"purchased a 1tb nvme hard drive that failed right off the bat. was forced to pay return shipping. they sent a drive with an apple adapter so it was unusable. they provided return shipping for the wrong drive. after i get a refund i will have spent money and received only grief, a defective drive and a partial refund. if you need a company that cares about customer service stay away. they are sloppy and insincere. products are bottom of the barrel. "Needed memory to upgrade our Dell Poweredge servers and workstations. Reasonable price on the website, but called in and negotiated an even better price due to the volume of the order. Tech support was great and they threw in free ground shipping. Will do business again!

"John H. Freeman and Mark Maddocks are the con artists behind the 1-800-4-Memory scam (AKA Coast to Coast Memory, AKA Dataram Corporation, AKA memorybank.com).
These two have been ripping people off for nearly 30 years, by evading customers and not honoring their warranties. Freeman constantly creates "new companies" to market his crappy generic RAM (which has very high failure rates) and then dissolve these companies after a couple years making it hard for customers to return defective products.
They customer service is also very rude and evasive and they are quick to claim that they cannot find your order and that you might have bought it from some other vendor. Keep your receipts because if you can't find proof of payment, then 1-800-4-Memory sure as hell can't. Without a receipt, you don't even exist!

"I ordered a memory stick for my computer. It was DOA. Getting a refund was a huge hassle. I was talked to very poorly by customer service. I was remaining as respectful as possible on the phone, and when I said I was taking my business elsewhere the rep basically said good riddance. I had to pay for my own shipping to return the item. I wasn't expecting a refund after what I had experienced, but they did eventually provide one. I would not recommend."
"Made the mistake of dealing with these guys years ago, but at least I had the brains to give them a unique tagged address. They spammed me. Now, I get tons of spam to that address, which somehow got from them to people who sell "enlargement pills" and the like. (Transaction was years ago, so invoice number is long lost.)"
"Unbelievable. Don't know how they can do it, but somehow they do. Sixteen bucks for new 128 meg stick for use in old toshiba laptop, shipped free across the country. Had it in 3 days. Mem tested perfect. It does not get any better than these guys for speed and price of a quality product."
"I ordered a 256MB memory for my IBM X31 notebook. Very good price! Also, the shipping was also efficient! Although no brand name on the chips (anyway, it seemed reasonable because of the low price), it does work well!
The only small problem is: on the website there is no information update! You cannot track your order."
"I am rather pleased with the pricing for the particular memory that I had purchased, I installed it in my laptop and it has worked flawlessly. My only real complaint was with getting around the website, I tried to look for memory for my other computers and it took too much effort to navigate through everything, not to mention it could not find the memory that I was looking for, instead, I had to manually go through and search for the memory."
"This is the first time I have used this website. I went there to get RAM for my MACBOOK. I was pleased with the price, the shipping was lightning fast, and the RAM works great for my laptop!
I will go here for all of my macintosh memory needs in the future."
"I bought a 1GB stick of RAM for my Mac.
Easy to reach them by phone. They were American, friendly, and easy to understand.

"Purchased 2x256 memory modules for an Inspiron 8000 (trying to keep the laptop alive just a little longer). Ordered it the middle of one week. Got the electronic confirmation e-mail almost immediately. Checked order status over the course of the next couple of days. Each time the status remained unchanged, something along the line "Processing".
Today, I was planning on calling the store to find out what had happened. Upon arriving home, I found the memory had been delivered today.
Tonight (13 Mar 2006), I got e-mail confirming shipment - that the order had shipped on 10 Mar.
OK, that's the bad side.
The good - the memory arrived in decent time. It was indivdually packaged in anti-static bags. It fit and is running very nicely. It's amazing what you can do when you double the amount of physical memory in the compter (Yep, this thing shipped with only 256MB)."
"Ordered 1 GB RAM for Intel iMac. I chose the free shipping, which took 11 days using the US Postal service. I could have had faster shipping for additional cost. They sent a message when they shipped it, warned me about the length of shipping time, and shipping exactly what I asked for. I would do business with them again. No hassle."
"Fast, responsive, good price on what I needed. Enough said."
"Excellent experience. Easy to order, and find the correct module"
"Your WWW interface is by far the best I have ever seen! It is significantly different in many ways from all others I have seen.
Good prices, easy-to-use WWW site.
Thanks!"
