"I originally tried CompuCheap some years ago because of his Reseller score. I was not disappointed! You get limited options for your system, but that was just as well for me--having to select among 50 vid cards as on other sites was far more work than I wanted to do. Plus, Russ's philosophy is that he's only going to sell systems where he knows the hardward and software will be compatible. He's VERY customer oriented and the prices are great. If you have a problem (I had a couple of hardware issues on the first PC I bought from him), there are no questions asked (within the warranty period, of course). New parts will be on their way, and he'll call you if you need to be talked through the repair.
Would I buy from him again? I already have!"
"If it is more complex than a fan, I buy it from Russ. He found the hard to find m-board, while I didn't pay wholesale, it was more than compensated by the advice I got on components. I have been buying from Russ for 5 years and he has never led me astray."
"I ordered a motherboard and a processor (AMD Duron 1Ghz) from this company on the strong reseller rating they have here, and they did NOT disappoint. I got a call from them the next day asking if I knew i had ordered an OEM chip which didn't include the fan and heatsink. I had completely forgetten about that small little fact, so he said he'd throw one on for me. He also said that he just went ahead and upgraded the processor from 1Ghz to 1.2Ghz at no extra cost. How many companies would do THAT? It arrived the time specified, and I hooked it up, and everything seemed fine at first, but soon after, the computer started crashing randomly. I tried a few things, and eventually sent an email to the company because i suspected either the CPU or the motherboard. Almost immediatly after i sent the email, i received a reply from Russ. We went back and forth for a day trying to figure out what the issue might be. Eventually, we decided it would be best if i shipped it back to him, he tested the board and CPU, and see if that was the issue. It turned out it wasn't the board or the CPU, and if it hadn't been for all of Russ's help, I NEVER would have guessed what it was. Apparently, he's had customers who've had issues w/ an AMD platform and the Linksys wireless PCI card. Sure enough, i built the system back up minus the wireless card, and it ran flawlessly. So, in conclusion, GREAT customer service, GREAT product knowledge, and i KNOW I will come back again, and recommend friends here."
"Excellent merchant with exemplary service. : ) I ordered some parts to build computers for the non-profit agency I work for. Russ was able to accomodate our purchasing procedures. He special-ordered parts he doesn't list on his site for us, and they came very promptly and packed with great care.
One of the CD-ROM drives didn't seem to work, so I let Russ know I'd test it in a different computer to make sure, and send it back if it was kaput. Russ pre-emptively obtained and sent another drive, even though this is a special-order item for him (a black CD-ROM drive). That is some top-notch "customer-first" service! Can't go wrong with CompuCheap. : )"

"Selected CompuCheap based on good ratings and reasonable price. Submitted the order online, and got a call from Russ the next morning, to verify the shipping was different from billing address. They wanted to make sure it wasn't a stolen credit card. The order arrived in about 3 weeks, with everything as ordered - or better (didn't expect to get the KT3Ultra mb). Then we wanted to install a USB port card as well as the hard drive from our old computer. The label said: "Warranty void if broken without authorization," so I called. Russ said no problem, but they like to make consult with customer if the configuration is changed in case they know of problems that can occur. While opening the case, we found the ONLY problem in the whole deal - the intake fan had come loose during shipping. That's it. Everything else - hardware, software, shipping and customer support - OUTSTANDING! We will buy from them next time."
"I was looking for 512MB DDR-RAM, and CompuCheap had a pretty god price with shipping (and seemed reputable according to ratings). Unfortunately, my transaction couldn't be carried out because of some funky thing with my credit card, but Russ was very helpful. Within two minutes of me trying to submit my info, I got a phone call from Russ and we tried to see why the Credit Card Company thought the address I entered was different from the one I entered (it wasn't). I was impressed by how helpful Russ was since he called to check up on me, as well as sent follow up emails while he tried track down the problem. Great service!"

"I was very happy with the purchase of my new computer from Russ. When I was talking to Russ on the phone , he wasn’t a “pushy” type of person but a person that wanted to make sure that I got what I needed. We configured the best system that I needed and I don’t think that I could of done better anyplace else. I also had 2 small problems with the system (that I brought on myself and no fault of the system) and within 2 minutes the problem was solved.
When I ordered the system, the system was built and shipped ahead of schedule. And for shipping the system to New York State (approx., 2650 miles), it arrived in EXCELLENT CONDITION! I know in the future, I will buy another computer from Russ and CompuCheap BEFORE I’ll buy it from anyone else.

Added note: A case cooling fan went out on me and I contacted Russ in regard to it. It was already too late to send another fan out that day but he said that he would send it out on Monday of the following week. The fan arrived Friday (don't forget, I live in New York State - approx., 2650 miles)in perfect shape and as when the system come back in January, the fan too was packed so good that a Mack truck could run over it!
Warranty support from Russ is OUTSTANDING!!!
