"After using this company for the last 3 years, I can attest that they were not great at being prompt, but at least they followed through. Classbook.com has recently merged with Follett books and customer service has ceased to exist! After spending more than 4 hours over 2 days on hold, I still have not reached someone to help. The newly merged company has stopped working with ClassBook's former customers and representatives do NOT follow through. Do NOT use this company. Very disappointing."
"BAD costumer service. I purchased my son's books on July 14th. It is now August 31st, two weeks after school started, and my son still doesn't have his e-books for class and homework. It is really frustrating. When I call the 1-***-***-**** number they have not explanation... Helpless... I told the person I was speaking to, that I was calling back tomorrow to check and he got upset and told me not to call.. Then, I ask to speak to a Supervisor, after putting me on hold for about 5 minutes he comes back to tell me that the Supervisor can't speak with me at the moment because she/he was in another phone call ( Maybe somebody else complaining)
I wish I didn't have to buy my son's books from this company... "
"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE OR ABEBOOKS!
I am lazy so I cut and pasted the complaint I made about classbook and abebooks (they seem to be the same company) to adall.com, the search engine I used.
To Whom It May Concern:
I ordered a book from classbook.com. They came up in your search as the cheapest source for the text I needed, the site then asks if I want a new book for approximately 20% more if the used book is unavailable. This sent up red flags for me and is consistent with a complaint I read about this store on reseller ratings. I said no to a new text switch and received an order cancellation the following day.
Interestingly, they still come up cheapest in an Addall search; being the only store supposedly offering a used book for sale.
In my cancellation email, they tell me to visit their parter Abebooks.com, a site I refuse to purchase books from for the same time-wasting and deceitful sales tactics.
Is there any way for you to punish sites like this that lie to game the system and appear cheapest. Otherwise, your site is not really helpful in finding a used book at the lowest cost. I just wasted 24 hours and still have to go search for the text again.
Thanks you for taking the time to investigate this matter. I am including the contents of the emails I received from campusbook.com. Feel free to contact me if you require anything further.

"I ordered a used textbook from this website and selected the option for it to substituted with a new textbook if necessary.
I received a fairly prompt order e-mail. The next day I received an e-mail that my order had been changed. I logged in to find that neither used nor new books were in stock.
I appreciate the quick notifications, but it seems to me that online inventory management should be better. I've wasted time trying to order this book here because they did not know it was out of stock. I won't be wasting my time here again."
