"I ordered a Canon Powershot A400 digital camera as a Christmas present on 12/16/2004. The next day I recieve an email telling me the camera is out of stock, so I call the customer service rep and a confused sounding woman with a less than firm grasp of the English language informed me that the camera was in stock and would be shipped on the next business day. In a few days the camera arrives, and I wrap it up for Christmas. Christmas day comes and the camera is opened and it is DOA! Tried several different sets of brand new alkaline AA batteries and the camera will simply not turn on. The Monday after Christmas I called the RMA department and found out the entire RMA dept was out until Wednesday. On Wednesday I submit an RMA request. The next day I get an email back telling me that they don't do returns or exchanges for Digital Cameras, that the manufacturer is responsible to replace the camera. I called the manufacturer and they will only repair the camera, not exhange it, and it would take 7-10 business days to do the repairs. This has been an all around nightmare. The customer service at computer3g is dirt poor, and they have clauses buried in their sales agreement that absolve them of all respnsibility for the products they ship."

"I first found this company on PriceWatch (which I don't typically use to shop). I was initially concerned with the overall low ratings this company received. I checked out the website and found two contact numbers. First a toll free for sales 866/344-7687 and a long distance 732/346-6696 for tech support. I called the sales number and was able to speak to Kathleen (who's direct number is 732/346-9099). She was very concerned over the low ratings here and was unaware of this site. After speaking with her for about 30 minutes as to her company's response to these ratings, I felt comfortable with her and Computer3G. Kathleen verified the 8250 Scanner was in stock (website does not update real-time). Kathleen then took all my information and I placed the order over the phone for me. I immediately received an email stating account set up.

I am recommending this company for now, contingent with (as I told Kathleen) that I receive the CORRECT scanner in a TIMELY fashion. I will update once item is received, or otherwise.

I would call to place orders, or at least verify the item is in stock until this company's ratings get higher. Ask for Kathleen, or call her directly at ***-***-**** - I know you all have cell phones with free long distance, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Here's hoping Kathleen and Computer3G pull through.

Update.....
Haven't had a chance to word my disgust with this company, but here we go.
Three days passed by and no email or even an order verification from these people. I call them up and they can't tell me anything. The usual "Manager in a meeting." Must've learned that from Dell. So I basically told them that I needed to hear from someone within an hour or I would cancel my order, come back here and change to negative reviews. If my credit card was charged, I would dispute and they wouldn't receive anything. Well, 45 minutes passed and I got anxious. Hadn't heard anything. Well, finally got to a manager who appologized, couldn't tell me why my order was still processing and hadn't even been charged. Said they were working on their customer service. I told him with the service like it is, they have no business trying to compete with the likes of NewEgg (whose site they blatently ripped off) and ZipZoomFly. He said they would work on it and hoped I would try again later. I told him not a chance. I would rather pay more and get my order in a timely manner than have to deal with their antics. They've lost my business, I hope they don't receive yours. This market is too competitive to try and screw around with lousy service.

"I bought a product by locating the microsoft keyboard on pricewatch, then I clicked the automatic link to computer3g.com. When I received the productd, it was not the usb keyboard listed on pricewatch. The web site did not link properly with pricewatch.

When I told the company of the problem, they said that on some other page there was a disclaimer and they would not pay for return shipping. I explained that I never check other pages when I order and that professionally, it was there mistake.

They even said that although the product was listed free shipping, they were thinking of only giving me a partial refund so their shipping costs would be paid for. Very unprofessional.

I would say DO NOT buy from them.

"This online outfit has no place in business; their costumer service is unacceptable. Answering their phone, or their email for that mater, is not their every day’s habit; top of all the voice mail boxes are also full. I was going to purchase a Samsung ML-2552W printer that arrived very fast but was a DOA. Eventually I received an RMA after repeated unsuccessful calls and emails, with a FIVE days limitation on the return, forcing us to use o/n return shipping; after an other two weeks or so and repeated phone call attempts and emails of course, they refused to replace or return the broken printer (Samsung gladly would have fix it or replace it for us) but decided to refund the purchase price (of course not our expenses of the o/n return!); effectively leaving us with a net loss of more then hundred dollars.
The bottom line is that, I would not recommend this company even to my enemies.

"I bought a viewsonic monitor (black) on sept. 14th. The shipping was slow. Instead of getting a black monitor, I got a beige one. sent in a rma through email. Still did not get a response. I called them, and she said someone would email me a rma right away. Never happened. Still waiting for response . Never order from them. Use newegg.com

"Very poor customer service and even worse customer return policy, that equates to nothing. You can't read the fine print on their return policy because their is none. If you decide to return anything, your product will be placed wih the manufacture restricted item, whatever that is. It took them 1 week for them to give me this answer. Please avoid this seller and go to a reputable one like newegg."

"I placed an order for an item with Computer3g. The item was on back order for over a month. After I canceled my order with Computer3g I received no conformation of the cancellation and did not receive my money back. After 3 weeks I still did not receive my money. Their "Accounting Department" did not have "records of charging my account. After threatening to have my bank investigate the incident they responded by telling me that I should have my money in 48 hours."

"I ordered on March 5. They charged my credit card immediately, but a week later, they were still attempting to verify my shipping address - at least, that's what their emails kept repeating (I have used this card for online orders for a year and they are the only company to have a problem verifying my shipping address).

They did not respond to any of my emails or phone calls. I eventually had my credit card company put a stop payment notice on the account, informed 3G I had done so and wished to cancel my order. They finallly responded to this email and cancelled my order.

"I ordered an OptoRite DVD Burner form Computer3G (3D Plaza) on May 1st. I found the deal on Pricewatch. It as an 8x writer, had black and white face plates, and supported both +R and -R. The confirmed shipping on the 3rd and the drive arrived while I was on vacation in Oregon (7th-10th). All packaging was original and unopened. The price was right on with what was advertised on pricewatch. I received three emails. The usual thank-you email immediatly after pruchase, a followup with the order number, then a shipping confrimation number. Good deal."
