"It's forth time during last two weeks my account has blocked and reinstated within next 48 hours. I do not violate any rules, I do not share my account with anyone, I do not google answers and click on chegg links as a live chat agent said, I do not use any VPN service, I use only one browser, but my account keeps getting blocked automatically every day and then automatically reinstated within 48 hours. Moreover, after the last block, I did not even log in and use my account. Despite this, after a couple of hours, I've got an email that my account was blocked again due to "this account may be violating our Terms of Use". This is unbelievable. I paid for subscription, but I can not use it, because of this problem. I already lost a half of a period due to this problem. I contacted several times to live chat, but no one can help me, suggesting just wait for 48 hours and then all repeats again. In addition, few live chat agents just ended a chat with me when I asked a help."
"I subscribed to Chegg, sold by their ads for tutoring, and academic resources - like test banks and guided answers. All of them are useless. I am a STEM major at a competitive university, and their resources are almost always 100% incorrect. The ones that are correct, however, are not guided and they expect you to copy the online answers and turn it in. Also, they will work with your university to track you down via your banking info and IP address if you copy and cheat, so don't do that (word of advice). So, Chegg’s online questions, are incomplete, with wrong answers. Let's try their tutors, shall we? I have tried to work on worksheet problems with their "accredited tutors" only to find them humbly admitting that they really don't know what to do and that Chegg pays them even if their answers are WRONG. Yes, Chegg does not vet their answers AT ALL. Chegg is only useful to people who think they can get away with copying answers that show work, and may get them partial credit. But, they also track every single click on your account and will turn over all the info they have on you, like IP addresses, and banking information to the universities if asked. This ensures that whatever you do on Chegg, whatever is viewed, even specific questions, comments, etc. will be viewable by your school's judicial services. This is one of the "third parties" that Chegg will share your information with, if asked. At my school, the judicial officers regularly comb through who viewed any posts on Chegg pertaining to anything worth credit in a class since that does constitute cheating. In my opinion as a pre-med undergraduate at a competitive UC, Chegg is a waste of time and money."

" I returned my book and received an email FROM Chegg confirming that ups notified them about my return. That was January 3rd, it is now the 29th and I am seeking for help as I have been charged $150 to purchase the textbook without my consent. Due to the fact that they allegedly have not received any notifications about my return despite their email confirmation weeks before. I have very little money, I would be less upset if I could actually resell the book but I don't have it I shipped it back at the beginning of January. So now I am waiting for the slow customer service that I've been waiting a response for in the past hour."
"Honestly if I could leave a half a star I would. This company is, in a word, terrible. I ordered a two volume set of a sonography textbook, and only received the second volume. When I called to try and resolve the issue, the guy I spoke with assured me that he would have the first volume sent and I should get in within three days. Three days past and still no book, so I got on their website to chat with an agent. The agent I spoke to told me that not only was my first volume not ordered but that they couldn't send only one book of a two volume set, and I would have to place the order all over again. So I called, and the next person I talked to at first didn't see that I had already called and also said to order it again but then she said she saw where the order for it was placed. I told her what the chat agent said about not being able to send only one and she said that wasn't the case, so I said well why is it not here. She told me it could take up to eight days for it to arrive!!! No one seems to know what they're doing and I'm still without my textbook. Lesson learned. Next time I'll spend the extra money and just buy directly from Amazon. "

If the school asked them about any user who put a question from one of their exams, assignments .. etc. Chegg.com share with the school your email, history in Chegg.com and even your private chats with tutors.
this year, many students got warnings, some of them kisked out of the school, just because they published assignment questions in Chegg, and their school showed them a full chatting log, the chat where they asked a tutor to teach them how to solve a question.
Chegg.com won't provide all these private info for free, I think they charge money for this level of what I call it, SPYING.
This happened with me personally where I got a message from the college investigating with me about an exam question publiched to Chegg. The weired thing here is that I am registered in Chegg.com with a new email the college doesn't know. The only place I said my real name was in the chatting with a tutor.
In short, Chegg.com will sell, or provide all your private data to however pay, or ask them to do.

"This is our first and last Chegg order and we have had multiple issues. First, they canceled one book as an "early return" before we even received it. They have no idea why it was canceled. They refunded and said I could re-order, but the price had jumped $100. I spent 45 minutes on the phone getting it straightened out, including re-ordering the book at the original price, but having to wait another three days. Second, received the teacher's edition even though I ordered the student edition. Third, false advertising. Even though the title of the book says Inquizitive, etc. is included, it is not. There is fine print that says those items are not guaranteed even though they're plainly stated as included. Now we have to pay again to get the other things we need so that my child can complete her assignments. Chegg considers these things as supplemental options, but the instructor says they are required. Fourth, every box contains a can of Red Bull "energy" drink. I realize this one is personal preference, but people are dying from those things and I do not feel it is appropriate to be pushing dangerous products to our students. To Chegg's credit, they are quick to provide discounts (up to 80%) and refunds, but the time, hassle, and frustration, and disappointment are not worth it."
"I used Chegg for 2 months and then cancelled my subscription, but they continued to charge me for another 6 months until I noticed my PayPal transactions charged me $15 every month since then. I called and asked for a refund for those 6 months, and even that I had not logged in AT ALL during those 6 months (which they could see from my account activity on their side) but they still refused to give me a refund. Greedy company!"

On website and shipping slip, stated it would come with online access code(VISTAS 5E SE+SSPLUS VTXT), but no code upon receiving the book, so it made the rental useless, called the customer service, I was told online access code was not guarantee regardless what description on its website and shipping slip, really misleading, almost like scam, return the book right way, hopefully we can get full refund, never deal with Chegg.com again, absolutely not recommended, do not waste your time, go somewhere else even Chegg has a better price, because Chegg better price is worse than nothing

"I use chegg consistently for 2 years. I had a few minor problems here & there, my account being locked, numerous unanswered questions, lack of communication between me & Chegg representatives. I canceled my subscription upon graduation in December 2017. In balancing my checkbook, I realize that Chegg had been withdrawing money from my debit account for an additional 14 months. I called and begged for a refund as my account had not been used for 14 months. The Chegg representative verified that my account had not been in use. She still refused to issue me a full refund. I have experienced a $210 loss behind Chegg. I spoke with Supervisors at Chegg & they actually asked me to provide a recorded conversation of me canceling my subscription. Who has a recorded line on their personal phone? I did not know I needed a recorded line on my personal phone to be able to fight off FRAUDULENT behavior. I simply asked her, "when I call why do the representatives tell me that I will be on a recorded line if there's no recorded line?" She gave me no response. I will be going to grad school for Mathematics come August 2019. I WILL NOT BE USING CHEGG. ANY OF MY COLLEAGUES USING CHEGG I WILL ENCOURAGE THEM TO CANCEL THEIR SUBSCRIPTION IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE IT COULD TURN FRAUDULENT. FIND ANOTHER PROGRAM."
"I am so disappointed! I had heard wonderful things about this site but it has been anything but wonderful for me. I placed an order for school books for over $500. There was a free two day shipping for orders over $35. I needed my text books in two days. Five out of the 8 show they won’t be here for 6 days. One book I ordered showed a refund had been issued. I figured I hit a wrong button and repurchased it. Only to find out when I called it was out of stock and this is why it got refunded twice. They sent an email that I didn’t see until later but no where on my account within there site did they say this. Now I have $400 that won’t go back into my account for 5 business days and my books won’t be here for 4 days after they should. If you are or ever have been a college student you know the importance of having your books. My best advice is to pay a little more and order some where else. What a disappointment. This is a shady business, please go to another site. "
