"First, I absolutely love the products I received. I had 150 old-school incandescent C7 bulbs across the eves of our house. I’ve been hanging them and maintaining them for years. The strings are great, but the bulbs… not so much. No matter how hard I tried to be careful with them, the color would scrape or weather off and it looked like I had more clear bulbs than colored ones despite me constantly replacing them. Our new LED bulbs arrived from Christmas Lights Etc and my som and I replaced all 150 bulbs. The globe is NOT a painted on color, it appears to be solid colored plastic… AMEN. Perhaps most impressive, I dropped 2 of the bulbs while we were on the roof putting the new ones in. Both bulbs bounced off the driveway before coming to rest. Neither globe showed a blemish and both worked perfectly after we retrieved and installed them. AWESOME!
The only negative in can say is that they were advertised and sold as “Twinkle” bulbs but they’re really just slow blinking. Yes, there’s a difference to me. The off-time of any twinkle light I’ve ever used before was a much shorter duration, which is what makes it appear to “twinkle”.
I also ordered some small LED string lights for the tree. Pretty much what you would expect but insanely bright. We don’t hate it, just takes some getting used to.
Here’s why I think they could do better on customer service based on my experience. Let me begin by saying that I acknowledge I should have been more careful when ordering. Long story short, my first order was totally wrong. I ordered late on a Saturday night , realized it early Sunday morning. I tried to cancel my order through my account but that wasn’t an option. I tried to call, but they were closed. I did some research to see if I could cancel an order since there was no way it would be shipped on a Sunday morning. Their site says if you email within 5 minutes of ordering they MIGHT be able to cancel it. That doesn’t even make sense. I placed a second corrected order and emailed anyway since they were closed in hopes that they could intercept my SNAFU first thing Monday. As I was afraid would happen, I received an email response indicating they could not cancel the order. USPS took possession of the package at 4:31 Monday evening. Seems like their should be a way to cancel and order ordered in Saturday evening that didn’t ship until Monday evening.
Anyway, my orders arrived and unfortunately, despite my best effort to get my second order right I ended up needing to return items from both orders. I went into my account to set up my return but unfortunately, it was forcing me to do 2 separate returns. Being a business financial manager (and expecting to have to pay the return shipping costs) I thought it most efficient to arrange to return them both in a single package. I called customer service but again established practices got in the way of common sense action. I was required to print 2 labels and package/ship 2 boxes.
Remember, all of this because there was no way to cancel an order that didn’t ship for nearly 48 hours after it was ordered. They should aspire to do better. "
