"31 Aug I placed an order for a wok ring. They charged my card the next day. The phone number goes to a recording and the website status does not exist.
The only communication I got from them was the initial confirmation email of the order being placed. This confirmation email is suspiciously un-professional. The fact that the credit card was charged the same day as the order placed, with no shipment information sent is suspicious. Update: 26 Sep, almost a month, and no communication.
Reading the "5-star" ratings -- they seem suspicious, plus the grammar problems of the different users are similar, it appears they ARE using this website to water down the negative reviews.
10-Oct update:
If you placed an order and did not register a username, you don't have any chance to get status of your order online. Today I got through on the phone and was told to click on "forgot username" -- then create a username/pwd. Sure enough, there was some info on my order, but no real shipping info. When I had created a userid after placing the order that userid did not link to the purchase. This may be one of the sources of confusion.
Comet charges your CC right away when they place the order with the MFR. What is missing with proper business practice is that since Comet is acting like the agent, providing status is up to them.
I actually got an email from Comet "accounts recevieable" that showed they refunded my debit card 6 days ago. I won't be doing business with Comet any more since their concept of keeping the buyer in the loop rests on the OEM suppliers, not on them."
"I am actually following my two star review I posted last week with this four star. I would give CometSupply five if the shipping had not been on a bit slow side - ten days after the ordering. On the other hand, I got the best deal on the web - half the price of the market, saved about $35 on one pack of camping stove fuel - much cheaper than Walmart and right at my door. "After reading other's reviews I was concerned about placing my order for a Russound CA4 system, but their price was just so good that I had to give it a shot. If anything else I would just be able to dispute the charges on my cc. I placed my order on a Wed morning, and had it in hand the following Tuesday. I'm very pleased with their customer service (called to confirm delivery date) and the quick turnaround time. This is a legit company. I'd shop with them again."

"Ordered a video game controller through their website. My first thoughts were that the prices were too good to be true - and they are.
The website layout is horrible at best - I ordered my controller expecting it to be in stock and it wasn't until after I placed my order and scoured the webpage again that I saw that they DO NOT carry them in stock - they order from elsewhere and have them ship it to you!
The shipping itself is a scam. I paid $40 for the fastest and most expensive shipping service. When I checked the invoice that came to my e-mail it said that I had been indeed charged for the expensive service, but it showed a 2-3 day shipping time and a different (slowly) service! The only thing that was the same was the PRICE!
Not to mention that they're not the ones to ship to you in the first place.. you're basically just throwing your money at them.
The only positive (and I use that term loosely) experience that I had with Comet Supply was getting my refund. I called the next morning to request my order cancelled - the man on the phone told me that "next time, make sure whatever you buy is in stock from who you order it from!" in a very condescending manner but assured me I would be refunded the next day.
Waited over a week for the refund so I e-mailed them stating my concern.. got the refund next day.
Long story short - spend a few extra dollars and buy from a refutable company."
