"We ordered an E-Machine power supply for a system in our shop. The carton we received had a shipping label on the side addressed to Comp-Recycle from a different company. Upon opening the carton we came to find out that they shipped us the DOA power supply that the other customer had RMA'd. The power supply was for a Compaq, not the part we ordered. I called information and got a phone number listed for that address. The phone number I got is ***-***-****. Every time I call it is either busy or no answer. Whatever you do...DO NOT ORDER from this company."
"I purchased a HD and AGP Video card from Marc at comp-recycle.com. The HD was DOA and the video card did not function properly and did not match the specs of what I ordered. I wish I'd seen this site first...
After reading the other comments here, I have filed a complaint with the USPO for mail fraud. I wish someone would shut comp-recycle down."
"I ordered 2 12x dvd drives, 3 64 meg dimms, 1 20 gig hard drive, 1 compaq motherboard, 1 1.44 floppy drive. All parts were DOA or busted or wrong items or both but mostly DOA. Don't buy from this guy. but if you have please contact the following legal organizations for help.
www.usps.com/postalinspectors/fraud/MailFraudComplaint.htm. Also goto www.ftc.gov click on file a complaint at top of page for consumer complaint form. Also visit www.ifccfbi.gov and file a complaint. These organizations work off number of complaints and pattern of complaints so please follow up on this matter, comp-recycle is betting that you won't because you don't won't the bother but if you add all the cases up in this forum he is making a fortune off junk parts he scavaged from a land fill or who knows where."
"I'm sitting here laughing at myself for being such a fool! I still accepted an order from these idiots after reading nothing but horror stories from everybody. That's what desperation does to you I guess. I was shopping for a motherboard, cd burner, and modem. I thoght the prices at "Junk.com" were REAL GOOD. But then, I looked at some of the customer reviews and backed away. I can't even remember confirming the purchase (do ISPs "sell" names and addresses to this scum?). When it "showed up" at the door unexpectedly, my first impulse was to send it back. But then, desperation and "maybe" took over. Even after the paying cash (C.O.D.), I still felt like chasing the mail carrier to take it back. Well, I didn't, and guess what? It was all wrong or non-operational. Their phone # was disconnected, e-mail was returned. Out of $34.65 with "shipping" (waddled up newspaper). Plan of attack? I'm in."

"I placed my order to these dirtbags and then researched them here and at other vendor rating services. I initially refused the order when the mailman arrived but my conscience told me that I had already placed an order and must abide by the agreement. 5 of 8 parts were DOA out of box. No response from the crooks except errors on returned emails. I figure anyone associated with comp-recycle, 6617 Phoenix PL. Plano, Tx 75023 are fair game, including the janitor. I seem to recall now that these crooks have been doing this for awhile and they setup near the decades old Saturday sidewalk sales in Dallas, a huge and well respected electronic-computer market. I wouldn't give these dirtbags a glass of water if they were in Hell or Georgia and dying of thirst. Adios from a Texan that grew up making deals on a handshake and fully understands the consequences of dealing a dirty hand. The following link has details of a gentlemanly protest against comp-crooks. Appreciation to Pete and the respect and weight that his concerns bring to this civil protest. http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/9812"
"i just sent a complaint to www.fraud.org, and if everyone would do same, maybe these crooks will finally be put out of business. I ordered 20 hard drives, and EVERY ONE WAS BAD. No judge or jury would believe that was an accident or mistake. These guys must buy scrap, and knowing it is defective, sell it for good. Please report them at www.fraud.org I had bought a post office money order to give to ups, but when found out these were crooks, i cashed it at post office, and gave ups my personal check which they accepted. I checked the drives real fast and when all were bad, i stopped payment on the check. i wrote email to them telling what i had done and never recvd a reply. I have the 20 drives i am keeeping for evidence in case anyone needs for a class action suit or anything like that."
"I guess I'm also a member of the club... I also wish I had known about this website before purchasing stuff from Comp-Recycle. In my case, I got screwed for 104.75$. I purchased 4 laptop hard drives and 1 Pentium III cpu. All DOA !!
When I found out about them, I've decided not to return the items as I don't want them to screw anybody else with those same drives and CPU.
I would also like to be part of any legal actions about these scams. I can be contacted at ****@****.
