly as promised. Last one in the country I am sure. :)

"I was informed I would receive a size exchange for an item that they did have in stock, however, once they received the returned item, they issued a credit instead and never explained what happened. I called to inquire about the item I had not yet received and they said, "Oh, sorry, we don't hold items for exchanges and it looks like that size ran out of stock...pause...yeah, sorry about that." That's it! No offer to refund my money or try and help me find another item/color, etc. When I realized the money was sitting on store credit, I called back and asked for a refund. I understand mistakes happen, however they will not receive future business from me simply because they demonstrated poor customer service and untimely service/response."
"Purchased a cargo box with free shipping and 10% coupon. After 4 days I receive an email that I need to come up with another $200.00 for shipping. I offered to pay $100 and asked them to cover the rest being as it's their issue. I received the most belligerent, nonwavering email I've ever gotten from a merchant. Seriously?!? It's all good! I purchased a pair of ski pants for my daughter as a Christmas present from CampSaver thru Amazon. I paid MSRP $400, so they were not close out or discontinued. As it turns out they did not fit so I requested a return authorization which was denied. CampSaver has a 60 day return policy but Amazon has a 30 day policy and I made the return request between the two. After about dozen or so emails and phone calls I was stuck with a $400 pair of pants that did not fit. Sure I was beyond the Amazon 30 day window but REALLY?? These were current model ski pants at the beginning of the ski season. I offered to pay shipping on return and accept an exchange but they refused. I am discussed with CampSaver and Amazon!! I purchased the correct size from REI and got them for $460 after member rebate and they stand behind their sales forever. "

Told me that they did have 2 other colors in stock but that I’d have to pay an extra $115 for them. Their websote showed many other colors in stock. What a nightmare. DONT BE TRICKED! "This company has had $700 of my money for 2 months! I sent the order back due to “ brokerage fees” ......money charged by the courier company over and above customs and duties. They have always sent my orders via USPS which do not charge this fees. When I complained they refused to reshape my order due to “cost” yet they atr hanging on to my money a month after I declined the package. I have a paypal dispute in progress to try and get my money back. Shame on you Campsaver. You’ve lost me as a customer and I will no longer be recommending you!"
