"After writing the review below Citizen stepped up. They paid for freight shipping the bike back and gave me a full refund. Essentially they made me whole. Thanks for doing the right thing.
I am not impressed with the products of this company. I purchased a Gotham 2 folding bike in July and less then a week after I had been riding it the gear mechanism stopped working properly and it went from 7 gears to 5. This problem got worse and by 30 days of riding it was down to 1 gear. There was literally no shifting. Then the helmet I bought from them broke. And, the bag they sell is really cheap quality. Finally, I find their customer service lacking. When you email them they insist on a call and are available from 10-4 M-F. I am really busy and it is nearly impossible to call them during this time. That is why I use email. They need to get better products and communicate to their customers on the terms of their customers and not on their own terms."
"They're the least expensive among local sellers of folding bicycles. The craftmaship is comparable to Schwinn, Dahon and other ready to use foldable or non-foldable bicycles. My only gripe with them is their customer service. My last order which I just received 4 days ago was incomplete and I can't reach anybody at Citizen Bike. I've emailed their sales, costumer service and the inquiries dept. I still have to hear from them at this time of writing. Their bikes are good but don't go for the accessories and do not expect anything from their customer service. I'll give them a few more days before going to the Better Bussiness Bureau or the National Bicycle Dealers Association... This is a late but deserving update. I received the missing items a week after I wrote this review."
