"I have purchased many cards from them with no issues, however, I have also purchased cards that are already registered to another person and I am not able to add them to my Starbucks or Caribou account. The whole point is to be able to use the card on my account, not someone else's.
After repeated attempts, I still have not received an answer from customer service, my emails are continually ignored.
DON'T BUY OR SELL CARDS WITH CARDPOOL!"
"I bought a $70 card that only had $1.43 on it. I emailed them three times over a two week period and also called and left voicemails because apparently their customer service reps are too busy to pick up. Looks like they're too busy to call me back too. Going to have to dispute this with my credit card."
"I have been a customer for several years with cardpool and if I ever had an issue they answered me right away. I bought some Chilli's gift cards back in March 2018 and tried to use them- they both had a zero balance on them. I contacted them through email 4 times and left phone messages several times and since last week. They did not email me nor call me back. I finally called my credit card company and did a charge back. i will never use them again- horrible customer service. Go to raise, at least if you have a problem, they will deal with it right away. "
"I bought a card that was supposed to have $100 balance on it. I bought it for $88. I went to try to use it and it has $73 on it!! I have tried in every way to contact cardpool and they don’t respond! I have emailed on multiple occasions and managed to dig up a phone number for them on google and called but all you get is a voicemail that they never return! Very unhappy and feel this will not get resolved because they don’t have a customer service!!"
"I ordered several gift cards for The Container Store, which I was saving to use TODAY because they have a 30% off sale.
Of the 7 cards I ordered, 3 had issues! Two have a zero balance, and one has a lesser balance than indicated!
These are the three orders I have issues with:
1. Order #33735829 - Balance is supposed to be $115.77, but actual balance is $0
2. Order #33457813 - Balance is supposed to be $215.92, but actual balance is $0
3. Order #33600328 - Balance is supposed to be $153.74, but actual balance is $89.18
* I tried sending emails and calling Cardpool. No response! Impossible to speak to a human by calling. Cards are "supposedly" guaranteed - but they owe me $396.26!
Cards issued have card # and pin exposed -- anyone can still use them -- Dangerous business! Stay away!"
"POOR communication. POOR customer service. Save yourself time and frustration and avoid!!!!"
"Traded a walmart gift card for amazon card. Deposited the Amazon card and amazon took the money out of my account and said the gift card was a disputed payment meaning they charged back. FUN! Rip my $150 :)
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL!"
"Was a little skeptical at first because of reviews like this. Just want you to know Cardpool is OFFICIAL!!! Got a Nordstrom gift card as a gift. Sold it to Cardpool for 80% of its value. Got my WELLSFARGO check in the mail exactly 7 days later, and they still did not use the card. Be aware they link your bank accountant so you can try and REuse the giftcard. Overall I recommend selling your cards to Cardpool. "
"This is specifically written for sellers as a warning to please consider drinking a glass of the finest bleach before thinking about doing business with this company. Seeing the contrast between how Cardpool has been regarded as being "One of the most well-known and most trusted gift card platforms", according to MoneyPantry, a very popular personal finance blog ranking amongst one of the top most visited sites on Google or the "Best for Selling Gift Cards" according to TopTenReviews, also another highly trusted source for finding out basic information on companies... compared to the hundreds of complaints of angry customers citing the massive amount of fraud experienced by both buyers and sellers is truly nothing short of baffling. After carefully researching both sides of the argument here I decided it was time to conduct a little experiment to really test the theory of whether Theftpool could be trusted. After gathering up around $1000.00 cash I decided to purchase gift cards from 5 major retailers which include 2 $100.00 target gift cards, 3 $50.00 best buy, 1 $500.00 Bed Bath and Beyond, 2 $25.00 starbucks, and 1 $50.00 chipotle gift card. Officially taking the 2 Starbucks cards along with the $500.00 Bed Bath and Beyond card, I went to one of Theftpools strategically placed yellow thief kiosk to sell them for a visa gift card. The machine rejected both Starbucks cards without any answer as to why they were not accepted and after 4 attempts to sell the $500.00 Bed Bath and Beyond card a new error message popped up stating that "the balance of this card must be at least $15.00 to sell". As confirmed by the numerous complaints from customers saying customer service is non-existent unsurprisingly THE S*** REALLY WAS NON-EXISTANT :D!! Turns out the Bed Bath and Beyond gift card after calling to verify the balance turned out to be completely drained of every penny and redeemed at multiple states instore nowhere near the vicinity I was currently at so surprise there mutha*******. Moving on to selling the gift cards online I sent in both Starbucks gift cards to never receive the check I was promised and ended up receiving an email after 17 attempts to contact the company that the "gift cards were lost in the mail". So far we have successfully got f***** $550.00. Attempting both Target cards at another exchange kiosk apparently more errors popped up stating the machine was down because I almost forgot Cardpools invisible warning "These kiosks don't really work and are more for display purposes only! Please enjoy how really ugly this machine is before giving it permission a**f*** you to pieces." Apparently this was the same issue for every kiosk within a 50 mile radius and would remain that way for the next 7 weeks straight. Sending in one of the Target gift cards through the mail meanwhile 1 week later they verified the card had actually be received to my complete shock followed by no check received in the mail ever! So far the progress is great because it completely confirms every suspicion of this horrible site. Finally taking the last couple of gift cards to a Kiosk that actually worked the remaining gift cards were successfully sold and the visa gift cards were scanned for official activation. Taking the first visa gift card to a gas station to test it out unsurprisingly it turns out every single visa gift card was completely inactive and non functional so there you have it ladies and gentleman :) Cardpool is the absolute best place for (DONATING) your gift cards completely free of charge. My only suggestion to this company would be to atleast wine and dined your customers before you F*** THEM! "
"On 7/25 I purchased four gift cards from Cardpool. 3 were electronic and 1 was plastic.
WEEKS have gone by and I NEVER RECEIVED MY GIFT CARD FROM THEM!
Of the other three electronic cards, I got to the register of the store and was EMBARRASSED and HUMILIATED because TWO of them had a ZERO BALANCE.
Do you know what it is like to stand there and have everyone in the store listen to the cashier tell you that you were DECLINED.
TWICE.
So to repeat, FOUR cards were purchased and THREE were a SCAM. I have NO idea how they stay in business.
RIPOFF"

"Exchanged two gift cards for Amazon code. NEVER got the Amazon code. Replied via email to report the issue, got no response, and the next time I went to log into the website, my account was deleted! DO NOT USE THIS SITE!"
"just waiting on them to complete my order."
"I sent them 4 gift cards totaling 75 dollars. They are claiming they never received my gift cards. I know thats a joke. thousands of articles of mail are sent and relieved daily, but the first package i have "missing" is the one i sent to them that i was supposed to be paid. SCAM"
