"If a business could get a "zero" for customer service, Chock Catalogue would surely be my candidate for the worst company ratings score ever. I tried twice recently to order eight pair of wool socks, but each time the order failed to process. I received no purchase confirmation or "thank you" notice. I placed calls over several days to the Brooklyn-based company using its toll free, local and corporate numbers. With each call, I received the same pre-recorded message instructing me to leave messages, then telling me that the company's mailbox was full and unable to accept more messages. I tried one more number and got a VM greeting from a male who said we can't take your call but leave a message and someone will get back to you. At the tone, I received the same "mailbox full" message that I received using all other numbers. If this company is out of business, I'll understand, but, from all indications, it appears it continues to operate. How, I don't know. "
"My review is mixed because of the lack of communication. My order sat for 2+ weeks. Once I contacted them, they stated one item was out of stock; I requested the balance be shipped. On the next working day it was shipped.
Had I been informed by email they were out of stock, they would receive 4 stars, instead of 3.
If communication improves, I would rate them 4*. Their pricing is good and service (when I called) was polite and efficient."

"Chock Catalogue has to be the worst company I've ever ordered from. I carefully picked Chockcatalog because overnight shipping was offered. I was ordering for someone who really needed the items, quickly. Not only was my order NOT shipped the day it was placed, but my first call to customer service was not returned, the second got a snotty woman who told me that someone in shipping would call back to tell me IF they had sent it, no call, the third got her to tell me they didn't sent it, but refused to find out why. She then passed me to "a manager". Voice mail. Called back and was told that was the owner and there is nobody else to ask. Second message (getting progressively more irate.) No call back.
Thanks for nothing. Love to waste my time.

by 9/26/11 the money had left my account but the items had not been shipped. I tried to contact Chock catalog 5 times all with no response. I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the internet crime bureau and the New York attorney generals office. I would suggest that all with a complaint do the same.
It turns our the regional office for the attorney generals office is only 4.8 miles away from Chock's office.

"I ordered 3 pairs of men's BVD briefs and 2 pair started to fall apart. The prices were higher than what I had paid in stores and Chock would not replace the product. They agreed to give me free shipping on my next order. Well, I will not be placing a next order."

"HORRIBLE !!!! I placed an order online and requested over night shipping. About 10 minutes after I ordered it I called to cancel the order due to I found it about 5 minutes from my house ! When I called the gentleman was extremely helpful and advised me that he was canceling it and if for any reason it did not get canceled to just refuse the package and I would get a full refund. I did just this and the package was recieved back at their unit on 12/01. Every time I call about it they have to research it. I have now talked to "Mike" the supervisor who made me wanna blow my foot off ! He told me I would not recieve credit because I refused the package... Umm thats what I was told to do ! UGH needless to say today is 12/13 and Im still calling them... HORRIBLE"
