"Ordered a retail Radeon 9700 and an AthlonXP 2200+. Shortly thereafter, they sent an e-mail saying they didn't have the AthlonXP in stock, that they'd wait for further instructions, and that the credit card would NOT be charged. I checked the bank statement online and the card had ACTUALLY been charged for both products.

Deciding to give them the benefit of the doubt, I called them and spoke to a kind representative about the order (I changed it to JUST the Radeon 9700). I didn't say anything about the charge on the card.

They fixed the order, removed the previous charge, and charged the correct amount. Thankfully, I didn't have to say anything about the charge they said WOULDN'T be there.

I was a bit wary when the original charge appeared on the credit-card statement, but they fixed it without a problem and I will probably do business with them again (if they maintain their low prices)."

"I have not ordered from this company - for the following reason.
On 5/7/03 I searched PriceWatch.com for 17" Flat Tube monitors. CompuHQ came up with a listing for a KDS XF-7T monitor for $104 plus shipping. A very nice price! However, when I entered their web site to order the monitor, I was given two choices. The first was the SF-7T monitor for $104 w/ NO manufacturer's warranty, NO return and NO exchange - and this was out of stock. The second choice was the same monitor with the STANDARD manufacturer's 3-year warranty for $129.90. Of course, these were in stock.
Now, I don't know about anyone else out there, but I have NEVER ordered a new item like this that did not include a manufacturer's warranty. So it would appear as though CompuHQ is, indeed, running a 'bait-and-switch' through PriceWatch. For this reason alone I will not conduct business with them."

"This company does not offer their Price Watch prices. I called them and told them that every time I tried to order the itme (XP2400 266mhz chip) I kept getting an extra 29.95 price hike. I was told that it was because it was listed for an oem version versus the retail box. Be careful ordering from these people. "

"Placed an order for an Athlon CPU 2800 after calling and Verifying that they had the CPU in stock. I then placed the order online as I was instructed to do by the Person I called. About 10 mins after placing the call I received an email stating that the CPU was not in stock and the order would be canceled .. I called to find out how that could be since I just called to make sure it was in stock . Tony Pham was very Rude and Insisted that I purchase a more expensive CPU because they didn’t have the one I ordered .. When I said I would wait till they got one in .. He replied that he didn’t know when they would have them .. and I should just take the Retail version with the heat sink .. I only needed the OEM version and that is what I ordered .. It is simple in my eyes that this company was trying the old Bait and Switch deal . When I asked Tony to speak with his Manager or boss he said No I had to talk to him. I will never order from this company again and would like that other Customers be informed about that issue.

I've noticed that CompuHQ will post the lowest price, claim that it's a retail package, but following the link on pricewatch shows that the product is OEM, and NOT complete. Three year warranty? Nope. Necessary cables and adapters? Nope. Necessary software? Nope. You actually have to spend an extra $15 to get these items, items that they claim come with it for the price on Pricewatch.com. It turns out that CompuHQ does this for many items.
