"I had an electrical problem that 3 shops could not find and Hammer Time pinpointed the problem in the first post. He supplied a wiring diagram and detailed instructions to confirm the problem and replace the problem part."
"These people are lifesavers. They supply parts locations complete with pictures and wiring diagrams. They are professional techs willing to share their knowledge."
"Hammertime is the lead mod for this site. He likes to be over bearing and rude. When you point out his mistakes. He simply deletes everything and bans you from the site.
Case in point: there was a thread where a newbie was making some pretty big/expensive AC mistakes. I commented on it using the quote feature. He publicly berated me for using the quote button! Not for what I said!
So I asked him why there was a quote button if we were not to use it... He replied to confuse people like me. And do you wsnt to get back to fixing your car now.
I replied "Nope, car is working great"
He then replied well then since your problem is resolved, I am locking this thread.
I sent him a PM. Telling him that the OP still had a problem... and that I was NOT the Op.
His next move was to delete all the interaction between us, and ban me.
I gotta question the advice of anyone who acts in such an immature manner"
"Was comparing prices on the net an found carjunky to have the best price for the O2 Sensor I needed for my older honda prelude. I even though I order on a Sunday night I still reieved the part on tuesday. Will look to shop at carjunky the next time I need another part."
"Avoid Car Junky.com auto repair forum. Horrible customer service, arrogant, condescending. The moderator will lock the thread if you challenge or disagree with his advice.
I recently posted a problem with my car on the CarJunky.com automotive repair forum. The moderator, who goes by the screen name "hammer time", is as arrogant and rude as the come. He locked a thread because I disagreed his advice.
He kept telling me my battery was the issue when in fact it was a brand new battery, and confirmed fully charged. He claims to be an ASE certified mechanic but when I told him this, he shot back with a condescending quip, and basically said ... If you don't like my advice go someplace else, and locked the thread, so nobody else could reply with a helpful answer and show him up.
This "Hammer Time" named moderator should be fired, and have someone else in place who knows how to communicate with people.
Avoid CarJunky.com site like the plaggue! "
"To be brief, I have ordered parts from this online website in the past and did fine; although a recent order for struts and strut boot covers did not go so well.
One of the struts was shipped with no nut to secure it to the car (Order#14885799-6/29/12), and with the original nut not reusable, my car ended up having to stay on the lift until the next day when another nut could be found. Called the company (same day) and put in a claim. They finally responded on 7/25, with a note that they 'may' offer me a rebate to buy the nut locally; that was not helpful since the nut was needed on 7/3.
Also order #14885800 was for the strut boot covers that was suppose to arrive in time to install with the struts; called company on 7/3, was told that this ordered was sourced to another outside vendor; called them and covers would not be received till 7/6; they arrived 7/7.
This was a major inconvenience since I needed the work completed for a trip planned on 7/7.
I should have just bought the parts locally, lesson learned!

"Their moderator for Engine Troubleshooting, Tom Greenleaf, has a few problems. Instead of focusing on solutions for posed problems, he'll tell you vehicle you're working on is lousy. If you try to keep the focus on the problem/solution, he'll start a flame war and then close the discussion so he gets the last word. My guess is that he owns an HP or Gateway because he didn't research before buying a PC."
"Absolutely horrible!!! I order FOUR fender flares and they estimated 2-9 business days but I would receive a shipping notification with 2. I never did. I waited 1 week and asked if I could get some info on when it would be shipped. The guy barely spoke english and said they will ship out soon. I received them a week later (10 business days, no tracking) and there were only TWO when I ordered FOUR, they were the wrong style of flares, and they were for the WRONG TRUCK! I'm still dealing with the return of them because they never emailed me the RA#... NEVER BUY FROM CAR JUNKY!!!!!!!!!!"
"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Their customer service is the worst and their advertised products do not live up to claims. This company gladly took my order and my money to send me a bike rack they assured me would fit my husband's car. I ordered, received, and put it aside for his birthday present. Now, we open it and the manufacturer material does not recommend it for the type of car that CarJunky promised it would fit both verbally and in their online catalog. Of course, CarJunkly refuses to take it back because it is beyond their 30 day return period. They are disreputable and not worthy of earning one hard earned dime from customers. I wish I had read these other reviews first!"
"I ordered 10 Lug nuts, and received only 5. I contacted their partner warehouse, who informed they were sending me a partial shipment of the other 5 lugs. Haven't received them yet, so I will call their 800 number to see what is going on.
You are probably better off ordering from U.S. Auto Parts, since they are the ones who supply Car Junky. Also the Auto Parts place sells the same items a lot cheaper.
Am starting to get the impression I will never see my lugs. Other than that, the parts came in on time and well packaged. Why they sent only 5 when I ordered 10 is beyond me. Will keep you posted as to final results."
"Terrible customer service. AVOID CARJUNKY.COM I orderes two brake rotors that didn't fit when I tried them on my car and they didn't match the item description. I went to their website and filled out a return form. Shortly after I recieved an e-mail telling me to cal an 800 number. I called customer service and someone who barely spoke English picked up the phone. I explained my situationd and she said she will send an e-mail with return instructions and an adress. Instead she sent me the same e-mail saying to call the same number. I kept calling back and never made it past hold. I waited for over 40 minutes, more than once, but no one answered. Now I'm stuck with two brake rotors I can't use."
"AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I ordered a part on January 5th and it is now 10 days later and I have received nothing!! They provided a tracking number which only means that they generated a shipping ticket on UPS website, When I track the package UPS says IT NEVER SHIPPED!! They claim they are investigating with UPS and they will have and answer in 1-2 days from UPS. I called UPS directly & they say it will be 5 days. In the meantime, CarJunky won't even reship the part! We've called customer service multiple times and are always told the same thing.. we have to wait. They've already charged our credit card $300.00 and will not give me a refund even though they know I did not receive it , they will not refund my money. My customer is furious because I have had their car for 2 weeks & it may be another week. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! "
"Ordered 2 A/C knobs for my Honda Accord since I couldn't find them in the auto parts shop. Great prices and super fast shipping! Highly recommended."
"I purchased 2 sets of mud flaps for my F-150 pickup and although the mud flaps aren't the highest quality, they were the cheapest, ($19.95 per set). You get what you pay for and I think they'll last a year or two anyway. They do look nice with the reflectors on the bottom of them. The service that I got when I called them about the flaps was good although the knowledge of the people I talked to was a bit limited. When I placed the order, I got an email confirming it and they also sent me a tracking# within 24 hours of my order. It was shipped Fedex and I recieved it a few days after that. Their partner web site is autopartswarehouse.com. What can I say, you order from them and you get what you ordered in a timely matter. I would order again from this company."
"I've placed two orders with them: Both arrived in good shape within two days. (Your mileage may vary.) Great prices."
