Outstanding Service and products

"American Dark Walnut Butcher block , oil finish, solid, full rails,  

I realized I never sent you any pictures of our butcher block counters! I also owe you a huge thank you for coordinating our order and the delivery of so many large pieces. We love the counters and shelves. Our contractor did a great job of trimming the shelves, cutting out the sink, and resealing. (I copied him here) Thank you again!!

Terrible customer service

"Horrible customer service. Called regarding a problem with my order and was told to calm down by Ed who was speaking a mile a minute in a raised voice. He made excuses about supply chain problems when the item is produced in Illinois. Ed says he's one of the owners, yet he also says he has little customer service experience. I will never consider ordering from them again and will pass on my experience to the multitude of friends that I still have in the food business."

Items lost & poor customer service

"Bought Kyocera ceramic knives & sharpener for delivery to Australia on 10 June '21. Last tracking data shows they were shipped
by USPS (ugh!), via CHINA!. Shipment was processed AND LOST( probably stolen) in Beijing. Chefs refuse to replace items (with a different courier). Not interested in this problem they don't care as no communication initiated by them. Situation reported to AMEX who are taking action. Do not buy from these people they are con artists & you stand to lose all your money!

Absolute Thieves!! Stay away!

"I wish I read the reviews here before ordering. I placed an order for a knife block for an international delivery which had a price of $25 for shipping. After placing the order and money taken from my card they emailed be to say the shipping was going to be an extra $20. When I said no thanks, just cancel the order and refund my money they proceeded to tell me that I was an idiot for not reading the fine print that actual shipping charges would be charged and cancelling the order would cost incur a 10% restocking fee even though nothing had been processed and the correct cost was not given upfront!

These guys are rude as hell, absolutely no customer service and complete thieves as far as I'm concerned. I suggest avoiding them at all costs!

"I have not even received the product yet, but will not do business with again due to horrible customer service. I attempted to call the customer service phone number for 20 minutes (busy) until I spoke with someone who was beyond condescending and rude. I asked for shipping information, because I had yet to receive this information via email. The man that I spoke with (assuming one of the owners) said that they "don't provide tracking numbers unless it is requested." He also recanted my order and said that I "stole the mandolin slicer" because it cost them only $8 less than what I paid. It seems to me that it is not my job to calculate a proper markup percent for their company. I would have gladly paid what was appropriate. He also went on to say that their "website has been in business before Google." I would prefer to pay 20% more from a reputable company. He disconnected the call with me quickly, most likely so that he could call Google and tell them of his grand achievement in Internet wizardry.

"For a mail order business, their packaging is atrocious. I was lucky that the goods inside the box were not damaged, but I am left with a mess of styrofoam bits, peanuts, and paper. No invoice or packing slip. They are closing out Nordic Ware, so if you order something in that line, call and ask if it is the item on the Web site. One of my items was not as advertised. Net: a third-rate mail order house that does not have its act together. If they are going to stay in this business, they have a serious learning curve."

"I found the product to be substandard, the packaging for shipping was well below the standards of online retailers - I was surprised my item was not damaged. They then insisted I return their packaging without covering the cost to return it. Additionally they send the return through a processer who take 3% of the charge. You can find better quality material at Wal Mart. Their shipping package consisted of a jury rigged brown paper wrap around the store box which was not rated for shipping."
