"I damaged my 2012 Camry. I needed a new hood, bumper and some other minor things. The Parts department helped me identify the parts I needed. Got a competitive price through Toyota Online.

That said, the parts department experience is severely lacking. Places an online order because I called dozens of times, left messages, and not once did someone pick up the phone nor did they return my calls.
It repeats “you’re the next caller in line” for 15 minutes and then at exactly 15 minutes, sends you to a voicemail black hole and hangs up.
After more than a week of calling and a dozen attempts, I drive the 25 minutes down there to talk to someone in person.
My order was, and still is, stuck in “processing” without so much as a single detail where the $300 car seat cover is. Of course the payment cleared a week ago so that was quick and snappy but not a peep about the product in return.
Best he could offer was “call back on Monday” to which I explained the frustrating call in experience and Colin provided me an alternate contact so I will try that but am not holding my breath.
Shoulda gone with the Amazon special for half the price and twice the reviews with 2 day shipping but noooo I just had to have the 4Runner branded one to make sure it fit."

"I ordered a license plate holder for the front of a 2015 Camry. I ordered it online. While in the area of the dealership I got this message… How was your experience with checkered flag… I was led to believe that the part was in. My first encounter at the parts desk was with the young man who asked for the order number. I did not have it ready because for some reason, I thought a name would be sufficient. This seem to frustrate him and he got up and went back into the parts area to, give my name to someone else and I heard him say “I can’t do anything with this“. Meanwhile I was looking for my order number and I found it and he begrudgingly took it and passed it on. Then somebody came from the back and said “do you want to verify that with a Vin number Because there’s a 10% restocking fee. I knew that when I ordered it and was confident and had no worries about the license plate holder and checked the box when I ordered it confirming such. He says the part wasn’t here and he could have it here tomorrow. I live an hour and a half away and told him that I’m here today but I won’t be back in this area for another two weeks and asked him to cancel the order. He was kind and said yes he would do that. I do understand that Toyota is not Amazon And will know in the future to just go right to Amazon to get items like this. "
