I started this physics course and I was told the book was last printed in 1983. I figured I would end up with a ripped up used version from ebay or half.com. The last class I had in which I had a similar situation (book last printed over 20 years ago...1983 as well, interestingly) I bought the book from India for the Indian Currency equivalent (Rupee) of $40 USD.
Well I first went to that Indian site and didn't find it. I then found CCThomas. What I didn't realize is that CCThomas is the publisher of this Physics book. Just to make sure this was no joke, I called their TOLL FREE NUMBER to check them out. They have been in business since 1923 or so...amazing. I bought the book from them for $97.50 shipped ($90 + $7.50 shipping from IL to PA). The book came in 3 days or so, it was brand new and the quality was amazing. The paper quality was outstanding, I was so surprised I got the book rather cheap. I was always told buying from the publisher would cost me around $130-$150. And for a specialized book like this physics book, I was expecting more like $200 since a lot of sites were selling it used for that price.

Overall a great experience."
