"I went with Compulsive Paintball since they were the only place that had everything I wanted in stock. I found that they carried a couple of items I needed that many other large online paintball stores didn't have.

I placed my order early in the morning and the item shipped the same day in the afternoon. I qualified for the free shipping for orders over $150. Their website does a good job with updating the order status and I got an e-mail telling me the tracking number. Everything I ordered arrived in perfect condition and the box was packed adequately.

My experience was good and I would definitely shop there again."

I really wish I had a something good to say, but I don't other than the shipment was timely.

I ordered a number of things totaling to almost $200 dollars. One item arrived defective. A bummer but not a big deal until I tried to get an RMA on it using their online form. To return the defective item, the web form was going to charge me a $12.98 restocking fee on a $85 product plus I would have to pay to ship it to them.. eeeek! So I called them.

The person on the phone, instead of taking care of the problem and sending me a different unit, told me call the manufacturer to get the problem resolved. I have had the product for less than a week and on 1st usage it was found defective I explained. He still pawned me off to the manufacturer to get my problem resolved. That just plain sucks and now I can't play this weekend's tournament.

One other thing. Compulsive Paintball charges you paypal fees. I have no idea where it said so, but it was not in the paypal invoice, but in the invoice AFTER I paid.

Really disappointed with this company. This is what I get for trying to keep local businesses alive in my state of PA.

Upon submitting this review, I received a call from John from the store once this poor review was published here on ResellerRatings.com.

He explained it was not their intention to pawn me off to the manufacturer nor have me feel that way. That is where better service regarding the issue with the product reside he explained.

Before his call I had searched the internet to find the appropriate place to call to get the problem resolved and after a few calls to the manufacturer, answering machine on the first few calls but during business hours, I spoke with support and things are now being taken care of. Even though I explained to John I had already taken motion on getting things square, John offered further assistance with the product. Kudos for that, John, and for following up with a call after reading my review here.

Regarding Paypal fees: I was not charged the paypal fees. The paypal fees on my invoice reflect the charges CompulsivePaintball paid paypal for the service on the invoice I paid through paypal. (Hopefully that makes sense to all you readers)

From what I have experienced over the years, I have never had to contact anyone other than the place I purchased a product from to get a defective-on-arrival product replaced. Every company sent a new product with a prepaid return shipping label for the defective products return, usually with a credit card deposit that was held until the product was returned. This was an expectation I had due to prior experiences with other companies and resellers. This is where the issue landed in this transaction. The fact that CompulsivePaintball called me to resolve my expectations and problem really shows something good about a company. The icing on the cake was a $20 voucher for a next purchase if I am to buy anything else from them.
