"They have videos of this nice nerdy guy who loves clocks. It's a scam. There wasn't a video that fit my situation exactly so I emailed them asking for a recommendation. They made a recommendation, I spent almost $100. It didn't work. I emailed questions and received boilerplate responses. Shame on me for not checking reviews first and shame on them for their scamming. They want me to pay the shipping and they will only refund 80% of my purchase."
"They advertise in their YouTube tutorials that they have American made parts. I ordered a quartz clock mechanism and when it arrived it didn’t say “Made in USA,” it said “Made in China.” They also advertise made in the USA in their paperwork ads. They will not respond to emails. Once they have your money, it’s goodbye. Unscrupulous people. Beware!"
"First they sent the wrong parts for what I had ordered. After a very long wait they replaced one item, again after requiring alot of correspondence, they stopped talking. Try and call their customer service if you have any doubts. You won't get anywhere "
"Placed an order and it charged me for expedited shipping, $30 vs like $6. Immediately sent a message to cancel. Didn't hear back until 20 minutes before it shipped. 3 emails and an unanswered phone call despite them saying they respond to emails in 1-2 hours it took 24. Opened a dispute with my bank. Stay the hell away."
"After receiving a defective part, it took over a week to respond. Not only did they charge me twice, but I had to answer a lot of questions as to why I thought it didn’t work. More time went by so I contacted my credit card and they refunded my money. I then notified clockparts and 2 days later they said they just sent the part out and it was up to me to pay return shipping. What a joke!!!"
"They seem to have sent the wrong movement (non-chiming). They do not answer calls or email (their voice message states they will answer email , but that is not true). I sent a registered letter to request a contact. It was received, but ignored. Why did I not read the reviews before ordering? Ugh. And shipping was excessive."
"I purchased an electric movement. With shipping (way to high for one movement) it came to just under $50. My movement was DOA. I tried almost daily for 2 weeks to contact them about getting it returned and getting a working movement, and several times since over the next 6 weeks. Every call put me straight to hold and after 30 minutes the call dropped. Hitting 0 when calling sends you to a 3rd party call center that puts you on hold. Calling any of the direct numbers sends you to voice mail never to be returned. Using their web "Contact Us" messenger as well as trying to email the departments directly are simply ignored. DO NOT MY ANY MEANS SPEND A SINGLE NICKLE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! The only things that I can say went right is that it shipped fast and was packed well."
"I bought a movement that did not work when instead. I sent numerous requests for their required return authorization number. I have received no response from them to my numerous requests and it has been over a month and a half! How are they still allowed to remain in business!"
"I bought a clock movement from clockparts.com because it was supposedly made in the USA Mine did not work on installation and efforts to contact the company proved fruitless. "
"Have received hard-to-find parts fairly promptly in the past. When an incorrect part needed to be returned, I spoke with a customer rep who assured me an exchange was not a problem. Sent item back in late November. Have tried many emails since then with no response--they encourage you to use email instead of waiting on hold, saying that they're respond within an hour. Obviously there's no real interest in customer service. I'm writing off the $30 as a waste. "
"Their website says All Sales Final. I missed it and it wasn't on the invoice. Do not order from this company especially if you are a little guy."
"Found 73mm fit-ups on their website. I ordered 3 fancy ones. Total $96.48. I printed out the order confirmation. It clearly states 73mm fit-ups. They arrived fairly quickly accompanied by a packing slip that described the fit-ups as 70mm, and they measured 70mm....NOT 73mm! I called the company and after navigating the voice mail labyrinth, I pressed sales and got a female. I explained my issue, and she informed me that I needed to talk to Mike, and she would connect me. She did and I got Mike's voice mail. He didn't call me back for about a week. Meanwhile I left a couple more messages for him and emailed their customer service. When Mike called me he never identified the company he was with and it was a Pennsylvania number. Finally I figured out who Mike was and told him my issue. He told me they are the same. "Are you telling me that 70mm is the same as 73mm", I asked him. He then told me I was being "vindictive". I asked him if he even knew what that word means. He then called me an expletive. I hung up on him then. I got an email the next day from a female identified as "Customer Service Rep". She told me she'd look into it, and talk to the warehouse-man. WTF!!!! Really? Not another word back from them. I almost sent them back, but saw there BS policy about refusing returns without their prior authorization. I have disputed the charge and will get the money back. I would ship these back, but won't unless they give me authorization. This has been over a month and a half, and it's incomprehensible to me how this company operates and is in business if this is any example of how they operate."
"Took what I consider too long to mail clock movement plus sent wrong part and will not answer my emails."
"They sent the wrong size part and the hardware did not fit. They say all sales are final, which is wrong in this circumstance!"
"I went on line looking for a battery clock movement. This time it was for a large 36" mirrored clock. Found Clockparts had a "C" battery heavy duty movement. Ordered it and a week later it was delivered to the house. I had read the reviews and was hanging on wondering what experience I would have, but it worked out for me. "
