"I was very pleased with the center cap I ordered for my 1999 Mustang. It arrived within a few days and fit perfectly. I would definitely use this site again!"
"I ordered a hubcap for my Buick; the site tells you what you need, and it was to my house within the week. It’s even shinier/newer than the ones on my other three wheels, and it’s held up for the couple months since I bought it. I’ve seen a lot of flak against these guys online, but I haven’t experienced any of it."
"I was pleasantly surprised when after a review I had written was replied too by CARiD too correct a concern I had about a purchase I made. Customer Service is very important to me and that is what will keep me coming back to CARiD their great customer service!"
"They sold me a hubcap That was supposed to be reconditioned. It was completely destroyed. It had dents and a tear in the metal and it wasn't even round anymore. And it didn't fit an E-150 van it fit an E250 Ford van."
"Ordeded a center cap for my 7 series BMW, part was shipped out and arrived in only a few days, however it was the wrong part (was plastic and supposed to be chrome) AND it was damaged. When I contacted them and politely asked how I could return it, their response was, "Look at the listing nowwhere does it state CHROME. Clearly stated at Painted Finish. We do not pay for return postage and 20% restocking fee. Again, read the listing." I replied and said I wouldn't pay the restocking fee because it isn't listed on the return policy on their website or on the listing, but I would happily pay the postage, and regardless of it being the right or wrong part, the part they did send was damaged, had scratches all over it and was beat up, so even if it had been the correct part, I would still want to return it. Their response was "we will respond directly to your credit card company. thanks." I don't know what they mean because why would MY credit card company help them, I already paid for the product and they are refusing to return it. I gave them a 1-star review on Facebook that just said "terrible customer service" and then they emailed me again, asked me if it was me who left the review, and accused me of threatening their family. Last time I checked a bad review is not a threat. Don't buy from this company unless you like dealing with whiney babies."
"Ordered a center cap. At the time the website said I would not get a tracking number. (Should have seen the red flag!) Make a long story short, they charged me and never shipped the center cap. Absolutely no way of reaching a person by phone. No return e mails. If you research them you’ll find they claim to be in several different states, opening a huge showroom and more. Complete false info to get your order. Investigations open now with several agencies. STAY AWAY! "
"We just received the caps we ordered from The Center Cap Store (after 2 weeks or so). It was the exact one we ordered and fit right, obviously. The only reason I gave 4 stars is they could have done better with communication if the item had been shipped and not left us wondering, especially after I saw all the bad reviews on here. I did not receive any invoice either. Otherwise we had a good experience with them."
"It's terrible I would give 0 if I can. Be careful , they don't even have a phone number they are not selling the original hubcaps! And if u need to return u won't get full refund!!!"
"Paid 85 dollars for used junk that was scratchwd up and fittings worn.....Stay away......"
"Bad experience. My center caps are heavily rusted. You are "not" buying new parts from centercaps.net!"
"I ordered 2 caps for my 80 year old dad , he was billed on 1/4 We have had no contact with Center caps to date. The website does not have a contact number other than a fax number.
Please contact me at ***-***-**** as soon as possible"
"I ordered a cap for a vehicle where there are only two choices on the CenterCaps.net website. Their catalog photos clearly show the unmistakable differences between the two caps. The stock numbers are not even similar. CenterCaps.net modified one of the caps that does not fit my vehicle to approximate the one that I actually ordered and paid for and sent it apparently hoping I wouldn't notice. I emailed CenterCaps.net to inquire about the switch and whether they had the model I paid for. Their return email did not even acknowledge the deception and declared that I could return the cap (at my own expense) and they would attempt to find the cap I needed "within 5 business days". WTH!? After all of that I may as well have just gone junkyard diving myself. All consumers suffer when these dishonest outfits are allowed to do business.
"
"Absolutely horrible! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Sent old, used, scratched up hubcaps!!! Paid $140 for them!!! BIG MISTAKE!!! I could have spray painted my existing caps! They only give u 14 days from purchase date to return... took OVER a week for me to receive. this meant i only had a couple days to get it back to them, less restocking fees & shipping at my own expense!!! UGH!"
"CenterCaps.net is an unusual online vendor specializing in only one type of automobile part: hubcaps. If you can visualize one of those junkyards with thousands of hubcaps hanging on fences and strewn in piles, but with a guy with a laptop in the shack, you'd probably have an idea of what this vendor is all about.
Here are my observations based on a recent order:
1. Their website is very well set up, provides good search tools, as well as some interesting blogs. The site gives you several opportunities to identify (for yourself) exactly what hubcap you need, and also for the vendor so they'll know exactly what to send you.
2. ONLY IF YOU LOOK VERY CAREFULLY at their "About Us" page will you find out that they only sell "gently used goods." This bit of hide-and-seek seems very intentional on their part. Do not expect anything new.
3. Prices range from reasonable to slightly high, but if you have hard-to-find items to replace (like I did), the price may be acceptable.
4. They accept all forms of payment, including PayPal.
5. Shipping is free, very fast and no tax is charged. Nice.
6. Absolutely no communication of any kind whatsoever will come to you after you place your order. After you confirm payment, that's it until the package arrives in the mail. The package I received contained the hubcaps and a business card. There was no invoice, no instructions for returns, nothing else, period.
7. If you do have to return something, you'll have to pay shipping both ways as well as a restocking fee. (Gotcha!)
In summary, I recommend only using this operation if you're absolutely sure you know what you're getting (and getting into). If they're the last resort for what you need, you may not have another choice.
