"A package delivered to my home while I was at work that had two 24 lb bags of dog food, and treats. (Not a light package) Well I guess my box came with legs, because by the time I got home my package had left. I called Chewy to see if they could help me locate where it was dropped off and they very kindly replaced my order no hesitation no questions just pure kindness. Thank you Chewy!!! You will always have a customer here!"

Excellent Service!

"I recently ordered a few things for all my pets. The order didn't arrive in the expected 1-2 days as it usually does and I got a call from the shipping company saying they had lost my order. I tried to contact them again a few days later but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. So I turned to Chewy.com online chat option to let them know of my dilemma. Rebecca, the lovely consultant who I spoke with, fixed my problem so quickly I was stunned. She got the items replaced with no trouble. I honestly didn't expect such a quick and pleasant response. I didn't think this was Chewys problem but they were so good at helping me I will probably never shop for pet stuff anywhere else. I tell all my friends now to shop here. "

If your product review might hurt their sales they won't publish it

"I wrote an honest 1 star review about Lafeber Premium Daily Diet Parrot Food. It simply stated that this product as well as all other pelleted parrot food has corn as it's 1st ingredient, that corn is not a natural food for parrots and that corn is 1 of the highest containing foods of mold and it's micotoxins. That dog food is veering away from corn because it's not good for them.
Parrots are prone to fungal infections so why would you feed them fungus?

Lafeber Premium Daily Diet Parrot Food is 1 of their best sellers. I guess if customers knew what my review said it would effect Chewy's sales.

A company that goes above and beyond

"I'm a new customer of chewy.com. My dog has had some recent issues that require him to have specialty food. I ordered my first case and it came in swiftly and without any issues. I was running low so I ordered my second case. At that time, we had a different diagnosis on my dog's issue and he would require different specialty food. I had not opened the case of new food so I called chewy.com to process a return. They promptly credited my account and then instead of having me return the food, they asked me to donate it to my vet. I was taken aback by such a nice gesture! I was prepared to pay any return charges that the shipping would have caused but not only do I not have to do that but other dogs will benefit by giving these foods to my vet! I was so pleased with the experience that I felt that I needed to review the company for others to know about it. I plan to get my future food from chewy.com and I also plan to tell all my friends about how compassionate the company is so that they can also use them. 5 plus stars in my book!"

Scam artist at best

"They were charging me for orders and auto shipments and never sending anything out. I didn't find out til several months later when I went through my bank statement. It has been a never ending headache with them trying to get the money back and now that I asked them to deactivate my account they said they won't be returning the rest of the money. BEWARE of this company and take your business elsewhere, they're scam artist and mess up almost every order."

"We worked with Austin on finding a food for our allergy ridden puppy. She gave us a huge number of options based on the restrictions. Egg free, Dairy free, No pork, no beef, no chicken. The price points varied, but a majority of them were affordable options. We ended up finding a large breed puppy food from Nutro that matched all of our puppy requirements and a Natural Balance L.I.D. food that matched his adult requirements. She responded quickly with over five options that matched our lamb/venison recommendations. The foods are able to be ordered on auto ship for free shipping, which gives us a bit of a discount. This isn't the first time that Chewy has been a huge help by any means. They've always been helpful and quick to respond. Thanks Chewy! and thanks Austin!"

First (and probably will be my last) Experience with Chewy.com

"This was my first experience ordering from chewy.com. I ordered my puppy a navy tie with polka dots on it. I wanted my puppy to match my navy dress that I am planning on wearing when I do my attorney oath ceremony this Sunday. I ordered the tie on Wednesday and was told that it would arrive by Saturday at the latest. Today is Saturday and I still had not received the tie so I decided to call their customer service and track down my order. To my surprise, I was informed that my order had been cancelled because the tie had been discontinued since 2017 - 2 years ago. Yet, their website had said that the tie was in stock and on top of that, had I not called chewy, I would never have known about my order being cancelled. They did not send me a single email regarding my order and no notifications that my order had been cancelled. The customer service rep who spoke with me suggested that I go to Walmart or PetSmart instead lol... not very helpful. You would think that the company would have updated their website if a product has been discontinued for two years..

Chewy's Just the BEST!

