"I ordered from Comfort House because I needed an air mattress for when we moved. They said they had it in stock although their price was not the best. So I went with them because I needed the mattress to sleep on when we arrived at our new home. I ordered it 9 days before we needed it.
We arrive and guess what? No mattress. I check Comfort House's website, find the tracking number and can't believe what it says. They didn't ship until 5 days after I ordered, and, although UPS did a nice job trucking it across the country, it did not arrive.
Comfort House is overpriced and slow. There were better deals on ebay and other websites and next time I consider Comfort House I will quickly disregard them and buy from a competitor. Lousy customer service and an overpriced commodity product - thats what you get from Comfort House."
"I would order from ComfortHouse again. I waited a long time until they listed the instant read thermometer as "in stock". Once it was in stock, I ordered it and they shipped it as promised. I got it without any problems.
Their order system isn't too fancy. Even though I shipped in via US Postal Service, I would have liked the fact that the Comfort House web site would have said, "Shipped, by USPS". Instead, the Order Status field is blank.
I ordered, they shipped and I got it without problems."
"I am very pleased with this purchase. The price was easily the best available on the Internet (I conducted multiple comparison engine searches). When I originally ordered the item (a KitchenAid ProLine Burr Grinder), the delivery lagged and I cancelled the order. They promptly cancelled the order and offered me a $15.00 credit in my next order as a way of apologizing for the delay. When I ordered later, they applied the $15.00 credit. The shipping was very fast, and the packing was excellent. The interface of their site is not the best, but they offer genuine customer service, they ship quickly (if they have the item), and their prices are awesome. Very pleasant experience. Excellent vendor!"
"Extremely pleased in every respect. I had not heard of Comfort House before and I wasn't sure what to expect. I took a chance with ordering and especially so because it was a multi-item order and I know firsthand from placing this type of order elsewhere that almost anything that can go wrong likely will. I did have to contact their customer service with a question and I received a prompt and courteous response. Items arrived correctly and within promised time and in perfect condition. I rate them a top notch operation."
"Avoid these idiots like the plague! I ordered a humidifier that attaches to my furnace. They sent me one that was used. It had hair and lint stuck in the gum that holds the parts envelope closed and the whole thing smelled like mildew. It was disgusting. I emailed and asked for a replacement. I sent it back to them and got an email stating that they had received it. After ten days of not hearing from them, I emailed again. They said that it was processing. Another ten days passed and I called and demanded a refund. They gave me the purchase price only. I got screwed out of $20 shipping costs because they sell garbage. "
"I ordered a Chattam & Wells heated blanket from Comfort House online on 12/27 and requested express service, for which the website said I should call. I then called the company, the person with whom I spoke said that since the blanket was shipping both to and from NJ that it was not necessary to order it express and that I could still get it by the end of this week (in time for New Year's), since it is a gift. Since then an automated machine has been calling me to get additional information. I realized this only because I saw Comfort House on my caller ID (the auto caller left no message). When I called back they said it hasn't shipped yet, that if I want it by New Year's I now have to pay $55 for express overnight shipping + Saturday surcharge. I was very frustrated because none of this was told to me by the other man with whom I spoke on Tuesday. The woman with whom I spoke today, though polite, made no concessions to try to satisy me as a customer, so I cancelled my order."
"This is a TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. They claimed they had a problem matching addresses on my card. So they decided to charge my card anyway, and not send me my merchandise. Anyone interested can just ask, and I'll show you all of the problems I had with this company. I requested at least 12 call backs, never got one. I tried to speak with them 7-8 times, got through once.. .and that got to voicemail.. Never returned the call... Absolutely terrible. Ordered on Jan 5th, 2004, and as of today Jan 22nd, have NO IDEA where my order is, and no possibility to get my money back as of now. "
