"Lots of anger - long drawn out exchanges unsatisfied customer! The basic facts are these: Advertised NEW cell phones that were unlocked. I looked at the number of satisfied customers reviews, and ordered two for some friends who were seeking assistance getting new phones. BOTH phones were visibly NOT NEW! A piece of the rear cover had a 1/4 inch half circle cutout on the side, The interiors had fingerprints and spears inside. One of the phone's battery got so hot my friend kept calling me because they thought it might catch on fire! Also the phone was resetting itself at least once a day, and they had to take the battery out to reset it when it locked up - also about once a day. The other phone would not charge, and the plug would not take the USB cable very well. (That was fixed by using the other phone's cable). After complaining the first time around (5 days after receipt) they assured me they were supposed to be new, and I should send them back if they were unacceptable, and I could keep 20% of the costs as an inconvenience. But at this point I wanted them to admit they were NOT NEW, but they just sent me RMA# and told me to send them both back. I had a few other email exchanges and then sent the worst one back for exchange and now after 2 weeks no reply to email, no voicemail space left on their phone system, e-bay says they are no longer merchants with them and I'm out $200.00 and the PHONE.
EVERYONE --- when you by from Amazon and/or EBAY take the time to look at the NEGATIVE COMMENTS --- NO MATTER HOW MANY GOOD REVIEWS YOU SEE! ESPECIALLY THE COMMENTS FROM THE PAST FEW MONTHS. Don't know if I'll get relief from this, ebay says it will begin the process to assist me in getting my money back/Return. We'll see."

I spoke with a **** the phone today from the company, explained everything and she proceeded to tell me that the transaction was voided/cancelled. Well I was never informed of it. And it looked up until my phone call with her that the transaction was still processing. NOW it says Manually cancelled. If I would have known this YESTERDAY I would have replaced the order. But no one ever contacted me to inform me and I have STILL yet to receive the email stating such. She told me I would have to pay for the overnight shipping if I placed an order again. Such bull. She also told me a manager will call me. I feel she was quite rude. I do not know why the transaction was not processed completely. I verified that funds are in the account so it couldn't have been cancelled due to non-payment. Well I asked to speak to a manager and I have YET to hear from someone. HORRRIBLLLLLLEEEE!!! Stay AWAY from this company!!"

"They take your order, take your personal information and credit card info. Fail to provide an invoice, but do provide a confirmation number. When I call, days later, they claim the order is being shipped.
When I call 8 days later they say they canceled the order. They never had the product to ship.
I will never do business with them again.
They should be bankrupt ! Good Riddance !"
"Just got off the phone with Nancy from cell phone city to see when my phone would arrive. She notified me that my payment had been denied and I should have received an email. I never received an email and my c.c. was fine. Im leaving the country in a few days and need a new phone. This is so stressful. Nancy apologized in a robotic way that sounded like shes done a million times before and suggested I order again and pay $25 for over night shipping. I dont feel like I should have to cover these shipping costs if I was never notified of the transaction failing. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she told me one could call me back within 24-48 hours. I dont have time for this and I am really stressed out.. Theres two more days in the work week and I leave the country the following Tuesday morning. So either I cover these costs or Im **** out of luck... all because they never notified me of a failed transaction. Sorry about the novel sized review.. Im very distressed."

I ordered a phone: HTC One m7. It came with a 60 day warranty and worked well for 62 days, at which point it died and is irreparable. I was shocked to find out that Cell Phone City would not offer any compensation. They told me they were sorry but the 60 days was up. Nothing. No partial reimbursement, no alternative phone offered. What happened to customer service?
I would NOT purchase from this company again and recommend that you go elsewhere.

I worked in customer service for years myself and fully understand how the " customer service department " is to treat customers, they, sure do not treat customers good at all. No response on shipping as they said in E mails after the product was paid for and promised by the so called Customer service department.
From the reviews I have seen I will spread the word on this company, NOT being a company I would deal with anymore. I wonder if the top management knows how there Customer Service people communicate with customers?"
"They sent me a phone that was defective. It took days to get a response to emails to any of their addresses listed in my shipment. They wouldn't cross ship a replacement. They needed a week to replace the phone which was unacceptable, especially given the $25 extra I paid for overnight shipping. I ended up repairing the phone myself only to discover MISSING PARTS and stripped screws. Now it works, but no thanks to these guys. Would never use again."
"This company is a total SCAM ! They send out phones with passwords already on them and they are NOT in the condition they claim. I have had to send back multiple items due to them not working or have passwords. Now I sent back a Iphone 5c with passwords already on it and they wont send me a new one. I have fought the charge with my credit card company. I have also posted on their Facebook page and they keep deleting customers remarks that are negative ! SCAM COMPANY !!! "

"Purchased a T-mobile phone from cellphonecity.com. I received it in a timely matter. I put my sim card in and would not connect. Come to find out after calling T-mobile, lost or stolen IMEI # and it was blocked. I called Cellphonecity.com and had to leave a message. Left a message on the facts and to please call me. No call happened. I emailed the next day with my issue and got a speedy response, with a RMA return slip to print and and prepaid postage slip. Seemed great customer service. However after taking the slip and package to USPS, this slip is not tracked, you can not receive a receipt for dropping it off, and it has no address to be able to send the package on my own dime, so that I can track it. I can only hope and prey that that are not dishonest and say that they never received it. According to their policy, if they do not receive the product back within 5 days of sending the RMA return slip, they will not refund or replace the product. My advise it to not use this company. Even if I get an new phone, or my money back, so much work and head ache. Find a better vendor. "

"Purchased a refurbished Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 guaranteed to have a clean ESN with expedited shipping. When I tried to activate it with Sprint, I was told that the phone was reported as lost or stolen. I contacted Cell Phone City and was told that they didn't know how that happened but that they would replace it and overnight the new phone. Over a week after I returned the phone, I got an email saying that they didn't have any more Sprint S3's and what would I want instead. When I told them I either wanted a clean S3 or an S4, they sent an email saying that they were refunding my money, and I should have the credit in 3-5 days. So, 3 weeks after my order with expedited shipping, I get to start all over trying to get a phone. I would have thought they'd make things right rather than risk a review that they are selling stolen phones. Guess not."
"I bought an iPhone in August & had to return it for a replacement within 1 month. I have had the replacement phone for just around 3 months and the battery won't hold a charge, the power button is broken & the speakers don't work. In August, their customer service said to contact them and not write a review, which I did. I have yet to hear from them in regards to this issue that was reported almost 12 hours ago. At a minimum, I should have gotten an email response saying they are looking into the issue. All I want now is a refund.
Do NOT buy any merchandise from CellphoneCity or Laptop Aid."
