"Even though its three years ago I have to laugh at the total BS from "Roger" at Celluloco. The response is a bunch of crap! None of what he states is true, I was a local buyer I was overcharged for the phone and once the bank received all of my proof the reversed the charge and all of the money was returned to me. Nice try Celluloco, and by the way your BBB rating of F doesn't stand for fantastic. What makes this even more ridiculous is "Roger" claims to have dealt with me HA HA it was Walter, furthermore I have not used my name nor have I included the model of the phone. Nice try!

Here is my original review and there "response"
"Buyer Beware!!! I purchased a phone from Celluloco, I was charged an extra $1200 for the phone. Luckily I printed the page with the correct price for the phone and it was date and time stamped. I made countless calls and sent many emails and never received a response. Two days later I went into my bank and I filed a claim stating that I was over charged. The bank gave me a provisional credit until they investigated, well they came back and told me that they were going to take the money back unless I had more information. I proceeded to give them a copy of the price sheet with the date and time stamped on it and copies of the email. Two days later I received notification from the bank stating that I can keep the money that my claim has been completed. STAY AWAY FROM CELLULOCO. They are crooks!!.

My name is Roger and I am the sales person at Celluloco.com who took this call.I am very proud of my decision not to accept this person's order and also of the scrutinizing way in which I treated this person who does not deserve to call themselves a prospective client. Since every story has got two sides, the missing side of this one are the facts that unraveled in the security check process as I delineate below:1. The billing address does not match records in the credit card issuing bank - MAJOR RED FLAG.2. The alleged credit card holder makes a direct comment about Nigerian scams to an e-commerce merchant - MAJOR RED FLAG3. The alleged credit card holder makes 14 phone calls to our customer service number from a PRIVATE NUMBER. These calls come in simulteneously while he is on live chat with us. - MAJOR RED FLAG.4. The alleged credit card holder appears on a different address as per public records and yet is not anywhere listed with credit card issuing bank on its historical for the mutual "client".- MAJOR RED FLAGWhen emailed and informed of all this, this person goes on as shown to insist to do business with us when anyone else would have gone somewhere else.Not at any time we called this person names nor used profanity as he went on to call us "crooks". Last we looked in the definition of one, there has to have been a benefit incurred on a person's behalf to be called one.In this case, we have not even processed this person's credit card. Given this fact, what exists here is a suit of defamation as we understand it in both countries (U.S. and Canada).What is crazy about freedom of speech on the net is that someone can come out and write these things about someone and actually believe they're the facts etched in stone for the world to be believe in not understanding that everyone is entitled to accuse and to defend. We thank ResellerRatings with the space on their forum to exercise that precise right. With much more heightened and improved mannerisms, we say to this person : get a life!

"Outrageous treatment of customers!!

In the hopes of saving people being hurt by sales reps of this "company", I decided to share my story. Ordered Lumia 920, that I soooo wanted. As the policy states they don't guarantee color, but urge you to contact them and verify availability. Chat button did not work for 2 days, the cs phone was dead and noone answered skype. 3 days later the rep finally lets me know that they do not accept canadian credit cards and tells me to get back to him when we sort our alternative way of payment. I say no problem and proceed to sort it out. Meanwhile, my husband (who has no phone anymore) tries to call them from gtalk to give them payment info and that is when the rep from skype and I get into the following conversation (long):

The whole experience left a bad aftertaste.This company equated buying a cellphone with gaining access to some nuclear facility... I found a great company though negrielectronics. Even though I will have to wait for my phone a couple more days, I prefer them already as they promptly and nicely answered my questions.. at least.

IT'S PURPLE. And it cost about 20% more than the black one. Well, I received a black one and once I phoned them, celluloco said: THEY DO NOT GUARANTEE THE COLOR and THEY DO NOT ACCEPT BACK THE MERCHANDISE.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

"I purchased a sony ericsson xperia x1 from this site and I sorely regret that I had, they overcharged me almost $200 more than that of the invoice amount. The customer service is good ONLY up to the point where you actually make the mistake of purchasing. No tracking number is issued which leaves you playing a guessing game as to when your order will arrive. I tried calling over a zillion times to know if my order was sent and for an explanation as to why I was overcharged but to no avail. The order did eventually arrive but I went through utter frustration in the process and will NOT recommend anyone to do business with them."

"Order went through fine. Confirmation email of order being processed received. 3 days went by and I never received an email confirming my phone had been sent or a tracking number (which they say they will send). Decided to call them to get the status of my order. After about 25 times of calling for 2 days (no exaggeration) I was finally able to make contact with a human being on the other side. While explaining to him that I had not received an email confirming my phone had been sent or a tracking number, magically I receive an email saying "My oder has been shipped". Still no tracking number. Eventually I was able to get a tracking number from the man.
I received my phone after a week and a few days of receiving my tracking number (not from when I placed the order). It was the wrong phone!!! And useless to me as it was connected to a company that was not my cell phone provider. I sent emails and made calls to return the phone to the company. No luck! About 2 days after my many emails and calls, I get an email basically telling me that they took it upon themselves NOT to give me the phone I ordered, but to give me a phone they felt was a good phone...WHAT!(Did I miss something!!)
To keep my sanity, I have stopped trying to contact them and sold the phone.
I did not want to order from this site from the beginning, but it offered the phone I wanted at the least expensive price.
So in short, the problems with this site are;
- Difficult to contact anyone working for the company by email or phone.
- They do not respond to emails or voicemails.
- They did not provide valid updated information on the status of my order (a service they say they will provide)
- Did not give me the phone I ordered but a phone they felt I should have.
Other things I notice about the site.
- They did not acknowledge my cancellation email of my order, that I sent in a timely manner.
- Not able to write a complaint (error page occurs)
- Not able to write a review (error page occurs)
- Post-order help page, non-existent (error page occurs)
To sum it up, not professional, bad business ethics.
Of course, this is my expereience. But the fact that it is near impossible to contact anyone who works for this company should keep you away. Do not order from this site.

"Be causious when ordering off this site. i reciently purchased a Nokia phone off celluloco.com. upon recieving the phone it was DOA. I managed to call the company and was told that they would send a e-mail with information regarding refund. since that communication i have recieved no e-mail and have not been able to contact them since.

Reviewer unbalances states below "I discovered that they were over charging me as much as $100 above the invoice". this claim is true under the terms of the website

"Bought an unlocked blackberry javelin from this online shop and it came in perfect condition as per manufacturer overseas. Travelled abroad with it and saved a bundle with foreign cards....I strongly rec the purchase of an unlocked mobiel for anyone who even flies out of the U.S. at least once a year....the investment pays itself in less than 2 trips... These guys have an amazing selection and will get the mobile out to you whereever you are on time. A straight 10! Thanks guys!"

"I bought a high-end Nokia cell phone from these guys. At the time of purchase, I was not informed that I would receive a Chinese phone that had been customized by a Chinese carrier. After spending many hours trying to get rid of the carrier branding and to get the phone UI to show up in English, I was only partially successful and decided to return the phone.

It took several days of repeated emails and phone calls to get them to give me an RMA number. During this process I was told that their "10 Day Satisfaction Guarantee" is accompanied with a 25% restocking fee. That's right: 25%!!!

After I shipped the phone back, I did not receive a credit to my credit card. I called Celluloco and was told that they take up to 6 WEEKS to process returns.

During my final conversation with these guys when I tried to get them to give me my refund, the sales guy became incredibly abusive and called me all sorts of names.

Truly an unbelievably experience from start to finish. Spend your $$$ somewhere else.
