"I have done 2 FFL transfers with Dan from Cocked and Loaded Firearms twice now and they both went very smoothly. FFL transfer fee is $20.

The very fist time I bought a gun online was from CDNNsports.com and his name was on the preferred FFL list and since he has one of the lowest FFL transfer fee in IL I decided to try it out. Dan was very prompt when I emailed him for questions--and I had A LOT of questions since this is was the first time I bought a gun online-- I picked up my Springfield XDM 9mm competition 3 days after I bought it online without a problem! I had to dig in my wallet because i couldn't find 20 bucks and at some point he even told me I didn't have to pay the transfer fee but luckily i found some cash and I didn't want to not pay him either.

The second gun I bought online was a SR9C which I bought from Sporstmans Outdoor Superstore on 10/28/14 and that went very smoothly as well. This time I could only find $15 bucks in my wallet and the closest chase bank was about 20 mins away so I asked if he accepts paypal payments but unfortunately he doesn't. So i told him i'll use my credit card to pay. After checking out the gun I handed him my credit card but he returned it to me and told me that there is a 5% charge for credit cards so i can get it for free this time! I didn't want to just leave without paying so I just paid him $15.

I will definitely recommend Cocked and Loaded firearms for FFL transfers. I have not bought any guns from them though so I cannot recommend buying guns from him."
