"The lights arrived in a cardboard box and when I opened it, the different strands were just wrapped in plastic loosely bouncing around in the box. I checked them right away because I felt they could’ve been damaged and while there was no obvious damage, the question is: is the integrity of the lights compromised because of NO cushioning to protect the bulbs. I bought some a couple years back and they didn’t last very long and I wondered this very thing so you can be sure if they don’t last long. I’m reaching out to the company because I’m not gonna have two more strands do the same thing as the other two. Skimping on packaging isn’t a good idea. Years ago I got one strand of light that lasted me a decade, but it came very packaged. These days there’s nothing in the box other than the lights and space for it to bounce around. "
