"Over the last several years I have purchased a bicycle, parts, and most recently a tandem frame from Chuck's Bicycle Closeouts. I assume it is a small business, because when I have called on the phone it seems to be the same person who I talk to. I am active in several bicycling forums and others seem to be very happy with Chuck’s as well.

The values have been amazing. The recumbent bicycle I purchased is wonderful and cost hundreds less than similar models available locally. The parts and frames have also seemed to be a much better value than any other source that I have found.

Most recently I purchased an aluminum tandem frame with an adjustable titanium suspension boom for the stoker, and a carbon fork. The price was just $385. Just the titanium boom and the carbon fork would have cost as much from other sources.

The quality of the welds on the frame are beautiful. It is extremely light, weighing approximately seven and a half pounds. The box also came with a headset and seat post which was not listed in the description. Unfortunately, the box did not contain the fork which was listed in the description. One phone call and I received an immediate apology and shortly afterwards an email with a confirmation number from UPS confirming the fork had been shipped.

I purchase a lot of bicycle parts online, mostly from the big retailers such as Nashbar, Performance Bikes, Colorado Cyclist, and Supergo. One can order online from Chuck’s as well, but it is so different when you actually call and talk to someone who really does know everything about the products that he sells. You just don’t get that from the big cycling retailers. There is also no arm twisting to join some sort of discount club. It is all very refreshing. I couldn’t recommend Chuck’s Bicycle Closeouts more highly.
