"I won an auction for a Xikar inline triple flame lighter. CB shipped it to me right away. Packaging was secure and no damage. The lighter was defective and Customer service representative RJ shipped a replacement immediately. Thank you Cigar Bid."
"I have a great appreciation and respect for Cigarbid.com and spend $2-3k a year with them. I have at times wondered how I could score incredible deals on certain cigars and wondered if the cigars were legit. A few times the cigars were dry and one time unsmokeable. I sent a message to Contact Us and they asked me to return the remaining cigars and gave me a full refund. Prices are great, auctions are fun. "
"Won a bid. Got confirmation email. Two weeks passed and no other correspondence. I reached out to their “support” requesting shipping details. Heard nothing go back, two days later I login into my account and bam my order that I won got cancelled. Again requested an explanation why my winning bid was cancelled and have not heard back. Avoid this place its a sham.."
"Been a cigar smoker for over 40 years. Spend a few thousand a year on my last and only Vice. Then using one of the top online companies for years always trying to catch a break get 25% off or free shipping. No more of that I make my own deals good enough that I don't worry with coupons and shipping. Cigar bid has exceeded my expectations. Quality cigars at a good price and excellent service. Just the fact!"
"Cigarbid.com is my go-to supplier. I have been bidding, losing, and winning cigars with them for the past several years. Some prices seem too good to be true but there's no deceit or exaggeration from them - it's a bidding site. You're at the mercy of your fellow cigar aficionados. The beauty of it, however, is you'll never overpay because you have full control and can set limits as to how much you're willing to pay for the item. The quality is great and I always receive what I ordered. There will be the occasional batch that needs a little more TLC and sits in the humidor for a bit longer but overall I have not had any issues that turn me off. Customer service is very slow but at the end of the day, they are quite helpful. If you're on the fence, give them a shot.
Long ashes, my friends."
"Great place with incredible prices, though you have to be careful not to overbid, keep an eye on the shipping and do not be hasty (Chances are you will have another go at the same item, the next round.). The selection is not as broad or deep as the big online dealers. However, you will find many things (cigars, pipe tobacco, pipes, merchandise etc.) for much less than the retailers. Various items that I have won typically are 35-60% off online sale prices. It is also not rare to win items at even greater discounts. Being patient, proper research, weekly shipping and a few other skills, will help one gain the most from cigarbid.
Why the bad reviews? Not so long ago the site's warehouse inventory management, procurement, purchasing software was
changed. This caused all kinds of trouble. Inventory, orders, shipping, customer service etc took a hit. The company was in a bad way with many growing frustrated by all kinds of issues. The site could not keep up and fell woefully behind. After a bit the company righted itself. Those who stuck with it found things became much better. Items were being shipped again, on time, with nothing missing, properly sealed and protected etc . Customer service has also picked up, answering and quickly correcting any issue be that damaged or problematic product(s).
The negative reviews about unkept cigars is also not the norm. If they are not optimal, placing them into a humidor takes care of most issues or if need be return them.
Cigarbid has been my primary source for many items through the years. I waited through the rough times and am confident they are back on track.

"No deals at cigarbid.com. Any time you win you will find the same cigar cheaper at cigar international.com"
"I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Cigarbid. Great low prices on quality brand name cigars. They have all my favorite cigars. I love winning the auctions and walking away with huge savings. Shipping is always quick and reasonably priced. There were two times I had to contact customer service. Both times the issues were resolved quickly and to my satisfaction . The first time I mistakenly bid on a single cigar thinking it was a 5 pack and tried to cancel before my weekly shipment date. I emailed and explained what happened and they emailed me back the next day that they can credit me the money back at the beginning minimum bid price since it was too late to stop the shipment. The second time my card got declined on a bunch of bids that I won. So they emailed me and I called the next morning and after a brief hold, a nice lady took my payment information and sent out my order. Most of the complaints seem to come from previous customer service experiences. Maybe they’ve revamped that portion of customer care or something. They remain one of my go to places to buy cigars. "
"My first months with this website were awesome. I have ordered or actually won multiple bids for diesel cigars. The diesel wicked cigars have been horrible. I have over 30 cigars in my humidor that are completely unsmokable. I contacted customer service and they gave me multiple reasons why that could happen. Every cigar tunnels or canoes whatever you wanna call it. Once that happens, the cigar burns down the middle and you cannot even draw on them. I’ve taken every cigar and cut them back a third of an inch all the way back to the label to see if I could stop the tunneling and I throw them away. I’ve removed them from my humidor. I have kept my humidor under 70%. I’ve even tried leaving them outside to dry out. Their excuse was that they are rolled too tight and that I can return them. To be honest with you I don’t have the time for that or It’s just a pain in the ****. I just won two bids with some more diesels. I have to admit some of them are fantastic, but every single one of the diesel wicker’s, I’ve had to throw away. Below the store, asking me for my invoice and for the order dates. I’m not spending any more time on these worthless cigars. I will give you my name and you can look up my order history."
"The last few times I had to contact customer service was very disappointing. They are rude and in general do not care about their customers. If I could leave less than 1 star I would. "
"Cigar bid is a site cigar page and cigars international came up with to get rid of bad stale musty cigars this is the truth and when they can't sell it on cigar bid they mark it down or throw it in an existing samplers, or they make a new sampler of bad cigars or they make up packs that are discounted and sell them on their actual websites now this comes straight from former employees! This should be a crime!!! Don't buy here u are wasting your money the bigger deal u get here the worst off the cigars are gonna be and that's straight up truth!!!"
"Based on all the similar negative reviews below, I see I'm not the only one who has been unable to get through to Cigar Bids.
It's bad enough they screwed up the same order twice in a row...but what is really horrendous is that emails to the customer service dept. go unanswered and phone calls are put on hold INDEFINITELY!!!! I've called several times and have hung up after 4o minutes of listening to their mind numbing hold music. I even reached out to Cigars International and at least they answered the call...although they said they would connect me to someone and it ended up being the same situation of being on hold forever!!!!
I honestly can't recall ever dealing with such terrible customer service...ever."
"I’ve won three items over two weeks ago. I’ve emailed over three times. I’ve been put on hold over 40min (over 5 times). They knew how to charge my CC but their customer service literally doesn’t exist. Pathetic and sorry service. Never again. Bid/order at your own risk!!!
(Won 3 bids on 8/29/22, and they haven’t even shipped as of today and NOT one phone call and or email back)"
"I have won three auctions, and I was so excited about the money savings - that turned to huge disappointment after trying to smoke them - the cigars were so brittle and dry (even after sitting in my 65% humidor for over three weeks). I will continue to buy from foxcigar.com for their top-quality cigars and service. I wish I had read the reviews before buying from cigarbid; what a waste of time and money."
"I ordered 5 cigars from cigar bid and when I recieved my order two of the cigars were cracked and one was so bad I had to end up throwing it away. I sent the company an email about two weeks ago letting them know of my damaged cigars and i still have not heard from them! They may have cheap auction cigars but you get what you pay for. I'm sticking with Foxcigar.com for my online cigar orders for now on. "