Thanks"
"On april of 03 i made the mistake of placing a order with these con artists,I wanted to put together a older system i had for my brother. So i purchased a amd 1ghz cpu and a asus v6800 video card ,at a cost of $54.00.But when i got the package the cpu was dead, and the v6800 was'nt a v6800 video card,it was a cheap vanta 16 meg card.
So i tried to email them but my mail kept getting bounced back and as far as a phone number their is'nt one one the site.I emailed them through the comformation emit i recieved and after only 3 days i recieved a rma number.Ithen sent the junk back on 5/8/03 and still have not heard anything, even after sending a few emails to them.I wish i thought about checking with Reseller ratings before."
"I wish I have known this site before I was taken by this Comp-Recycle.com
I am out of $173. It would have been more, but I wanted to test them before putting more money.
Items received are total JUNKS. The Company will not respond to my email and will not provide a telephone number.
I have contacted the post office and file a complaint. I know it will lead to nothing, but at least I try.
Here is how some victims are planning on getting back at these ANIMALS:
1. We know They only ship COD.
2. They do not accept credit card
3. They will ship quickly
4. The justice system failled to stop them.
Well!
1. All of us, keep placing Bogus orders
2. Provide Bogus addresses
3. Send these items all over the country.
4. They will spend some money on shipping charges.
This is only and idea from a very angry customer.

"i won't tell you who i am, but i have been complaining that i knew what was going on since 1995 and no one wANTED TO BELIEVE ME. THE PEOPLE HE IS INVOLVED WITH ARE SCAM ARTIST AND HE FAILS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR EXSISTANCE. I HAVE BEEN IGNORED AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN CAUGHT UNTIL NOW. IF THEY WOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ME INSTEAD OF THEM THIS WOULD OF NEVER GOTTEN THIS FAR. THEY ARE BLACKMAIL ARTIST, AND THEIR NAMES ARE DON WILHELMUS. DEBRA SMITH, JOE PERRY, KAREN AND SHARON MORRIS, AND TOM b. X-P.I. THAT GOT HIS P.I. LICENSE FOR THE SAKE OF SCAMMING. I HAVE REPORTED THEM TO THE IRS/CID FBI,. AND TO THE PPD NUMUROUS TIMES, AND I THINK THEY FINALLY BELIEVE ME AFTER 8 YEARS,. GOOD LUCK TO US ALL."
"Just to let everyone know that has been ripped by this company, I just talked to a Detective Holloway from the Carrollton, TX police force. He and others are preparing a federal fraud case against this company and are looking for any information they can get from customers. The fax number for all of your vital information is ***-***-****. Send any info that you may have to Det. Holloway's attention. Including correspondence with comp-recycle and your vitals.
we can take this fraudelent company down!!!!"
"I found your site too late. Ordered 4 hard drives and a motherboard - $130.00+. Of course, they were DOA. The hard drives had labels over the burnt chips. Took me a few days (and much frustration) to find the problem. Of course, I could not contact Comp-Recycle by e-mail or phone. I have submitted complaints to USPS and FCC, but don't expect anything to happen - after all, this has been going on since 1998! I notice that the website is "having technical difficulty"...I can only hope it's of the legal, criminal kind!"
"I purchased a Toshiba laptop DVD drive after finding the item in a Google search. I was impressed initially by the fast shipping, as I received the item only 2 days later. After installing on my computer, I found that the drive was missing the center spindle that holds the DVD media in place. Therefore the unit is useless, and I can not just buy the spindle as a replacement part to get it to work. I have sent several e-mails to the company and they have been returned. I got their phone number and have found it to be disconnected. Like the many tales of woe recorded here, I can confirm that this “company” IS DEFRAUDING IT’S CUSTOMERS. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE CHARACTORS UNLESS YOU WANT TO RECEIVE USELESS JUNK IN RETURN. Highly UNRECOMMEDED!!"
"I ordered a Segate Hard drive from comp-recycle. Like erery other person that ordered from them I got screwed. It was DOA. No valid Phone nor a valid email address. 100 percent scam. Dont order anything from carrolton TX. Not of any kind untill that community steps up and deals with crime. nearby business have been contacted (like ones in the same business in the same building) none will even acknowledge you. There is a pattern of behavior down there. "
