"Bought selector switch from CENTURY for an old SEARS battery charger that is no longer made. Wire connections on the old switch deteriorated and fell off old switch. Craig at CENTURY looked through several hundred wiring diagrams and correlated the proper colored wires with the proper switch terminals of the new switch. My problem was solved in 2 hours, start to finish. No extra charge. Will buy from CENTURY again. "
"I ordered an item but found out a week later it was not in stock when I called since I received no shipping or tracking information! The person told me that it says on the website that a person is supposed to check availability but it does NOT say that on the item webpage. I found the same item elsewhere, called back and the order was cancelled without an issue."
"From Century Tool and equipment, I ordered a Battery Charger on 21 Sept 21 and make a follow-up call on 28 Sept 21 as I have not yet received the item. I am told "it may go out this week". WHAT? 7 days and the part has not yet even shipped???? "Well, we're a small business here, so ..." I state "NOT impressed" and am asked, "Well, do you want to cancel the order"? Kneejerk reaction is, "yes, if your quality is anything like your service, let's cancel the order". At a time when most small businesses are doing all they can to hold on to orders and ship on time these clowns just seem not to care one bit about customer satisfaction. Obviously not someone interested in keeping the business afloat."
"Had a very hard time finding 5/16 x 3/8 reducing flare nuts. These folks had them and shipped them quickly at a reasonable price. Was willing to send product to Alaska via USPS Priority Mail, which some sellers will not do, if they will ship to Alaska at all. Would purchase from again."
"I have placed two orders with this company. The first order, a few months ago, was placed with an item that was "in stock". After a week went by, I contacted customer service only for them to tell me the item I ordered wasn't in stock and it was going to be 3 - 5 weeks. I cancelled this order. I didn't need it in a month, I needed it a week before when I ordered it.
I placed another order a few days ago. I called before and talked to customer service and made sure that the item was in stock and they physically had the item. The guy said they had two in stock. I immediately purchased the item online. Several days later, just like before, the order still says "processing". I then called and the customer service representative said the item wasn't in stock and it was going to be at least two weeks before they received the item. However, they already charged the payment. No place charges payment until the item ships.
This place is a complete joke. I don't think they actually stock anything. I think they list things that they can "get" but you have to wait for them to receive the item. It's a complete waste of time. Search for the item elsewhere. You can thank me later.

"Back in 2017 I needed to replace a power charging level switch on my older battery charger. Centry Tool & Equipment had the part, I installed it and it worked just fine. Until just recently I inadvtantely broke that same switch. I purchase another switch from Centry Tool but the switch was superceded to a the newer style switch. The newer style switch didn't have the correct wiring diagram to go from the old style to the new style. I spoke to David and he was very patient with me and he was able to make the wiring transition to the new switch. These guys went over and above to help me. Way to go David, kudos to you and Centry Tools & Equipment."
"Got the wrong part was told there was a restocking of 20% , returned part and now I'm told that they will not refund monies because the bag was opened and part was installed. We never installed Part (ac valves for a ac machine) and the bag was opened (ziplock) to inspect the product. Terrible customer service never offered a solution and now I'm out $100.00 and they will not send part s back unless I pay for shipping.

"Don't expect any customer service, even if its their fault! Their website was wrong and I ordered a part. It was wrong, and they would not refund my money, expected me to pay for return shipping, and pay a 20% restocking Fee! Over a $10 part! Good luck if you try to deal with these crooks..."
"New laminate trim bit. Bearing came off as I was routing 4x12 laminate top.Now I will have to replace the entire top. 450.00 because of a faulty bit"
"HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. SLOW AF. PLACED MY ORDER A WEEK AGO, HAD TO CALL AND CATCH ATTITUDE FROM PHONE REP... SENT THREE EMAILS ONLY ONE RESPONDED, ALSO RUDE AND ILL INFORMED. CHRISTIE WOULD NOT GIVE ME HER NAME AS A POC WITHOUT ME ASKING 3 TIMES. ORDERED ITEM "INSTOCK" 3DAY SHIPPING WAITED A WEEK CALLED, EMAILED, WASTED 2HOURS OF MY DAY, AND THEY ARE JUST NOW SHIPPING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CENTURY TOOL AND EQUIPMENT YOU HAVE BEEN BLACK BALLED."
"I read a lot of negative reviews on Century Tool and called an OEM who Century Tool reps and the OEM recommended Century Tool. I bought an Associated Charger and it was packed great and shipped fast with excellent e-mail notifications. Don't be scared away by the negative reviews, I had an excellent experience and recommend them highly."
"Contrary to the other reviews, my experience has been extremely positive. I had been searching for a replacement for the count-down timer switch for my rather old Sears 200a battery charger. Unfortunately Sears no longer is maintaining replacement parts for many products these days, but I was able to locate the manual for the unit and identify the switch in question. A web search brought up Century Tool and Equipment as a source and I ordered the part and a replacement knob (good thing because the old one broke trying to pry it off of the switch shaft). It arrived in a timely manner and was packed so well that an egg could have been shipped safely. It fit perfectly but when I went to try it out, the mechanical count-down timer wasn't working. I reached out to their service staff by phone and was promptly helped. The staff were very pleasant and understanding, arranging for a replacement switch to be shipped out promptly. It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm sure that if there are any further issues they will stand by it."
"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!! I ordered a part based on information supplied on the Centry Tool & Equiptment website. The information was false, inaccurate, and conflicting. In order to return the incorrect part and get the correct part, Century Tool & Equipment said I have to pay return shipping. This is unacceptable. As a consumer I expect information on a company's website to be accurate, true, and non conflicting. I understand that things happen and mistakes are made but this company should own up to it's mistakes and take care of their customers. I had to go round and round with their customer service department and the OWNER "Dave". Dave the owner was especially unpleasant to speak with. All he wanted to do was talk over me instead of listening to me (the customer). It seemed all they wanted to do was argue with me and point fingers. What a cheapskate....all this over $8.00. This was the most unprofessional and unpleasant experience I have EVER had with a company. If you are reading this please save yourself time and aggravation....BUY FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY!!!!!"
"Protect yourself and don't purchase from Century Tool. I ordered a pressure transducer for my Robinair A/C machine from them to avoid having to take my machine in for repairs. I installed the part and the machine acted differently but did not work so I ended up taking it for service. Luckily the repair shop wasn't that busy so they jumped right on it while I waited. They quickly diagnosed it as a bad pressure transducer while I waited and watched them install another one. The machine worked perfectly after so I know the part was bad. I related this to Century Tool and was told 3 time that someone would call me back. After almost 2 weeks of repeated phone calls I was told that they could not warranty any electronic parts that they did not install themselves. I asked why then did they sell parts that they couldn't stand behind? Obviously they only care about making a sale, not about keeping a customer happy. Don't support this type of greedy business."
"This is the worst company that I have ever had to deal with in all my years of purchasing. My first order took 3 months for me to get. Every week they kept telling me it will be here next week and finally after 3 months I asked to speak with a manager who then told me some of the items where discontinued. I was then promised my second order would ship out the next day and here I am 3 weeks later with no order. When I called back to cancel, I was told that it was a special order item and that I was NOT told it was in stock. You never tell your customers "No I know didn't tell you that". Well you did. The she cancelled it and hung up. "
