"I purchased a Motorola Video Phone with T-Mobile Service through Cellular Buys in January 2006 and experienced no problem with phone delivery or service activation. However, still have not received $150 in promised rebates. This certainly represents false advertising and I am a victim or their scam. Of course, the websites for Cellular Buys and its rebate center provide no information or any means by which to contact them to confront this issue. "
"I had a good experience with this store. I ordered two Motorola Razr phones with cingular family plan . It had cingular rebates on it and I got the rebate fine. The order came through pretty quickly and had no problems.
I made sure that I did not take the rebate from the store which needs a wait of 6 months. That definitely sounded like a trick to me and I stayed away. For those who were taken by surprise by the wait period when they got their phones, please read the terms and conditions clearly."
"This company shouldn't be allowed to do business in the United States.
I ordered two phones over a month and a half ago along with accessories supposed to be included with the phones (bluetooth wireless headphones). The accessories are STILL not here, even though multiple calls to their "support center" (located in India - count on each call taking at least an hour) have always ended with the promise that the accessories would be shipped immediately, the most recent being yesterday.
Part of their business plan also seems to be trying to find creative ways to not pay the rebates they promise. The phones I received had all the requisite paperwork included for the rebates, which I submitted on time. However, both rebates were denied by Verizon because the UPC labels attached to the boxes - by Cellular Buys, I was told by a Verizon representative - had no valid product UPC codes on them, even though they had the correct serial number near the bar codes on the box.
When I called Verizon, the person on the phone - in answering the question "do you have problems like this from Cellular Buys frequently" - replied to me "you have no idea how often this happens."
They make great offers - but the offer implies you're going to get the rebates. They don't pay the rebates - suddenly the deal sucks, and their customer service is nonexistent.
By the way...there is no way to get their actual phone number or address...If anyone knows, please let me know...I plan to take them to small claims court.

"It has been 2 days since I ordered 2 phones with verizon family plan. I am still seeing the same status. The customer service is horrible and seems like they are reading a script. They suggested I talk to Verizon directly. Why should I be talking to Verizon directly about the delay??
As of right now, I have no status for my order. I have no idea when I will get my order.
I am very dissatisfied with cellular buys right now unless I hear something from them soon or get my phones.

"Good experience with this site. Last January I ordered two new Motorola flip phones with a Verizon family plan. They handled moving my phone numbers from T-Mobile. Placed order online, then they called me to verify some information and phones arrived 2 days later. When we charged the phones and turned them on they were working on Verizon and ready to make calls. Shipping was free. Waited to rate them until rebates came. Waiting months to submit rebates was a pain but they came. Was nervous about buying from an online agent instead of going straight to Verizon but I have no complaints. Would order from cellularbuys again."
