"OMG!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SELLER. Purchased a floppy drive from them, took 3+ weeks to arrive when I paid for 2day shipping. Horrible customer service. When I asked them why my order was taking soooo long, they said and I quote "WE FORGOT". Didn't even give me free shipping after that problem was resolved. Further more this merchant failed to mention that the floppy drive was refurbished. The item came in an used lan card's box. The box was inverted and they just placed the drive in it without a care if it got damaged during shipping. They didn't even use proper packaging.
I wish I could rate this merchant a -5 but unfortunately I can't. Beware of this merhant."
"YOU HAVE TO READ THIS!!! Look, don't buy from this company unless you feel really lucky. I'll explain what I mean by that. I ordered 10 Princo DVD-R's from this site on Aug. 4. Well on Aug. 12 I received my order. I guess that is pretty good for media mail. The packaging was ok. It was sent in a modem box turned right-side-out with some bubble wrap around the DVD-R. I guess that will do but I didn't expect to see a make shift box come with my product in it. That left a bad first impression on me. Next I pull the DVD-R out and take a look at them. I ordered them because I was going to try the Princo brand out with my burner and DVD player. So I get them out and take a look at them. To my surprise, the backs of the discs are black, not purple like all the other DVD-R media I have ever seen. Well I just thought it was a Princo thing and went on. I got to looking at them and it looked like about 5 of the 10 had already been burnt with something. Well Again I just thought was a Princo brand thing. So here is where it gets really good. When I pop the first DVD into my burner, the autoplay box came up and asked what program I wanted to play this movie with!!! WHAT?!?! So I chose power DVD. Lo and behold some Chinese wedding video started playing!!! I am not kidding you. There was a home made Asian wedding playing on my pc on this NEW dvd-r media I just bought. And it gets better. So I precede and watch this because I am floored. This wedding video goes on for about an hour!! (No I didn’t watch it all) I couldn’t believe it. So I thought I will just check these discs out and make sure they are dvd-r. So I precede and try to erase this wedding and what do you know it does erase the whole disk. So there you have it, they were dvd-rw discs. So the reason I say don’t buy from this company unless you are lucky is because whatever you order might not be what you get. In my case I must have been lucky because I ended up paying only $12.99 for a pack of 10 dvd-rw discs. That is a steal so no I didn’t send them back, and no I will not be ordering from this company in the future. Also realize that my rating of this company is somewhat inflated because I couldn’t rate them with negative numbers."
"I've been ordering PC stuff from computer123.com for several times and all went very well. Email notifications were sent immediately right after I placed the orders on-line. I am very satisfied with the products and services. Great store!"
"Ordered a cheapo ATA133 PCI RAID IDE card and two 56K modems. Didn't get any shipping info but it was easy enough to log into the website and track my order. The post office is sure a hell of a lot slower than FedEx. When I received the modems and the IDE card they were packaged nicely in static bags but not what I ordered. The items were a different brand and part# than advertised on the web site. Granted, there were of similar specs and abilities but I still didn't get what I ordered. They worked fine and I'm happy with them since they're cheapies but who knows what else they might substitute. "
"This company is owned by the former goons that started TAGRAM.com, Computer411.com and Clifford Technology. It seems that the owners keep changing their names on a routine bases in order to avoid all the negativity that is following them. Is this legal?? Look up them in the reseller ratings to see the truth about the people with whom you’re dealing with.
Please, do your homework before you spend your hard earned money.

"Hello, it's me again. The VGA card they sent me is really indeed the GE Force 3, not Ge Force 3 Ti 500 as they advertised. I verified the card by following the NVDIA website's FAQ verification process, and also by using the CoolBits Hack stuff, plus the feedback from many users that they see the word "TI 500" in the Video Card properties.