"I'm a long-term pet owner, and have bought products from Chewy for probably close to a decade. They have always gone above and beyond. For instance, a couple of years ago, after letting them know I had received a case of cat food which had been damaged in shipment, and that one of the cans had been broken with the food having molded, they replaced not just one can, but the entire CASE.

More recently, I had to have my beloved, 16-year old cat euthanized. I had just received an auto-ship from Chewy a couple of days earlier, which contained a case of her prescription food.

When I contacted their customer service to see if I could return it to get a refund (her prescription food was pretty expensive, being over $56/case) I was told to just donate it to a local shelter, and that I would see a refund on my credit card within a few days. I thought that was wonderful.

But this afternoon, I received FLOWERS from Chewy with a sympathy card on the loss of my kitty!

I don't have words adequate to express how great Chewy has always been to me.

Long-Time Customer Severing Ties

"I've been a Chewy customer for years, but when I needed Chewy the most, they let me down. I live in a rural area, and my dogs need Royal Canin because of their digestion. The puppy I recently adopted has been on RC's large breed puppy food after recovering from malnutrition and hookworms from the shelter; everything else passed through like pudding. My vet is the only place within two hours that carries RC, but there was an ordering mix-up, and it wasn't going to come in until next week.

Not a problem, I thought. I can order from Chewy. So I did. In the order was also a prescription food for my other dogs, but I was told as long as I ordered before 4pm, the non-prescription food would ship out that day — except it didn't. The next day, I inquired as to whether I could expect it to ship, but was told the order was pending vet approval.

Rather than shipping the non-rx food — the puppy food — which I said I needed the most, I had to wait until Chewy called during normal business hours (since previous attempts were after hours for whatever unfathomable reason) to obtain approval.

I asked if there was any way the order could be expedited, because I only had enough puppy food for one more day, and I was assured Chewy put a rush on it, and it would be here no later than 8pm today. When the shipping status stayed in "label created" for the next 24 hours, and the food didn't arrive, I called to find out what happened, only to be told there was no rush, and it would get here Tuesday or Wednesday. At the very least, the person I spoke with then tried to help me come up with human food alternatives for my baby.

But, I was informed in the follow-up chat, I could have a refund if I needed to buy locally — a completely insensible offer, considering that was why I needed to order from Chewy to begin with.

I did accept the refund, but I'll be purchasing it elsewhere, probably Amazon, and this is probably the last time I shop with Chewy thanks to the complete incompetence and lip-service demonstrated during most of these exchanges.

Chewy best customer service

"I’ve been using Chewy for a year or more. I don’t usually agree to auto ship however they the best system. A few days before my auto ship date they send an email to verify I’m ready for the shipment or allowing me to change the ship date. When you get the product to the delivered to your door rather then picking up in a store and having to pick up the heavy bags putting in a cart then loading and unloading from the car and saving money!"

"Chewy has the BEST customer service. If they ever decide to diversify, they could train other companies on the value of goodwill and excellent customer service. I have NEVER had a bad experience, not even an iffy one. Today was their first goof (after about two years) on a shipment and they made it right with a smile. Totally pawsome service. (Thanks Veronica.) Never shop prices after my initial search when they had the biggest savings due to autoship. Why would I? No one could come close to their service. Food comes to our door, no issue when I need it earlier...I could go on and on. Chewy, you get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, two paws up and a tail wag."

Idiots!

"This company is a customer service nightmare. They can’t deliver a simple order to the correct address to save their lives. After repeatedly explanation that USPS does NOT provide home delivery service, only UPS or FedEx, they keep shipping orders via USPS that get returned to sender. Chose ANY other pet supply company especially for prescription medications that are needed on a prompt continuous and timely basis. "

WOW! Customer Service Experience!

"Wow! I am over the top impressed with this pet food company Chewy. Not only were they kind and understanding when they learned Fitz died they refunded me for the prescription food we had left and told us not to return but donate locally. Today I received beautiful flowers and heart felt card. I am a fan and loyal customer for life. I was so taken back I had to share. Hope this goes viral! What a way to treat a customer. Kudos to you Chewy and Tanadrian! ❤️ They are very competitive price wise but I would pay a bit more to receive this type of service and support a company that TRULY cares about pets and their owners. Refreshing in our society. I still miss my baby 3 weeks later but so nice to know people (strangers) care. This is who I will give all my business to! XOXO Chewy"