I made a few calls to them, and the receptionist and the technical support guy is quite patient and helpful. It seems like they bought these cards from a vendor sometimes in Jan 2003, and thought it was TI 500 (at least the tech guy told me he opened up one VGA fan and see it's marked TI 500 on the chip core). I see the Core Freq is only 200 MHz, while the memory Freq is 460 MHz.
Anyway, since they do not have another for exchange, I asked them to credit back $15. They had 1 day discussion, and credit my account on the third day. So, I pay a total of $66 for a GE Force 3 card! Not a bad deal after all.
Others may find the experience with this company unpleasant. For me, the adventure turns out to be a worthwhile trip. For now, I am a very satisfied customer. I may recommend this company to others. However, I strongly suggest you to make a call before placing an order. I think they are getting better in the packaging, at least they put some foams in my package, and it arrive in 2 business days by using USPS!"
"I have ordered from this company several times. I have never had a problem with the items shipped (other than USPS can be slow and packaging on one item was so-so). Their return e-mails are always received in less than one business day. Have even returned an item and all was taken care of."
"I was looking for SIMM ram, and Computer123 was the cheapest, so I checked the rating, seemed ok. Some bad some good. I wanted to give them a chance, so I ordered my Simms on December 10th 2002 online, and also picked up a cdr writer as well.
No confirmation email, or nothing for 3 days just said it had been processesed. A week goes by, so I send an email to the customer support, because they don’t have a phone number. I get a tracking number from them, obviously they didn’t think to send it to me. But, the tracking number is incorrect, so I email them again and get this response from George Liang” Your order was shipped with this USPS confirmation number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx” then I sent out another email saying that the number was incorrect, got the same response again big help George is.
2 weeks go bye and nothing, then in the mail a completely banged up box that happens to be the CDR box. The box looks like its been kicked around by the post service. Instead of packaging, it with a bigger box and making sure everything is secure, which it was not. The Ram inside the box had no padding, which another user posted. Therefore, now I have this CDR writer and ram that I am praying works. Would I buy from them again, probably not. I would not even recommend them to anyone. For a company with a 6 rating, they should be somewhere in the 3s, no emails, no correct tracking numbers, no proper packaging!
Next time, if im buying from anywhere in CA, I will buy from Newegg.com at least they care about their customers better!"
"My order was shipped promptly and arrived in good order. However, no padding at all in package so I was lucky to get it working. "
"Good prices, uptodate e-mailing, but the time until shipping was very long."
"I ordered a firewire card on 10/16 and as of 10/27 have not received any communication from this company. I have a feeling my order hasn't been shipped. The status states that it's in "processing", but what the hell does that mean? They should NOT state that it's in stock if they are back ordered."
"Prices are very good. Product arrived in its original box (turned inside out) without any padding inside the box.
Not a lot of communication occured (I got one eMail when I placed the order, nothing else).
I *might* buy from this company again if the prices were good."
"I placed an order on the 10th for a DVD drive, salesman promised it would ship the next day. This is the 18th and it still hasn't shipped. Poor excuse for a business. This is the last time I spend my money with this half-assed organization. Save yourself the trouble and buy elsewhere. All to save $3."
"Ordered a PCI ATA 100 Raid Controller card with free shipping. Ordered on the 8th and received on the 17th. It's acceptable, but their packing is very bad. They just put the PCI card inside a card box without any padding!!! I was afraid that my card will be defective, but luckily, it worked fine without a problem. I might order from them again IF they have a good products with a good price."
"Overall a decent experience with Computer123, although the standard so-called "free" USPS shipping is very slow. It took my package 12 business days to travel from the west coast to the east coast. As somebody else already pointed out on this board, the so-called "free" shipping is only free if you don't want your package to be insured. I chose to insure my package, just in case, so the shipping total came to $2, which still isn't bad. You get what you pay for in shipping though, a low shipping charge = slow service. Other than the shipping, the order went well. The product was still inexpensive and the blank CD-R's that I received work fabulously. I would order from Computer123 again if the price is right and if shipping time does not matter to me."
